Random app crashes and data loss - Moto G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I am having a couple issues after rooting my phone and thought I would ask here before restoring my phone to factory. I rooted my phone not to long ago and started noticing this. It seems that while using any app that sometimes all apps just crash for no reason. This is very intermittent, and it seems to happen completely randomly. If i am playing a game it might just close, likewise with an E-mail app. The whole phone freezes up, the screen goes blank, and then it reloads the launcher. I don't get a notification that they have force closed or any warning. It is almost like my RAM gets full and Android closes everything, but I have monitored my RAM usage and it stays around 600 megs.
Another issue is that data both on wifi and cell networks seems to drop out. It shows that i am still connected but refuses to load anything until either I put the phone on airplane mode or restart. These issues may be connected but they do not happen with each other.
Anyone experienced anything like this? I haven't installed anything new, and I don't use battery saver apps.

[Q] Apps Running in Background and Airplane Mode/Loss of Signal

So I dl'd Battery Saver Dr app and when i go into running programs i see like a million apps running, some r android system apps so i leave those alone, but facebook, google maps, twitter, etc. All these are constantly running in the background. I kill the apps and they just start back up again. I go into their settings and change it so they never update...still running in the background. Google maps doesnt even have a setting to turn off the auto sync. Does anyone know how to solve this issue, I'm sure it has a lot to do with why my battery life is such crap.
On a side note; what is the deal with airplane mode going on by itself? It happens a lot after I end phone calls, but also at other random times. I have to turn it off, wait a min or two and hope my signal comes back. Is there a way to remove it from the phone completely? I really have no use for it, especially when it just goes on leaving me with no signal. I also randomly lose signal at times and airplane mode isn't even on. I know its not my area because on my old my phone I never once lost service in over 2 years. Now, I unlock my phone and at least once a day it says No Service.

Chinese phone not detect / cannot scan for wifi / use mobile hotspot after phone cras

I have an LeTV Max (x900), which is a Chinese made android phone. Quite high spec for its time. Anyway, it was flashed with an italian rooted ROM, can't remember exactly now as near 2 years ago.
Current problem is that: phone does not detect any wifi. When pressing "scan". nothing happens, not even any error message. Also, using the phone as a mobile hotspot no longer works.
Circumstances leading up to problem: the phone experienced excessive battery drain, it was quite warm and charging took nearly 10x as long. Eventually, the phone crashed entirely, and the little penguin logo came up on screen frozen. Had to hold power button for 20 secs to turn off. I thought it was battery suddenly dying (as had some trouble charging when low battery), but battery now suddenly seems fine again.
What have I tried: random wifi apps on play store, deleting / restoring hosts file (don't know if that makes difference).
Is this likely to be a software or hardware problem? A full reset is obviously the last option which I don't want to do unless I'm sure it's not hardware. Any definitive way to make sure? Thanks

Someone please answer: Why is my device lagging / stuttering after sleep ?

Why is my Android Tv set top box lagging badly after I put it in deep sleep, and then wake it up again? This normally happens after I have been using the youtube app to watch videos, then put it to sleep, with the power plugged in. I tried everything to fix the problem, including memory clean, restart all apps, virus scan, speed boost app and even system UI reset. The only thing that fixes the problem is to reboot the whole thing. Without reboot, the performance improves but only after a long time. But I don't like shutting down my device, I prefer putting it to sleep so it can start up quickly when I need to use it again and rebooting is too slow. So what do I do to fix it? My device is rooted.
Update: It seems that after searching other posts, this is an update issue to the android firmware for tv boxes but no solution has been found. One user claimed that putting the device to sleep without exiting app to home screen reduces the lag upon wake up somehow.

Google messages app suddenly real slow and killing battery...

Hi everyone,
I have been a generally happy user of Google Messages including beta RCS and messages for web on my Macbook / Chrome.
Sometime around 2 weeks ago it started killing my battery -- like running in the background enough to run your phone down in 4 hours, I also noticed using it was incredibly slow -- sometimes 30 seconds to pull up a screen.
Following various threads (others have had this problem), I have deleted the App, reinstalled, cleared cache, cleared memory and it always comes back working fine and snappy, and then within a couple of hours it is back to draining the battery and totally slow
Another problem, perhaps related, is that messages for web never connects unless the phone is on and you are using the messages app in the foreground.
You can change battery optimization to none, and it does better (not perfect) staying connected, but your battery is dead in 4 hours. If you change battery optimization to intelligent control, it may block it from running, but sometimes it doesn't and you still get battery drain.
I am thinking it could have to do with constant messages for web recnnects?
Any suggestions? If I can't figure this out soon I am going to have to switch because it is unbearable. It's strange that it worked so well for so long...what changed?
P.S. rooted with Magisk, NoLimits, and nothing crazy, but that was always the case...
Thanks,
MW
I'm having the same issue. Anyone else?

FYI: I figured out what was happening for me. I removed myself from the beta program and reinstalled the app and its way way way better.
Uninstall the beta version then trying installing Public version and if it gets any better then try to install the beta again after uninstalling the public version

Question Unresponsive Screen/Freezes

Hello,
I own my device for 2 years now and last week I decided it was time for a fresh restart and did a factory reset without any issues...well, until yesterday.
Suddenly, out of the blue, in games like Marvel Snap (card game) and Twitter app, the touch screen becomes unresponsive - only power button to turn screen off and fingerprint unlock works until phone thinks it is okay to respond again.
Weirdly, it gets worse while on Wifi and I notice a slight heating up during such temporary freezes.
My phone is practically useless especially while on Wifi now and doing a clean-up, a BitDefender sweep, changing performance settings did not work. I have to mention that it got worse when I set the power profile to ultimate performance so I am beginning to think there is some kind of overheating issue.
I am on MIUI 14.0.1.0 if that helps in any way. I keep all my apps updated.
Do you have any ideas so as to diagnose the problem here?
Thanks in advance.

Heat causing hardware issue could be possible.
A backup phone and migrate data and apps just in case.
Changed refresh rate to 120hz and uninstalled TorBrowser and the issue seems to have disappeared.
Took refresh rate down to 60hz and it happened again instantly. For some weird reason, 60hz seems to be the problem in my case.
I got stuck at "post reply" button for a few seconds just now.
Nah, nothing seems to work. The issue persists. Videos keep playing - anything happening real time keeps on, but touch controls get stuck/extremely sluggish at best.
