Hi
why don't you use the forgot pin option
enter wrong pin for around 10-15 times and you will see the option 'forgot pin'
then login with your Gmail account and your phone will be unlocked.
good luck
and hit thanks

Exactly, that is must when FP is set up. If you forgot the password, then no help.

No.
It's not even possible to "forget" to set a separate password since it's a must if you setup fingerprint unlocking.
It's NECESSARY.
Otherwise you can't choose unlocking with fingerprint method. (Tried it by myself to be sure)

I mean, if he forgot that password, then he is in trouble. I said that the setup of that password is a must

How is that possible? You need to enter it twice to confirm.
On the other hand, this is a reason for security lock - if it can be bypassed easily, then what's the point of it?
You can still root, play around with the system
What about doing a factory reset?
Boot into download mode, Odin TWRP.
Boot into TWRP, only wipe system.
Reboot, wait 10-15 minutes, redo the setup.

The last time I checked the settings and fingerprints are located on /data, not system. But give it a try.

Whoops, forgot about /data. Perhaps he should flash Philz after TWRP, and then wipe /system and /data after making a nandroid.

Bypass Lockscreen

My friend uses Honor 6X. He is on stock Nougat ROM. He is no more now. Is there a way to bypass his phone's Lockscreen without losing data so we could get to know some details we need?
*And his phone's bootloader is Locked.
*No way to enable developer options.
*Can i boot into fastboot mode and using adb commands can i boot via TWRP temporarily?
Since the bootloader is locked, the only thing he can do is factory reset.
Don't forget to remember which Google account he used, as it will be required after the factory reset

TWRP Decryption password after 2/2018 update

I'm on a Pixel 2 and I sideloaded the February 2018 security update. I tried to install Magisk again by using "fastboot boot twrp-image.img". I've tried all the versions of TWRP available on their site (twrp.me)
I get into TWRP and enter in my pin to decrypt the phone, which I've always used. TWRP says incorrect password. This is the first time I've ever gotten this.
Anybody else having the same issue, or tips to fix? Thanks!
Yes, it's been mentioned a few times. Simply remove the password lock from your phone before booting into recovery, then add your password back after you're done flashing.

Thank you for this. I did quite a bit of searching last night and this morning but couldn't find anything on it. This makes sense and I'll give a try when I get home.

I removed the pin and when I went to fastboot boot twrp.img, it went right through without prompting for a password in TWRP.
You may need to reboot first, after the pin removal

The problem of not opening the lock screen

Hi,
I flashed my phone pie J400f U6 and noticed that my phone when I put a screen lock does not open the lock after turning off the screen even though I put the correct pattern says the pattern is incorrect I tried more than once and is still on the lock screen Is there a solution to the problem
Is your phone encrypted ? It could be because of that.

Try to flash the rom again and let it encrypt the device. I suppose you manually prevented it from encryption.
