[Q] What is the best way to back up your smartphone? - General Questions and Answers

Is it using Google plus? Dropbox? SMS backup? My backup pro? Helium?

What kind of data you want to backup? Is it media, i.e photos and videos and music etc, or backup of app data, system rom, kernel etc?

Hacked Vault Account

i recently uploaded my personal videos on NQ Vault mobile app, which stores such data safely. But when I later
tried playing the video from the app, I couldn't . I believe the video has been or is deleted but not by me. The size of the video just showed 0 MB.
Does this mean I have been hacked and if so do they have my video?

You should get in touch with the developers of the app to see if it has just been lost in their servers! Also, if you backed up your videos to the cloud (Which is a feature of the app), they may be accessible from another device. Try logging in to your account on another device (if you have one). If you dont, your best option is to contact the makers of the app! :good:
@[email protected] I hope you get your files back!

Videos, photos, music etc.
BUt the most important for me are nandroid and TiBu backups.
Hopefully we get custom recoveries soon
Right now I have about 6.9 gb of photos, about 8 gb of music, and about 22.2 gb of movies. I'm putting the movies on there in preparation for a 2.5 hr flight plus hotel stay. I also have about 3gb of misc. files and titanium backups, and about 1gb of epubs.
Google play movies saved to sd....4k video...Dogg catcher video podcasts saved to sd...Google music...pictures of course.

Videos, pics, Roms[when we get some] and everything else.
Sent from the TermiNOTEr 4!
1) Nandroid backups
2) Videos and pictures I take of the kids.
With that said, I never use more than 10gb at any given time on my SD card. I've switched to networked movies and cloud music, video, and picture backups. I also always have a laptop with me. I can live without SD storage on my phones now without any effort on my part.

Apk backup with its data?

I made my Youtube app plays in background, with LP. How can I create a backup completely? I am not sure if the background mod is in data folder or not.
I will send this modified apk to my friend, which wants to use youtube in background.

Just use OG YouTube Downloader. It has BG Playback and a lot more features.
But if you want to do it your way, use Titanium Backup to backup YouTube, then send it to your friend from within the app.

Backup offline

What is the best option for HD all backup (app, settings, data) without using online services?
