Hello, I have a smart phone from ebay, its a CTC-MINI-ONE M3, IPS Android 4.2.2, MTK6572 Dual Core Cortex A7 1.3GHz. Iam not sure how it stacks up to other phones, but it works good & r the price well. I was wanting to root it. Also if I do root it what is the pro and cons of rooting. Would I be able to get a better rom to use.

There are many different rooting methods available.
Here is one tutorial for rooting nearly every MTK device: Android Development and Hacking > Android General > [TUT] MTK Root and CWM Guide (Really Easy)
Hope it works for you too.
If you have questions, please ask in the rooting thread.
Or in the Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
There are many pros and cons about rooting ... you may have a look at this thread: What the benefit for rooting a tablet? ... although it's about another device.

Hi there,
Since we do not have a forum for your device, and it is pretty obscure, you may want to ask in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting to see if anyone with the device has had success rooting it!
You say you have tried everything to root it, you may have tried these methods but here are some generic ones anyway:
Framaroot
Towelroot
Root Many Android
A friend has a Sungale ID1018WTA, its a 10 inches tablet... he ask me to help him to update or install custom rom like cyanogen....
Can you say me what rom could be compatible with it? i mean, i dont think could find a Sungale ID1018WTA specific rom, but maybe with cpu or any other information i could install a generic one....

1GB Hard Drive
10.1-Inch Screen
Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich

Hi there,
We don't have a specific forum for your device so I'd suggest asking here: Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting, although I couldn't find much about your device on XDA so you may have a hard time finding a custom ROM.
Thank you and thread closed!
So I recently bough a dual OS tablet here in the philippines.
Name:
Cloudfone Cloudpad epic 8.9
Specs:
Windows 8.1 full & Android 4.4.4 Kitkat
Intel Atom Bay Trail-T Z3735F quad core
2gb ram
8.9" Full HD screen
32GB rom (partitioned in half for both OS)
hmdi
and basically other tablety stuff
now I need to know, is there any way to root this device? I've tried kingo root but it doesnt work, tried framaroot but it's not supported i think.
There are other tabs with similar specs, namely Teclast X80h and PIPO w3f but I can't find the answer.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: iROOT does the job.
now only one problem left, still can't save apps to sd card. There's no "Move to SD" option in apps. Tried some kitkat external sd fixing apps but no success (those apps are root requred so they're legit)
Hi there,
I'm sorry but I can't find anything related to your question/device.
You must start asking that in the forum bellow for more answers from the experts:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Also you can use many app that help you to move app to sd like:
[GUIDE] Titanium Backup Move app data 2 sd
Good luck
I have a 7" inch Q8 Android 4.4 Tablet PC A33 Quad Core 1.5GHz WVGA Screen Dual Cameras WiFi 8GB ROM -PINK how do I updated it or stop all the problems like rebooting resetting my settings not remembering stuff its bs
Hi,
Thanks for using XDA assist.
Usually, problems like this can be resolved with a factory reset. Updates are limited to what the manufacturer allows, and there are no custom roms for your device.
Alternatively, you can post in the Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum to get help. Please note that in order to post, you will need to create a XDA account.
Good Luck! - gsstudios
My device is the "Blu Life Pure Mini", that is (Ithink he is, after a lot of reasearch in gsm arena) a mt6589t chipset device with android 4.2 jellybean.
But now I want to upgrade it to android Kitkat (at least), but there is no oficial update from BLU for my device. Anyway, BLU released an oficial update for Blu Life Play, that is a mt6589 (without the T) device. Can I flash the Blu Life Play rom in my device without bricking it? Or will I need to do some kind of port before?
If it is the case, how do I do a port? I need a really detailled tutorial to do it in windows, since I'm not a developer and don't know anything about linux. ):
