@lj50036
You may want to update the twrp to the latest version, haha...:good: Done as your request.... Please do whatever you need to do to fit your needs. I just uploaded files for you and leave the rest for you to manage, haha...... Be careful what you wish for.....:silly:
Both files have been tested and worked. I also have WW bootloader version but I could not verify it with my US bootloader so I am not going to upload it unless some users or you request it...
Update: Please check the "signature verification" in your custom recovery to make sure that the zip file is not corrupted especially the bootloader flashable zip file or use md5 hash to verify the download. If you screw up your bootloader, it is a hardbrick and only NVFlash blobs can save your device, just a warning....:fingers-crossed:
Just install them in the custom recovery likes TWRP OR CWM, enjoy.....

The mouse may be convenient for very simple and non-repetitive actions. But as soon as you want to chain two or more actions together, or if you want to apply the same operation to multiple files, or if your action needs options, you lose - you can't script mouse clicks.
There's an error in the actual TWRP 2840 program on startup, it was in 2830 also.
E: unable to read files or storage folder types - something like that.
I'm back on 2810, which has been working fine.

After my thread for the TF101, here are my first repackaged OTA updates for the TF700:
First of all let me make this clear:
If you have root and want to keep it, use OTA Rootkeeper.
The original recovery is removed from the blob, so you won't lose your current recovery.
If after flashing one of these zips you still have the OTA update notification, do this:
Go to Settings -> Apps -> All and clear data from DMClient.
Current OTA 9.4.5.26:
US version:
us-9.4.5.22-to-9.4.5.26-TF700-CWM-v1.0.zip MD5: 2C6C763D0A7618E4AB4CB530D714F833
WW version:
ww-9.4.5.22-to-9.4.5.26-TF700-CWM-v1.0.zip MD5: E9597AD7C18483445A1F006D91A44C1B
IMPORTANT! If you deleted/changed some files, these updates will NOT work. These updates are meant for people on a stock rooted rom.
Sweet I know a few people were looking for a flashable OTA update.

AFAIK cwm zips are compatible with TWRP.
It's a generic name which is supported by most recoveries.
(TWRP or CWM) As far as we are able to unlock our TF700... That not my case...
But it's a good news for those who can
Lizard, a better title would be "[ROM][FLASHABLE]" or something. People tend to get very confused when you say "CWM" because they think no other recovery can flash it .

I've changed the title to flashable, since I don't consider the update zips to be roms. I hope this will take away some of the confusion.

You cannot downgrade from 9.4.5.30 to 9.4.5.26; the 9.4.5.30 bootloader and above accepts only signed bootloaders and the older ones are not signed.

You can no longer able to install nvflash once you already flashed above .26 version, like .30 and up. You're out of luck.

That sucks, I didn't flash .30, it came with it already installed. I'm used to flashing my phones, so it should be no problem flashing my tablet. Thank you very much for your help.
If you've flashed roms on other phones or tablets in the past then you should be fine. Just don't do anything crazy and you shouldn't brick it. I don't have NV Flash capabilities on mine, though I had the chance to but updated my bootloader anyway. Doesn't bother me as I'm not a dev and won't be doing anything crazy on mine. I've done plenty of flashing on many phones and the Asus Prime in the past, so I'm not worried about it

Just be careful to never choose "wipe data" in the bootloader menu without a working (compatible to bootloader) recovery, that is the #1 reason for hard bricks:

I had this too, when flashing with the 700 attached to a back USB port (which is the primary set, should be fine in tiself), but via an extension cable (apparently NOT OK). I really recommend playing around with your ports and cables -- it gained me my NvFlash blobs after an evening of hair-pulling.
What driver(s) shave you been using/trying?
Thank you.

I exchanged the tablet for a new one. I still think I could have brought it back from the dead. One of the questions I asked in another thread was "would it be possible to make a blob with my device specific code from a TWRP backup"? I also understand that nvflash can only be used with the 9.x.x.x bootloaders but those are not compatible with Jelly Bean 4.2. Kinda stinks since I would have liked to stayed on a 9.x.x.x bootloader but, AFAIK you have to update the bootloader to 10.x.x.x in order do install Jelly Bean.
I am only asking for the sake of knowledge as I am one who does not like not being able to solve a problem. Also maybe the infromation contained in a TWRP backup file does not go deep enough to rebuild a blob from it to restore your device?
Thanks for the help.

