[Completed] App development but not sure where to start. - XDA Assist

Im looking for either an app that is already pre-existing or to create one if it doesnt exist that can help me sell my product.
I wholesale e-juice to several hundred stores here in california and keeping track of who, where and how much product and what price i sold it at on pen and paper is very time consuming and not very accurate. Im looking to create an app that will let me input notes for each sale, and gps location (and tag that location with the stores name) date/time sale amount, and bottle amount.
These are the features i need in order for this to be worth my time.
Gps coordinates with tags for stores
date and time of transaction
amount of bottles sold
price customer paid for each bottle
Notes for future sales to customer and schedule for to remind me
bottles left in inventory
flavor profiles for each line of juice
And hopefully in the future i can come up with a buying app for iphone/android so that customers instead of sketching what they want on paper or sending a cascaded email can tap buttons and send the order to me. At the moment im going to need it for android but if required i can switch over to ios.
Any help or direction is greatly appreciated, thankyou.

[Completed] Looking for a community to build an Android Widget for me.

I am looking for the development of (what I think) will be a simple Android widget. No previous experience in these things myself and am looking for a community online that could put me in touch with the right people to get it built. After a poke around on the Android Reddit it seemed XDA might be a place to start. I am aware these things probably cost money.

[Completed] [Q] News App Development

Hey,
I have an idea for an app but I am not 100% sure is possible. I would like to create a news app where I write the news that will be displayed and will be updated probably on daily basis.
I don't have much knowledge but I am willing to learn. So, it is possible an app like this to be created ?
If yes, could you give me some assistance like keyword so I can search and learn more?
Thank you in advance.

Hello, and thank you for using XDA Assist!
A Chrome plugin may be an easier undertaking than an entire browser with a transcoder tacked on. Unfortunately, I don't know much about developing for Android (besides an icon pack that was like following a recipe ).
We have some resources available to help develop apps, you may want to check out this forum, including the first (stickied) topic in it:
> App Development Forums > Coding Discussion, Q&A, and Educational Resources > Online Courses, Schools, and Other External Resources
Any questions about your progress can go in this forum:
> App Development Forums > Coding Discussion, Q&A, and Educational Resources > Java for Android App Development
Please note, you will need to register for an XDA account to post there.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

[Completed] Bluetooth hacking for android

Hi, I recently paired my samsung galaxy note 5 bluetooth with a stranger, who wants me to transfer a video i was taking for an event. I paired and transferred the video over to him but I cancelled it mid-way coz the file was over 700MB in size. The whole process probably took about half to 1 minute. My concern here is whether within that short period of time, was there any possibility that my phone would have been compromised, hacked and my personal data taken ? Thanks.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
It's conceivable. BlueJacking, BlueSnarfing, and BlueBugging exists. And personal info is rather small. Not to freak you out, in that time it's possible for the other device to download your encrypted passwords top be cracked at a later point.
Probable is a different question. Depends partly on how much you trust this stranger. Personally, I would be looking to change my passwords just in case.

Hi Jim, thanks for the info and pointing out to me the right threads to go to. I will post my questions in the relevant threads. I have also registered myself an XDA account.
On your comments on resetting the passwords, I think I will do it. Though it will be quite a big exercise. But better to be safe than sorry. Anyways, curious to know, besides my encrypted password,s what are the other data that someone might be able to retrieve via bluetooth within that short period of time?
Cheers,
Raymond

I'm no expert on security; what else comes to mind is IMEI and cell phone number, maybe even address book. Unlike the password things, there really isn't any control over mitigating that.
Hopefully your encounter was on the up-and-up.
