Fix a bug that caused weird graphics and touch issues
What's new in 2.8.0.0:
Add MTP support to recovery thanks mostly to bigbiff with a little help from Dees_Troy
Add command line capabilities - you can now execute various TWRP features via adb instead of the touchscreen
Add support for color in the console and give error, warning, and highlight lines different colors
Track backup and restore progress based on file sizes to provide a much more accurate indication of progress
Improve handling of /misc thanks to mdmower
Improve setting of time on Qualcomm devices thanks to [NUT]
Allow using images on slidervalue GUI objects thanks to Tassadar
Allow using variables and addition and subtraction in variables for easier theming
Add support for 1440x2560, 280x280, and 320x320 resolutions and update 240x240
Allow ui.xml file to include additional xml files to help break up the theme and make TWRP easier to maintain

Yes VZN Dev. Ed. G5 only

Makes me sad.

It was buggy using the fist time after install. Reboot and bingo. It will not write back ups to extSdCard. Works great besides that

Oh. Thanks for your info.
Massive Update has been released check op for change log ?
This is a really slick tool. Nice to be able to quickly try out the various recoveries so easily.
Just for fun I did a nandroid backup with a fresh install of twrp (I usually use the multirom version) and had a backup that took 16 minutes and 2651mb in size. I then installed philz touch and took a backup that took 20 minutes and was 3861mb in size. Guess I'll stick with twrp. (Although I might try the backup with OUDHS, that looked pretty nice)
Abso-lute-ly GREAT job, @Flashalot! Thanks for your hard work on this and sharing it. Thanks for giving permission to our awsome Galaxy Tab 2 developer Android-Andi to adapt this for the Tab2 models. I've tested the Recovery Switcher's beta/RC version and confirm he did it correct way, given credits and mentioned you multiple times there. I've clicked thanks button beyond all your posts in this thread, regrettably not so many people seem to do it.

Cool, @Flashalot
Please consider to replace PhilZ with the newest version next time, as Phil3759 has made important updates last week and solved some bugs that were there since v6.09.x (same bug also in CWM since v6.0.4.5 until today)

Bugs when running, only 2 buttons show up on the nav bar. And they don't do anything. All they do is scroll down. Doesn't go home or go back. Everything so far runs perfect. Will look more into it later..
yeah i keep them buttons off anyways lol...i cant fix that unless i reverse engineer and edit the binaries ...that wont be nice as philz has his messages turned off n i would need his permission for that n he is a busy guy do i dont bother him with lil hiccups like that lol...but apart from that i havnt met any glitches

[APP][CM11] Port QuickRemote from G3

Hey guys!
I've recently made a port of LG QuickRemote from LG G3. After a week of testing on our local forum I decided to publish it here.
info:
- all features are working
- ART is supported
- looking pretty good on non-standard dpi
supported ROMs:
- CM11
- Slimkat
- Mahdi
- maybe any other custom rom. OmniROM is not supported (you can only add your own remotes on this rom)
installation:
- flash the zip with the recovery
Many thanks to @RieGo, I'm using his flashable zip's (I just replaced apk's with my own).

Ok, thank you, I'll check it.
Not worked for me too but i changed "setprop ro.build.target_country UK" then it worked fine.
Cool, I might give this a try, QR is the only thing holding me back from using ART, although honestly QR on the G2 is pretty limited.. Narrow beam, and the main remote I'd use (DirecTV) is quite limited.
This way I'll have both I'll let you know how it goes on AOKP.
BTW, if anyone does have to edit the props to make this work, I'd suggest adding it to /data/local.prop not /system/build.prop
Works for TV but doesn't work for set top box (motorola) cm11
ART is supported
OH SH*T, i'm downloading it right now! That was the only thing which I missed on AOSP ROMs, thanks!
For an easy upgrade from the G2 remote, I deleted the LGquickremote.apk from system/apps and installed the zip via recovery. All my device setups from the G2 version carried over. No issues with art either. On latest Mahdi.

Hmm, my configurations didn't carry over, but then again, I just flashed the new zip and it cleaned up. Anyway, no biggie I guess. I only had one custom remote and it was only a few buttons for my AV center.
DirecTV works, but I swear there are less buttons.. Like I can NOT find the List or Guide button anywhere!? Nothing to do with this port obviously, but just odd.

No no, someone on a German speaking board asked me for help via pn. I thought it might help explaining it with some ss. But rge ROM I'm running has issues with ss (can't be saved) so I'm gonna set up my phone and SD card again.
Looks like its an error on my side.

TWRP Experiments Thread

I am creating this thread as a means to share some of my mods/hacks of TWRP with you all.
The first of this series(I hope....) is a F2FS Compatible TWRP 2.8.0.0 distribution :
1. Full TWRP 2.8.0.0 feature set with F2FS now supported. You will need a compatible kernel to use it and remember, it will NEVER be able to change the FS on your NAND memory.
2. NAND is pretty much everything other than your sd-ext, which can be wiped safely.
Download Link : Basketbuild
This will require ramdisk hacks on both the kernel and the recovery to wipe system and data. I have not included the required hacks in this edition because of some time issues but they will definitely be included on a future edition of this mod.
Next up : Fully functional F2FS setup....
The second experimental build is:
Non DT2L 2.8.0.0 image.
Up to this point I've been using CodyKernel sources in my compilation and the wake mods in that kernel are awesome. What isn't awesome is this wake mods in my recovery builds. My touch panel has been replaced once so it has ghost touches which keep locking TWRP every two seconds or so. Very irritating. So I've disabled the wake mods and done a new build with F2FS for everyone with my same problem to try.

I probably should have waited, but @z31s1g committed a Material UI into TWRP. Not a big thing. But it supports MDPI !!! Last time I built 2.8.7.0, it came out AWFUL. With properly resized drawables available, I think I'll try 2.8.7.0 again. Should look better

I've got an idea - porting aw3som3 and @kirmaniarslan's F2FS mod to this new version so that everyone has the latest version regardless of the ROM they're using.

Done. Downloads :
CM-12.1 Recovery
aw3som3
Non-awesome TWRP 2.8.7.0 is now available!!
Non-aw3som3/awesom3 JB compatible TWRP 3.0.0-2 images are now available. I have added the "for JB ROMs" label at appropriate locations to easily identify that within the recovery.
On special request of @hrkh83!