Not true. You can only create the blob file for wheelie with a hacked 9.4.5.30 bootloader, and to install that, you must be on a <= 9.4.5.26 bootloader. After you have this blob and the other backup files, you can upgrade to whatever bootloader you want and still use nvflash with your saved blob. Just don't ever lose it, it's your unique key to nvflash.
Brand new user here! So much info on this site; truly amazing
I have read so much, but still can't seem to figure out the best, error free method to root the TF700.
- New tablet that I bought 5 days ago.
I understand how to unlock as that's simple.
I understand I need to install TWRP.
After reading a website on androidcentral, I got the impression I need to start the Fastboot tool in Windows, and boot tablet into Fastboot mode, connect to PC...ect.
XDA forums suggests downgrading the firmware and using MOTOCHOPPER
Also, someone said to just install Scott's recovery install tool and rooting will be an option.
Any help would be great as I don't want to mess up my new toy!!!!!

Very understandable!
Downgrading to .8 and using Motochopper is useless by now. That was the easiest method to get TWRP on your tab. You would root and use GooManager to install TWRP. But Goo doesn't support flashing recoveries anymore - so root doesn't get you any closer to getting a custom recovery and a custom rom.
You have to use the fastboot method now (and need to be unlocked for that).
If you are new to this, you may want to read this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2277112
Scott's tool is a possibility but hasn't been updated or supported in quite a while. I would recommend the Minimal ADB Fastboot Tool:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Or you go for the whole enchilada and install the SDK Developer tool on your PC.
http://developer.android.com/sdk/installing/index.html
Which is kinda overkill if you don't want to develop stuff for Android. What you really need out of that package is the Platform Tools.
Either way - get the correct drivers installed on your PC and fastboot TWRP 2.6.1 or 2.6.3.1 (I prefer the earlier version) onto your tab.
Then flash away :cyclops:

While it is true that GooManager downloads no longer work, it is still possible to install a recovery from a rooted Android using dd to mmcblk0p4. But it is a good idea to do it via fastboot, just to learn how that works in case one really needs it.

No you put your TF700 into fast boot mode by booting into the bootloader by holding down power and Volume Down when powering on.
First make sure you have downloaded the correct TWRP recovery blob file for your device from the TeamWin webpage. Use their search to find and choose the blob image for JB4.2 for the TF700T.
Rename it to twrp.blob and put it into the same folder as the fast boot.exe file
Then with it connected to your PC via USB, open a command window in the fastboot.exe folder (shift, right click, open command window here) and type or paste the following one line at a time. Wait for each line to finish:
Code:
TWRP:
fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery twrp.blob
fastboot -i 0x0B05 reboot bootloader
When it reboots back into the bootloader pressing the volume down on ECK will now load TWRP
Hello
Think I understand most of this...
Do I need to do anything with USB debug?
When I open command window, due I include TWRP: in each line, or is that not needed?
And what is volume down on ECK?
Sorry If I sound like an idiot; this is all new to me.
Thank you so much!

Omit the TWRP ahead of the fastboot command. I think sbdags meant to write that outside of the code marks.
He's a busy man....
ECK is a typo. Supposed to be RCK, the icon for your recovery in the bootloader menu. And you have to push Volume UP on the flashing icon to enter it. Volume Down let's you cycle through the icons.

When you have your system up and running the way you want, go back to your TWRP and do a nandroid backup. After the backup, you can disable your Fsync. The worse case is to restore your back or reinstall your rom but you will enjoy your tablet more with Fsync off...
Hey guys, posted in a few threads but starting a separate thread to keep my issues out of them.
Anyways, my tablet is out up date and I havent kept up to speed on the last 2 years worth of developments. So im looking to upgrade my rooted and unlocked tablet on 4.1 to the 5.0 rom. My twrp version is 2.3.3.0.
How would i go about updating to a 4.4/5.0 compatible bootloader and recovery?
Ive been advised to update the bootloader, but should i flash the boot before the updated twrp or the other way around? While we're at it, I've noticed the nvflash tools. I'm assuming doing the nvflash stuff would help me recover from any possible bricks?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks for following me around my 3 posts, lol.
Quick questions:
1. Should I flash the bootloader BEFORE flashing the updated TWRP? Or does the new TWRP get flashed before the bootloader.
2. When I flash the new bootloader, will i still be able to run 4.1 on the tablet (i.e. is the new bootloader backwords compatible?)
3. Will the NVFLASH stuff help me in the event that I do mess something up? Seems like it supposed to be a brick-proof safety net in case something goes wrong.
thanks for the help man!

