(APP) HTC ONE Stock File Manager - G2 Themes and Apps

Hello Everyone
this is my first post in xda :victory::laugh:
iam bring to you HTC ONE Stock File Manager
features a clean and minimalistic UI, letting users explore and manage their Phone storage and USB storage. It includes the following options: Search, multiple file select mode, Cut/ Copy/ Rename/ Delete, create new folder, share files, view file/ folder properties (size, permission, location) and the option to sort content (by name, size, date modified, and type). It also allows you to view files attached through USB On-The-Go (OTG) device and copy them from USB to phone and vice-versa. The documents, images, and music files, etc. opens up with the standard file viewer. The manager doesn’t offers powerful features like other 3rd party apps but will serve your purpose for day-to-day usage
works fine on my LG g2 D802 here is screen shot http://s24.postimg.org/nadzrigud/Screenshot_2014_09_04_12_32_23.png
here is the download link http://goo.gl/VqN4SG

Great find, thx a lot!

* FTP/HTTP Server - Share & Manage your files without USB cable, just like Web Sharing or WIFI File Explorer, but we really does more because we can provide both Web & FTP transferring support
* SMB Client - Access your host computer from your phone, now using your phone to manage your PC via WIFI with SMB

* Zip/Unzip - Create and decompress ZIP archive. You can view your ZIP file just like accessing a folder
* Thumbnails - support jpg/png/mp3/mp4/3gp thumbnails
* Text Viewer - support very large TXT file. This feature is still under development, will continue to improve its functions
* Image Viewer - support both local and remote folder, we will support gestures and multi-touch in the future
* Search SD card
* Help your player to play medias which stores on SMB share (need your player to support HTTP streaming), just like some users on the app comments said that WE are the ONLY ONE file manager that could directly open some type of videos over SMB network
* File Picker - Let FE to help you anywhere you want
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Why choose FE? Here are the answers:
1. No ADs and it's FREE
2. Gives you almost everything you need to manage your phone's resources
3. Smaller size than competitors (Astro and ES are all bigger than 1MB, but FE is only 920KB)
4. Acceptable performance
5. Free technical support via email
6. Clear User Interface, most operations can be done only in touch
7. The ONLY ONE file manager that support both PC 2 phone & phone 2 PC wifi file transfer and directly play some videos and music via SMB
Give it a try and you will find more useful features!!!
Our Final Goal:
We want to make File Expert to be the best file manager/wireless file sharing app on Android platform
Thank you for your great support, and please give us a try and you'll find what you need! I promise.
Any feature requests or bug reports, please directly send to my email. You can see my email address below. I will try my best to reply every email I received. xinxiaoc AT gmail DOT com
Sorry for FC. 3-4 users reported the same issue. But we cannot duplicate this issue on our test phone. Maybe it depends on your software configuration?
Could you please send me logcat?
Thanks very much!
Starting here some bug feedback
Or well at first: File Expert is just Great!
In the newest update were progressbars for copy and more, they are not working.
I see the bar but its the whole time full as if the copy is already done.
Hope for new updates
I found this in one of the 'best new apps' websites. I am loving it. The network features really grab me. I can easily - EASILY - log on to our company network and browse files from anonymous or login-required sources. And it links trivially to my home network, allowing me to push/pull from any public drive on any of the computers at home.
I also really like the look and feel. It is my preferred file explorer of choice.
Thanks for a great product.
Great File Manager...keep up the good work.
It is really good. Only if it could gain root acces... it could be an excelent replacement for Root Explorer.
Just discovered it today, great work
Had high hopes for this app... FTP worked for me but HTTP didn't, was disappointed no root access or facility to mount etc... uninstalled... will be keeping an eye on it though
Would be great if you put sshd in there too....
it looks better than ES and astro but nothing is like ROOT EXPLORER! its so fast, small, usefull and handy. plus, it can access all the system file and folders so easily and quickly without any problem. i'd recommend root explorer for all...
Great app, successfully replaced Root Explorer for me. If only you can add an option to rearrange the toolbar icons, would be great.
I have remote smb folder containing about 700 images and it seems impossible to view last modifyed images first. Image viewer sorts images regardless of files sort order.
Very nice work!
Very good app! Uninstalled ES File Explorer. Keep up the good work.
