Has anyone got their Droid Maxx to mirror NFL Mobile on their Chromecast device yet? I will buy a Chromecast right now if it works with NFL Mobile. I assume if it can "cast" the screen, that if the screen is playing NFL Mobile, it will work, but I wanna check with you guys first.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff
I have not tried Chromecast, but I can report that the Wireless Display option works great with a Netgear PTV3000 Miracast device.

The Maxx isn't officially supported for Chromecast mirroring yet, for some reason. The NFL Mobile app isn't Chromecast supported that I can tell, either.
So, no, not yet, anyway.

I wouldn't count on the NFL making it easier to cast games.
They protect every single penny that they make.
Just an update. I went ahead and got the chromecast device, installed the app that allows the maxx to mirror with the chrome cast device even though iit isn't officially supported yet. Everything worked great. I watched red some and some games on my big screen instead of on my phone. It was awesome.?

This is a link to the experimental app that I found on xda. Worked for me to allow me to mirror my screen on my motorola droid maxx even though Chromocast doesn't support the device.

How about a thanks too? I have all of 3. That is about all my ability is worth, but maybe I can inflate my "value".

Has anyone tried using this on their transformer? Does it work. I'm thinking it shouls because it is based on flash, unless amazon blocked it for some reason.
Has amazon cloud music worked for you too?

Netflix instant streaming doesn't use flash it uses Silverlight. That's it why it won't work on android devices without an app.

Instant Video Works on Dolphin and Stock Browser in Vegen-ginger rc1.
Anyboddy using it? Is there any lag in displaying content on tv?
I'm using Chromecast, it works flawlessly.
And it's cheap.
S5 + chromecast = great combo
Make sure you not connecting to any router at the same time because when miracast connects it also connects to the nearest wifi hotspot you have saved and that will cause serious lag and picture breakup on hd videos.
Yeah, i would HIGHLY suggest not doing MIracast. I tried for +1 years trying to get it to work. BLUF: if you have a rooted device, good luck. I don't see the benefit of Miracast now that Chromecast supports screen mirroring (which works flawlessly). IMO.

Is there anything special you had to do to make your S5 work with the Chromecast? I can't get the mirror option (or whatever it says) to show up in my Chromecast app. I have an S5 Active.

No, mine worked right out of the box which was surprising since I have a custom ROM and kernel.

At least I know now it's possible. Maybe I can trick Google into thinking I have an S5. Thanks for getting back to me so fast.
i know it doesn't work for the G3. I have Xposed, wondering if there's a work around yet?
What isn't working? I have a Chromecast and the mirroring feature works on my phone.
No matter what, I can never stay away from android for long.

Do you have the beta option? I've never had any issues. Its a bit spotty but it works. Do you have the Chromecast app installed?

You need to also install the chromecast app from play store. What version is google play services on your g3?
Im using an unoffical liquidsmooth rom for my DD and chromecast works but it doesnt mirror butif i switch to the International rom everything works YouTube Netflixs screen mirroring.
Id love to get a fix for the mirroring and camera.
If you are running ART instead of Dalvik runtime it will just keep disconnecting everytime your try to cast the screen.
You have to run Dalvik in order for it to work.
The TWC TV app will not play live TV or On Demand. Instead of playing it just returns to the TWC app menu screen. Is this a known problem? Is there a work around?
Thanks, in advance

I'll be getting mine shortly and I'll be testing it on mine. Is yours rooted yet? The app used to have 3 issues-root detection, HDMI detection and USB debugging=on
No, it is not rooted.
They stopped with the root detection a while ago. I've been using the app on rooted devices for some time now. Hell it doesn't even complain about USB debugging being enabled anymore. As for the issue, I too am having it.
Then it's a video codec issue. That has happened on some devices. Last I checked, a 2012 Nexus 7 had the same issue despite it having the obvious power to handle this app. I noticed the TWC app didn't complain about being on my LG G Pad which is stock but rooted (hated that stupid root check anyways).
The app used to have an old issue where it would engage the video in SD (normal behavior) but then display a black screen as it tried to transition to HD. If yours is straight black, it might be something different. Try contacting TW support and see what they say (fat chance but worth a shot)
I just tested the app on my Moto X running lollipop to see if it was a 5.0 issue it complained about USB debugging but not root and worked fine. The app probably needs to be updated for the k1 soc
It also works fine on my Nexus 7 (2012) running 5.0...must be something about the Shield Tablet
The superior CPU this mediocre baseless app founded by apple can't handle the new supreme

It is also sometimes a ROM issue. I need to try my Nexus '12 again since I have a new ROM on it now. At the time I last tried it, the app would do the channel for a moment and then black out issue.
It worked fine before lollipop, after the update it force closes. Supposedly they've fixed the lollipop crash, but it didn'thhelp me. On the other hand I can use Hulu now!

Just got the update to Android 5.0.1 and it is now working
Ordered a new Roku stick and realized that the LG V10 will not allow me to mirror my phone to my TV. Do I need to get a chromecast or is there a way to get around this issue?
Roku apparently wont mirror with Android deviced on 4.0 or later. Come on...
I used to cast to my SmartTV all the time before my V10 bootlooped. There seems to be no first-party way to do it, but I just downloaded Miracast and streamed to my SmartTV (and my parent's Roku) just fine.

Kind of late to this since I'm looking around this forum. Did you ever get this resolved? I have always been able to stream directly by enabling Miracast in the LG Share & Connect setting.