Thanks Josh, I think I know what to do now:
Step 1: Set up NVFLASH and get my backup files.
Step 2: Flash the 27.5 Bootloader using fastboot.
Step 3: Flash TWRP openrecovery-twrp-2.8.1.0-tf300t.blob
Step 4: Wipe system/cache, etc
Step 5: Flash Katkiss 5.0
Is this correct? Am i missing any steps in there?
Looks like you're not on hangouts right now, shoot me a message if we can chat. [email protected]
So, Josh TOTALLY hooked me up on this issue. Not only offer his help, he actually walked me through the entire process watching my screen through screenshare. I'm now up and running on Kitkass 5.0.... sweet sweet lollipop goodness.
Not sure how to edit the title to solved, but maybe a mod could do that?

I strongly recommend installation using the fastboot method, as the apps are reported to work poorly or not at all.
TWRP 2.8.5.0 Won't Boot
I just installed TWRP 2.8.5.0 on my TF700T via the fastboot method (since TWRP Manager fails to install it). However, when I attempt to boot the recovery, the device locks up. This is different behavior than 2.8.4.0, which had a kernel panic and rebooted the device. Any idea how to go about debugging, or should I simply try older recoveries / wait until a newer one comes out?

My self-built one works fine. Can anyone else reproduce this problem with TWRP 2.8.5?

Naturally, the dd method is the one method I didn't try. So I just did, and it works now. I did have to perform a normal reboot to complete the installation (as opposed to rebooting directly into recovery), but the instructions mentioned that (although they didn't specify that the reboot needed to be a normal one). So all is well now, and I can move on to installing ZOMBi-Pop, my main goal all along.
Makes me wonder why TWRP and fastboot failed, but oh well.

These methods also require reboot to system not to recovery.

I can believe that for fastboot, but TWRP Manager claimed that the flashing failed. On my OnePlus One, TWRP Manager flashed the recovery just fine. Is the claimed failure just a caveat of flashing on the TF700T, and the new recovery will actually work despite it if you perform a system reboot afterwards? I think I'll try that next when the next version comes out, just to see.

Did you try to flash the twrp.blob in recovery?
That won't work unless you put the blob into a flashable zip.
Oh, re-reading your post you probably mean it failed in TWRP Manager. You take your chances with these apps. Don't use them...

You're right, I meant TWRP Manager. Thanks for pointing that out, I edited the previous post to reflect that.

That bricked my first tf300t!
Repeat:
Don't ever use TWRP Manager or Goo Manager for flashing recovery.

add Flashify to the list. Or make that: apps in general
Fastboot or dd command is the way to go
Never mind, thanks

USB OTG not working on htc one m7
USB keyboards not work on htc one m7 that support USB host mode via a USB OTG cable noooooooot work
openrecovery-twrp-2.8.5.0-m7.img
Can anyone turn this into a zip for me?
TLR - I think if I can get a zip of the latest TWRP I can get myself out of a nasty bootloop
I seem to have gone and bricked my Infinity while under the influence...
Installed new rom.
Decided to factory reset.
During format there was an error, and E: data no longer mountable (didn't realize this at the time)
Bootloop
Read some things online and thought maybe I didn't have the right TWRP
Installed a new recovery that was "compatible" with the rom I was installing
It was Philz cwm (freaked out)
Read a post that said I could force the tablet to re-format the :data partition from TWRP by using the terminal command "mke2fs -T ext4 /dev/block/mmcblk0p8" BUT can't run a terminal command from cwm
Can't find a way to enter fastboot to put twrp back onto transformer (No option for usb)

Thanks _that! I actually used a flashable version of your twrp recovery (2.6.3 maybe?) that I found, followed the plan I outlined above, and all is now well.
Where to get TWRP 2.8.6.0 for TF700T
Does anyone know where a TWRP 2.8.6.0 .img for the TF700T can be found? It's not available on the official website (actually, NOTHING for the TF700T is available on the offcial website).
Alternatively, does anyone know where a patched version of 2.8.50 that supports f2fs can be found? Or should I revert to 2.8.4.0?
Eh, maybe I'll just build 2.8.6.0 myself. How hard can it be?
Slightly harder than finding the Kang TWRP 2.8.6 by lj in the dev section I would think....