I think this is not a best file manager for Android. Even not from top 100.
Does this program work if run from an SD version of Android?
ROOT EXPLORER is the best of all
[APP][2.1+] FX File Explorer Dev Thread (5.0: Material Design UI, Wi-Fi Direct Xfers)
[APP][4.1+] FX File Explorer Dev Thread (7.0 released)
FX 7.0 is now available!
Note: This initial post is now VERY out of date and will be corrected very soon. Screenshots are from old prior versions (2017/08/10)
Hello all,
This is the ongoing development thread for FX File Explorer. I greatly appreciate feature suggestions, bug reports, and general feedback!
FX intends to be an uncluttered, everyday-usable file manager for Android. The primary development goal has been to create the same level of usability, intuitiveness, and efficiency as that offered by the file manager on your desktop computer.
Local file management features of FX are free, including the root features, indexed search, cleaning tools, usage view, non-encrypted archive creation/extraction, the text editor, and all other viewers (e.g. script exec, binary viewer, image viewer). The network/cloud stuff and media-specific stuff (e.g. browsing music by album, editing playlists) is a paid add-on called "FX Plus".
The free version of FX is not a "Lite" version or some kind of watered-down demo. There is no advertising in FX. And there is no user-tracking, phoning home, or any other "doubleplusungood" stuff of any kind in FX.
FX Connect Demonstration
A demonstration of FX connect. Phones are paired together using NFC by opening FX and touching their backs together. Transfers take place over a high-speed Wi-Fi Direct connection.
Home Screen
The "Home Screen" appears when you first open FX. The idea of the home screen is that you create bookmarks to the folders you actually use, rather than milling through the garbage every app places in the root folder of your SD card.
One last note regarding the free-vs-plus stuff: The features shown in the "Media" and "Internet and Network" sections are part of the "FX Plus" add-on, while everything else is free. And another note: the home-screens below have every option turned on: you can use the "View" menu to customize what is shown.
The first image shows a default home screen.
The second image shows the home screen configured with a translucent dark theme and view mode set to "Icon". The translucent dark theme uses your default system wallpaper (or optionally an alternate wallpaper of your choosing).
{
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
.....
Directory Browsing
These screenshots show FX viewing a directory. The one on the left shows the Material Design Teal theme, the one on the right uses a translucent theme.
.....
Windows and Split View
FX supports multiple (unlimited) windows, with the ability to view one or two at a time.
The first screenshot shows the window menu, which is accessible by tapping the slide-out icon in the upper left corner or sliding your finger from the left edge of the screen to the right.
The second screenshot shows the split view mode. You can enter this mode from the window menu by tapping "Split View", or by dragging the path bar from the top of the screen downward.
.....
Root / Developer Features
FX supports root access. Root access requires an add-on, but the add-on is free.
Root access is kept entirely separate from normal file browsing, and can optionally be protected.
Developer features include:
Root access may be secured via PIN, Password, or Warning; secured access can be enabled for viewing or only for modifications
Remount filesystems as read/write or read-only
Disable System Apps
Root Usage View
Recursive Search
Modify permissions
Change Ownership/Group, with Android-based design (e.g. select an app-specific user by app name; see screenshot)
Symlink Creation (relative and absolute)
Shell Script Execution, with support for creating launcher shortcuts to execute scripts [NR]
Explore APK Contents [NR]
View Android Binary XML Files in Text Viewer [NR]
View any file in Binary Viewer [NR]
MD5/SHA1 Checksum and Composite Checksum Calculation/Comparison (checksum directory structures, optionally with UNIX permissions, [NR])
Items marked with [NR] do not require root, but may offer more functionality when root is available.
.....
.....
.....
