[Q] Random call dropping?

Hi guys,
Right, so I've noticed that when making calls with the Sensation, if they are reaching the 10 minute mark, for absolutely no reason whatsoever the line will just go silent, before the call is dropped. The signal bar doesn't even change.
Has anyone else had this issue?
Cheers,
James
My phone also has dropped calls randomly but on random times I'm sure. Today it did it as well. I don't know why though. I hope to God its not a fault in the phone that can't be fixed with an update. I'd hate switching to s-on and stock recovery.

random call dropping
Hi,
A complete n00b when it comes to Android and first post on this forum. Kindly excuse any inadvertant mistakes.
Thanks to the wonderful forum we have here, I managed to root and get the IC 2.5.3 ROM on my Sensation. And its working like a dream except for one small problem. Big problem really.
Calls keeps dropping, and there have been occassions where I was getting disconnected every 10 seconds. Patterns I noticed :-
1. Voice suddently drops. The call is still on and in about 3-5 seconds call gets disconnected.
2. This happens only in a wi-fi zone (mostly at home). When I am in a wi-fi off zone, this has never happened.
3. This was happening even BEFORE I flashed the custom ROM, (was hoping that the problem would be resolved), but no luck)
4. I suspect its because of an incompatible radio image in my country (India), but what do I know. Could a 4G enabled handset encounter such problems on a 3G network?
5. How can I get to know the best/most compatible radio image for my ROM . ( I searched, but nothing conclusive so far anywhere. I am not able to post in the developer thread because I am newbie )
Please help.

[Q] ics 4.0.4 stock ROM wifi stops working

On my completely stock xoom, running the latest build, the wifi stops working after a time (not *sure* how long, but let's say an hour or two). After the wifi has stopped, the tablet will not locate any network (AP) nor will it detect them on the wifi analizer app, with shows all the networks in range and their channels and strengths. The app shows no network activity, which I know to be incorrect. However, after I reboot, all is well... until it fails again. When 8t fails, also, turni g the wifi off and back on again does not fix the wifi (that being a solution I found on other tablets running ICS... any ideas what this can be? Thanks in advance!

Man, if you are rooted, then I can help you better. With stock, it is very limited control that you have over your device. It is easy to root and install custom ROM that will fix most of your problems.
I was actually hoping for a solution that did not involve rooting
I was actually hoping for a solution that did not involve rooting the device. The tablet just came back from Motorola after being repaired for a defective screen. I was thinking that there may be a software problem in the build installed. If this is not a problem that is common on this device, then perhaps there may be a hardware problem, although it does not seem to act that way. . .
Can you do a factory reset?

Yes, that was one of the first things I tried, as that is also the first thing customer support tells you to do. I honestly think that is the only tool they have to use.....
Perhaps its hardware related then. If you aren't rooted then send it back to Motorola.

[Q] Jelly Bean Wifi Problems TF300

Hey XDA, I've lurked around here for awhile, and you guys have usually solved my problems without me having to post a thread.
This is my first thread post asking for help, so hopefully you guys can help me.
I have a TF300, running JB, unrooted. I am at college, on a WPA2 Enterprise network, using PEAP and MSCHAPV2.
Problem is, the Wifi is incredibly intermittent. Sometimes it will work just wonderfully, and sometimes it will take multiple resets just to connect to the network. Sometimes, the tablet will say that it is connected, and load one page or two, then begin to timeout, still saying it is connected.
I understand that on a WiFi network, signal loss occurs. But, this is happening in the same spot, and sometimes it is so bad that I just give up and stop using my tablet.
Hopefully you guys can pull something through. I love this tab and don't want to sell it.

[Q] Strange wifi problems

Hi people of xda, in the past few days the wifi on my g2x is acting weird, It says that is is connected properly, but even if I'm in the same room with my router I have issues like: it still says connected but I got no signal to browse. data sync does't work, even when theres signal it lags and slowdowns a lot, especially during some online games where wifi is very needed.
At first thought it was my connection, but after testing in other one it had the same problems and other phones worked perfectly.
Currently I'm running SINGH-UI with trinity T15 kernel.
Can anyone shed me a light on this? tryed searching the forum with no luck.
Thanks in advance and sorry if it has been asked before.
Obs: sorry for my bad english, its not my main language.

[Q] Slow WiFi activation since update to Lollipop 5.0.2

Hi,
ever since I updated to Lollipop 5.0.2, activating WiFi takes a lot longer than it used to on KitKat. I usually switch off WiFi.
On KitKat, after tapping the WiFi icon it usually took no more than 2-3 seconds for the device to activate WiFi, find my network and get connection.
Now, on Lollipop 5.0.2, it never takes under 8 seconds, often even longer.
How can this be? How can they mess up this apparently simple act and make it so much worse than it was before?
I bought my Moto G in early 2013 (in Germany). It is rooted but I don't think I have done anything special to it. For this last update from KitKat to Lollipo I could not use OTA, though, and the only way to make it work was to install the Brazilian stock ROM (could not find a proper European one). Systemversion says 220.21.28.falcon_umts.Brasi.en.BR
Is the Brazilian ROM the cause of this problem?
Either way: How can I fix this?
I also have that problem.
Getting it connected on University takes like 15 seconds. 8 to turn Wi-Fi on and the rest to actually get connected to it.
Turning of the Wi-Fi is a lot slower than it was before.

Do you also have the Brazilian ROM?
Nope, stock EU 5.0.2 over here.
Too bad I don't know anyone else with the same phone 'cause I would like to check if the problem's on my phone or if it happens with everyone.
It's also kind of a bummer that no one else posts here...
