Hi,
currently I am on stock rom with revolution HD v6. Yesterday my battery drained from 86% to 62 % in 7 to 8 hrs.
When I am seeing battery status it shows phone app is eating up battery.
See the screenshots attached.
Any solution for this? Thanks in advance.

I would suggest you to use any Wakelock detection app and see what's eating up the battery.

For some reason my screen started really draining the heck out of my battery and it's only set on about 35% brightness.
Here are my current stats:
Screen - 65%
Wifi - 14%
Call Standby - 10%
Phone Idle - 9%
Android - 2%
What are your stats? Is the screen eating the battery? Any ideas how to fix this?
Thanks in advance.

That looks usual
When my screen is on my battery drains about 1% per minute.
What is your max cpu speed?
Bad battery?
Those stats look normal for the most part, but it also depends on how long the screen was on vs how long the phone was on overall.
Cell standby appears a bit high at first glance, which definitely causes some additional drain if you don't have reception during standby and the phone is searching for reception.
RE:
Hey,
I am running MIUI ROM 2.6.15
Screen 25%
WiFi 20%
Cell Standby 17%
Android System 16%
MediaServer 7%
Phone Idle 7%
Music 4%
Gmail 3%
Media 2%
Google Services 2%
I used the built-in Battery Calibration to calibrate the battery like last week and I noticed that by the end of the day, I still had at least 30% of battery...
I use it to text, listen to music and talk everyday at night at least 3-4 hours with my girl...
I'd suggest to root phone, try a new rom, or use any calibration apps from play store and follow the instructions... worked with my 2 previous phones.. Huawei Ascend, Motorola Droid 2 Global.. and this is 6th android I have and I love it a lot.
The screen is set to 25%. It's only on for about 45 minutes.
I have rooted the phone and am running a very new rom.
i'm pretty much in the same position, my battery drains 1% per minute
I'm on T-Mobile and their "My Device" app will let you know if you need to replace the battery or not. Give it a try.

Are you running an ICS ROM? They seem to be so efficient at everything else that the screen is the major battery sucker. I've played PSX4Droid for a couple hours at a time, and it barely gets above 10% usage.
I run 2.3.4 virtuous unity. I can make it 24 hours before I charge it.
But the screen is the highest user of battery.

2.3.4 GB here but i honestly say the games and watching videos takes a toll on battery the most.
I used to have awful battery life on ICS and was able to narrow it down to the amazon app store....using like 35% battery.<--disappointing amazon! After uninstalling that I can get about 2-3 hours of screen time. If you're having terrible battery life after flashing a new rom you could try caliberating your battery. I use battery caliberation. When my battery is fully charged I run it, let it drain all the way down then charge it back up. There are probably other caliberation apps out there...or you could delete the battery stats from your recovery. Hope this helps.
edit: just noticed you're talking about Gingerbread, my bad, kinda skimmed over that Caliberating your battery could still help though.
background data
Since I've gotten my Moto G is December, I've never had any problems with it at all.
However, today I left home for school, leaving my battery on 52%. I turned off WiFi so that during the day the battery won't go down too much.
However when I came home, my phone was off, as apparently, it had drained all the way from 52% - 0% in a matter of hours while on standby.
I started to charge it at around 3:30 pm.

Now the battery has made a huge jump from 40 something to full..

Normal for the G. A ton of users have had it happen and their are at least a couple of other threads here about this behavior. There is no known solution as far as I can tell.
does anybody notice that when moto g is 100% & shows charged on the lock screen but if you were to go to native battery stats page you will still see 100% - Charging (AC) instead of 100% - Full?
mine shows 100% - Charging (AC) while on lock screen it says Charged
my N7 2012 shows 100% - Full
any ideas?
thanks

Got the same issue mate! Are you running stock KK aswell? Back when I had JB it'd charge fine to a true 100%, it simply doesn't anymore. Can also notice that problem when reviewing the charge through DU Battery Saver, for instance - it doesn't load the slow charge.
Pretty much experiencing a sudden drain from 100 to 98% in less then 10 minutes.
Do you habe Skype installed? That's a huge battery drainer. Removing it pretty much revived my battery.

Me? No I don't, actually performed a factory reset and wiped cache - the battery ain't calibrated to fully charge to the true 100% yet I guess but the drain is a lot better. As of right now I am on 1d 23h with 3h SOT, about 93% deep sleep and 49% battery left.

If you want to use Skype use version 2.8
So everyone happy that a factory reset and error cache fixes the slow battery drain ?

Hi I have a moto g XT1031 and recently I've been observing that my battery drains from 100 percent to 92 percent in an hour in airplane mode with on screen time of only 1 min. I tried calibrating my battery. Also I have no other apps installed only gaps.
I have the stock gpe 4.4.4 flashed on my device now but the problem is with every rom.

I've similar issue. I'm on 4.4.4 and I notice a huge change in battery issue. I've a feeling that it happened just after the 4.4.4 update. Someone got some ideas?
It's not just a 4.4.4 problem, been around for a while. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2654180
I find DS Battery Saver has a profound effect. Even in 'Balance' mode. Make sure you launch the module or app in order to start the service.

I was having exactly the same issue, then i installed Battery Calibration. Calibrated my battery 10mins after hitting 100% battery charge. Then discharged my battery to 0% through normal usages (let the phone automatically switch off). Then recharge the battery to 100% without interruption while the phone was still off.
This solved my problem. Hopefully it does the same for you

Try this app:
Battery Doctor (Battery Saver) by Cheetah Mobile Inc.
It helped me find apps that were draining battery. It may be useful for you too
Make it run for two-three days and then go to stats: it will show you apps that drain more juice

Ds battery saver is good but if you want full control over system apps like maps and other users apps try greenify, ds work as great task killer, but greenify hibernate app and work flawlessly you will control your apps like a rooted device, worth trying I am soo satisfied with greenify that I purchased full version

You have no cell signal?
Had cell signal all day
Don't get me wrong ,battery life is great so far today on 43% and had 3hrs 20 mins SOT,just strange to see phone idle at the top of the list
I'm having the same issue. Idle Phone drain definitely goes away when I turn on airplane mode but I haven't tried turning off WiFi yet. I transferred all of my settings and apps from a Pixel 2 XL that had no issues with power consumption.

If I had to take a guess, some app is draining your battery.

Dispute this still getting great battery life with 5/6 hrs SOT
Is there any app that can help identify what is causing phone idle to drain the battery