Text Editor
FX includes a full-featured text editor. It can edit local text files, edit files as root, and edit files on remote hosts (with FX Plus add-on). Features include:
Undo/Redo with History (able to undo/redo multiple times)
Cut/Copy/Paste
Pinch-to-zoom font scaling
Proportional and fixed fonts, word wrap can be enabled/disabled
Optional shortcut bar can be enabled to provide arrow keys and fast access to undo/redo
Jump to line number, beginning/ending of file
Find text within documents
File browsing for Open/Save As
Enable/disable autocorrect
Multiple color schemes
Save/load files in different character sets
Plus Add-On
All features demonstrated above are entirely free. The Plus Add-On is the paid component of FX, and adds additional features:
Application management: browse user, system, or all installed apps
Browse installed apps by permission (e.g. find all apps which require GPS location or Internet access)
(Root Access Required) View /data usage by application, disable any application
AES-128/256 Zip Encryption/decryption; browse inside encrypted zip files/folders, view text files, images, audio and video files without ever writing decrypted version to media
Browse all Images, browse images by folder (e.g. Camera folders on different media/SD cards)
Browse camera Videos or all videos on device
Browse Music by Artist, Album, Playlist, or view all music
Browse ringtones, podcasts, notifications, and alarm sounds
Create playlists, add albums/tracks/artists/playlists to playlists, reorder playlists via drag-and-drop
Bluetooth FTP and Bluetooth Pairing within FX (pushing files via Bluetooth does NOT require FX Plus if your device supports it)
FX Plus adds support for the following network/cloud services:
SMB (Windows Networking), supports network browsing (SMB1 and SMB2)
FTP, including FTP-S and FTP-ES; browsing local network supported via mDNS
SSH, including public key, password, and interactive authentication; browsing local network supported via mDNS
WebDAV, including WebDAV over HTTPS; browsing local network supported via mDNS
Google Drive
Dropbox
Box
SugarSync
Microsoft OneDrive
OwnCloud (by creating a WebDAV connection)
Hi,
Great, great app. The curious thing with Android is that when you think "is there an app for that?", usually you stumble upon it the same day! Your app is great, fast and no-frills - I am amazed at the speed, even though both my internal and SD storage is full.
However, have you seen MIUI file manager? It also classifies apks, PDFs, and whatnot along with media. The only thing THAT is missing is SD card support for this classification, and the ability to show both storages as a whole.
I think this is where you can improve your app and make it (safely) the best file manager on Android - i.e. adding more file associations such as apks and pdfs etc. Keep improving it and someday we won't have to worry about where each file is lying.
Also the UI could use a little more polish.
Thanks for the app
Just installed, and actually very surprised! The app is fast! I mean, no lag at all, even with continuous reloading of picture previews ).
First thing I miss - editing files. Root Explorer provides simple text editor, which is quite handy. Next - changing permissions - I need it ). And executing .sh/.rc etc scripts.
And what about multiple selection, and actions on these, like move/copy/delete?
I liked your text viewer has font settings - it's amazing! Why not implement same feature for file lists? Coz I find titles bit bold, I want them lighter/smaller. Same sizing ability would be good for icons too. I don't like big icons.
Bookmarks. I need bookmarks for folders, so I can access them fast.
Otherwise it's good. I'll uninstall both RE and Estrongs once your app has features I listed ) Good job!
Very nice, fast, different look and feel app. Seems very promising.
I really like this.
Is there a way to select multiple files?
Thanks! Yes, multiple file selection is accomplished by a swipe gesture:
(the above is supposed to be an animated GIF image, if it's not showing, see the Youtube video at the top).
More info on selection can be found here: http://android.nextapp.com/site/fx/doc/basics
Thanks for suggestions, there is definitely more work to be done on the Linux/root/technical-user end of things, root access, remounting, chown and chmod being the most notable omissions.
I do want to add bookmarks, but it may be post 1.0. Not quite certain on the UI integration of these (have been thinking about a couple of different methods). One thing I think I want is the ability to add certain bookmarks directly to the home screen. As a for instance, I'd personally like /sdcard/Documents and maybe /sdcard/Download to be directly on my home screen. Too many top-level bookmarks would be quite annoying though, so likely will want two categories.
May wind up doing a mini text editor for root editing, but need to check if more powerful stuff like "Jota" support su as well.
Thanks again!
Thanks, I actually had not been previously exposed to MIUI, but after browsing YouTube a bit I see what you're talking about. I'm not certain how they're classifying the additional file categories beyond Music, Video, and Images. FX is using Android's MediaStore provider to do this. It may be that the underlying MIUI firmware has been modified to index the entirety of the filesystem, or it may be that the file manager itself is doing it (and possibly thus relying on itself being used for all modifications). Honeycomb appears to have added support for adding arbitrary files to the MediaStore but I've yet to play with it.
I do want to add the ability to place bookmarks on the FX home screen to provide immediate access to folders you use frequently (e.g. Downloads and Documents).
