I have an LG G3 bought in the uk (international model) and i have been looking through all the plus sides to rooting and installing custom roms, tweak box etc.... But i just want to find out if when the android L update is rolled out will it update as normal without a root and also, what are the chances in something going wrong with the handset (as i don't want to f*ck my phone as you can appreciate) if anybody has rooted and has any feedback PLEASE let me know.

There are different way to root the LG G3.
Read here about it: How to Root the LG G3 – XDA Developer TV or here: How to root the LG G3.
Usually an offical update from LG will unroot your phone (if your phone was rooted before) ... at least they never come with root.
If you want to get feedbak from users who have already rooted their phones, aks in one of the rooting threads or just in the LG G3 > G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting > To root or not to root? thread.
If you have further questions, please ask in the LG G3 > G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.

[Completed] Please help!!! LG G2 Verizon

Hello everyone new to the forums here. I bought an LG G2 for Verizon I rooted via Towelroot. Im a rookie at this stuff but it seemed easy enough and it worked well. I wanted to unroot it so i tried the SuperSU app and it didnt work. SO I used this method where you use the ES file explorer method to delete certain files like busybox . It was on stock rom never messed with custom roms just a few tweaks. Did what it said and restarted the phone now it is stuck at the LG logo when i turn it on and nothing else happens I can still power it on and off and go into download mode. Is there a way to fix this or am I screwed I desperately need my phone back thank you!

Have you already tried this: [Q] Need help to Root LG G3 Stylus (D690) by spidyboy.
There are a few rooting methods mentioned which seemed to work at least a few months ago.
And in the How to Root LG G3 Stylus by apriansyahbintang thread, there is a second rooting method mentioned.
Maybe this will work in your case.
If not, please register on xda and ask in the [FAQ][HELP THREAD] LG G3 | Ask any question | FAQ in first post [Noob Friendly] thread.
Good luck !

[Completed] [Q] Is there any way of re-flashing the stock ROM of the LG G3?

I currently have an LG G3 from Verizon however, I used to be an iPhone User. Speaking of iPhones when you need to restore the iPhone, you can do it directly via iTunes (does the firmware and installs it on the device). Is there anyway that I can restore the original 4.4.2 "Kit Kat" software on the LG G3 similarly?
By original I mean the software that was originally approved by Verizon (since android devices get updates through their carriers)...
Thanks!
Hi there,
All you need is in this thread: [Guide] [VS985] Flash Back To Stock - KDZ Method (updated)

[Completed] How download and install official lollipop 5.0 on lg g2 sprint ls980 zvd

I'm from francophone country and I bought accidentally lg g2 sprint ls980 zvd (American version I think) on 4.4.2 KitKat that I can't automatically update to lollipop, the phone isn't recognized by lg pc suit and LG Mobile Support Tool is saying that the version I already have is the latest.
So is there any method to manually download and install official lollipop rom on my phone?
I don’t want to install an unofficial one to keep all functions (like video recording for example)
Please help.

[Completed] Please help with t-mobile lg g3 d851 lollipop 5.0.1 root

I have wanted to root my phone for a long time now and finally decided to try it. I attempted 3 days ago and have been trying ever since but nothing seems to work.
I've tried:
Kingo
Kingroot
Purpledrake
Towelroot
http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/general/guide-root-lg-firmwares-kitkat-lollipop-t3056951
I would try a classic root and actually wanted to do one more than a one click but I'm not the best when it comes to extracting files and all that file stuff.
If anybody could give me an *****EXTREMELY DETAILED ROOT GUIDE for an LG G3 T-MOBILE D851 LOLLIPOP 5.0.1***** PHONE I WOULD BE VERY, VERY HAPPY
(btw i know it voids you're warranty)
also if anyone could show me and equally detailed cyanogenmod 13 install guide i would be glad
thank you!
