What does this do? - Verizon HTC One (M8)

I recently just noticed this at the top of a picture. What is it for? What does it do? I thought maybe it was to mirror on Chromecast but it didn't seem to find it when I clicked on it.

I clicked it myself and it would appear to be some sort of sync/bluetooth method of transferring photos to your computer??
Not really sure though, thats just what it looks like based off of a first look.
Edit: it actually sort of does look like its for mirroring stuff to your computer

It is mirroring. It's for sharing your photos on a home network. If your computer and phone are both hooked up to a home network it'll allow you to show a picture or a video. It would not work for chromecast.

I think cause its a diffrent theme, click on your username in the top right corner near your notifications or where you would type to search a device, once you click your user name it will take you to your profile or the about me, then look at the bottom left of your page, there will be a little list you can open, says xda classic, change it to xda 2010 those are the themes
"Click thanks if I've helped you"
Cool thank you. Idk I can't see thanks on my Android, but I will hit it online later.

I guess you figured it out, otherwise how would you have a screenshot of before and after? Do you often take screenshots just in case something is about to happen?

Google image search is so much better now. You can drag & drop images into the search box, or click the camera and enter an image URL. I use it on a daily basis for work and it rarely fails me.

Getting these 'eventX-1703' wakelocks all of the sudden?

I have never seen these before until today...does anyone have any clue what they are? They go all the way up to 8.
The screenshot is the only information I have...I tried googling it but didn't find anything.
Thank you!

I want to say it's syncing issues, but I can't remember for sure. At any point, have you been out of range of wifi, or if not on wifi, poor data connection?
I will try to remember what caused the issue for me, because I have seen it before.

WiFi connection is strong, I was on WiFi the entire time this happened.
I just clean flashed so I am going to see what app was causing this, if you remember feel free to let me know.
Thanks!

Weird pattern on VR content

Hi guys,
I've just bought a pair of Vr scopes for my S6, nothing big, just a cheap pair to try some vr content in order to get to know the feeling.
Problem is that did not put the phone yet in the vr box, i was just setting some apps before using and when the dual display started i get some crazy paterns as in the pic.

I mention that i can play any games in normal mode and watch movies with no display issues, and i don't have any cracks on the display.
Please take a look at the photos, maybe you have an answer
Thanks in advance