What phone are you using? On most phones the media indices do appear in a single database, the exception being HTC devices such as the Droid Incredible which has two completely independent databases, one for the SD card and the other for the internal user storage.
What aspects of the UI would you most like to see improved? That is, is it the actual interaction with the interface, the aesthetics (overall appearance, icons, gradients, etc), or UI performance? Are there places where you find it non-intuitive? Any suggestions appreciated!
Thanks again for the comments!
A quicker multiselect might well be possible to implement, i.e., start by dragging horizontally and then cross through any additional items you want selected. Beyond that though we're fairly booked up with single-finger gestures given that horizontal = select and vertical = scroll, both of which have to happen immediately. Could also look at vertical double-finger swiping for (de)selecting multiple items at once in list views.
Hope to have an update out in the next 24-48hr (edit: delayed a bit due to encrypted FTP fun and excitement), don't want to promise on that given that there's always bugs and testing...really don't like pushing updates unless I feel they're very solid. Have been focusing on network stuff in this next release, including FTPS support (implicit and explicit) and notification of SSH keys (and warnings for changed keys).
The next version will also be allowed to reside on the SD card, assuming it tests correctly there.
This wonderfull app will get a root option in the future? Like root explorer...I realy espect that...thank again for this app!!!!
[Free][App][2.3+] UNCOPT Holo File Browser w/ su, dual views
UNCOPT File Browser is the nicest and most innovative Holo styled file browser for Android with root capabilities.
It provides all the features needed to browse and organize your pictures, files, documents and videos. It gives you access to the internal storage, sd card, external usb storage devices, internal filesystem and more (with plugins) .
Unlike other available file browsers on the market, UNCOPT File Browser also offers unique features:
Resizable split view: a simple swipe will split the screen in two and give the user two independent browsable panels that can be resized at will. File managing becomes even easier and more efficient.
Efficient archive browsing (zip, tar): unlike other apps, the archive content is never extracted in a temporary folder (or even in memory). The specific parts that need to be accessed (to display or send them) are streamed on access.
Nested archives: unlike other apps, nested archive content can be listed and accessed. To the user there is no difference between a folder, an archive and a nested archive in terms of browsing. Archives can be nested in multiple levels.
Keyboard navigation: the keyboard navigation is fully functional.
Simple action bar navigation with interactive path.
Automatic sync with MediaStore (Gallery) and the MTP (Media Transfer Protocol) connection.
Complies completely with the Android Holo Style, even on Gingerbread.
On top of that you get all the usual features such as:
Browsing.
Copy/paste using official mechanism for compatibility with other apps.
Sort by file size, file name and modification date.
Create, delete, rename, send, bookmark files and folders.
Search.
Create zip files.
Shows thumbnails for APKs and images in gridview mode.
Multi file selection.
Local Network SMB protocol (windows shares), free plugin required.
Registers as a file picker so that other applications (such as gmail) can access the files too.
UNCOPT File Browser also provides tools for rooted devices:
Browse system files like any other (including system and user apps).
Change file permissions.
Automatically remount read-only filesystems as read-write.
suid/guid/sticky special permissions
Available on Google Play. Search for UNCOPT File Browser.
Tried it, looks really awesome, but won't test more, as one of the critical features I need (and probably many others) is Cloud support (Dropbox, Gdrive, etc.)
But it really has the best UI I saw in a file manager, very smooth, looks awesome even on my Optimus One's small screen
Edit: Like a post below me, I also hope you keep getting it better, it truly has HUGE potential (holo Solid Explorer)
It is on XDA Portal, so...
looks good,nice work
really an awesome looking app,great features too.
But there are some things i really miss right now or i would like to be changed maybe
-possbility to execute an apk(right now it just opens the content)
-drag and drop for files between the 2 tabs would be awesome
-maybe a possibilty to customize the view,like disable the file size part(because on a phone,even with 4,7" it takes up a lot of screen.
-sometimes it is a bit hard to hit the triangle for the menu of the file to show up
Edit
Just noticed I can hit the whole date/size space to open the file menu, nice
hope this amazing file explorer keeps updating,it really has a huge amount of potential :good:
Bought the full version just to support the developer. Keep it up, i love it!
Looks really good! Keep up the awesome work
Im liking the whole Holo look and how it works to browse files, but I can't install simple apks? It just views it as if it was a zip files. i can easily install apks on other file browsers except this one? Maybe it's just me but thought i'd share the problem im having.
finally found a simple yet powerful root file management app. Would be cool if there is an option to show the folder properties of the folder i.e. the amount of data inside the folder.
Love the App! Got the paid version.
As along with the rest, installing an APK is a mandatory must!
Am sure this will be in an updated version
Odd, I hate this feature on es, its the first thing I turn off. Many apps dont install with that. Why do you want it at all?
The file borwser looks great, thanks. The only thing is the icon, its not great
Looks good so far. But currently not usable for me. Some things are missing, like cloud. And if you press on pictures they don't open, you have to go through the context menu. Thats kinda annoying. And it laggs on Galaxy s3 (CM 10.1) while scrolling. But the idea is good, im looking forward to future versions of it. Thanks.
Ummmmm..... to sideload apks for testing Why "wouldn't" you want that feature?
You'll find there are other places to get apk's other than the Play Store. XDA for example. Other than tossing them in /system/app which is rather counter-productive, the only option is to install via FM.
Will give this ago ! Many thanks.
Thank You!
I think he misunderstood... ES has a feature to install apps without the package installer... it just installs in the background
Thank you all for your feedback.
We're working hard to add all the features you requested.
As for the apks, you can install them by clicking on the thumb (bottom right corner of the row/cell). It will bring up the dropdown menu. Click open and it should do the trick.
A lot of people are complaining about it (not only to install apks but also to open a file), we'll try to make it more obvious.
Thanks, don't forget to give us your feedback
Clearer UI, practical features
I've installed the App on my phone, here's my feedback:
1. UI
The new version does improve a lot in UI: the fresh color impresses me, comparing with ES, Solid, Astro's rigid layouts... I believe the fresh style suits me better.
2. Recycle Bin
The feature is pretty practical for Android file management. I sometimes remove files by mistake on my phone and cannot do anything to recover them. It makes me feel like I am using Windows laptop!
3. Safebox
An in-build file safebox will be easier to use when you organize files on the phone; you can copy or move them to Cloud or safebox, double insurance!
4. Suggestion
File category is more frequently-used than advanced features, I suggest you highlight this part instead of advanced features.
When I try to add account to Google Drive, the App is forced to close(My phone is Xiaomi 2S). Please fix it ASAP.
Thank you for such a good-looking and helpful App!
great app
Awesome feature's, but little laggy not that much smooth.. I am using mi3 . and add cleaner app inside like apk remover cache remover etc..
Ui is excellent ,but when we swipe upward then menu bar is hiding , please fix that
"all i can really do , is stay out of my own way and let the will of heaven be done"
I like the interface
Unlike grey, blue and other dark colors, File Expert takes a bold attempt in interface designing. Personally, I like the bright color blending.
As for the features, it meets my needs!
As for the features, it meets my needs! But when I copy files to Cloud, the speed is a little slow. Can you check it?
Unsmooth scroll!
Hi developer,
Here's my bug report:
1. The scroll is not smooth enough and the top bar will conceal when I swipe upward.
2. What's more, all operation seems slower than the previous, could it load faster?
Looking forward to your update!
[APP] zipNship - Share photos without loss of quality
This app allows you to compress files to decrease their size and in case of photos to send them from any app without loss of quality.
Unlike other apps that offer this functionality, zipNship does not need read and write storage permissions to create zip files. Does not require any permission at all.
You can get it from Play store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.easyjoin.zipnship
How it works
• Select one or more files using your favorite file manager, a gallery app and any other app you use to view and manage your files.
• Share the selected files and send them to "zipNship - Zip".
• Create a compressed file that contains all the selected files. Minimize the size of the data to be sent and in case of photographs maintain their quality.
• Share the zip file with any application, send it via email, message or save it in the cloud.
• You can share the zip file again or delete it to free up space on your storage.
Note that some files, such as jpg photographs, cannot be compressed much more than the original. In this case, putting them in a zip file guarantees that their quality will not be impacted by the program used to send them.
You can also unzip a file in a similar way. You will have to select the zip file and share it with "zipNship - Unzip". The first time you will need to select a folder and allow the application to unzip the file on it.
