In the brightness section when you have auto-brightness enabled, you can still adjust the bar higher or lower.

This is not true for everyone.
In my case just touching the bar disables auto brightness.

The good news on this, mine was this way running ICS. But I am now able to adjust when on auto since I upgraded to JB.
Ok there is a way you can adjust auto brightness even on ICS you cannot do it from the status bar, go to settings - display - Brightness then you select auto brightness once you do that you get a slider with auto brighness adjustment, use that to adjust it.
THough it does not do much

With my device, touch inputs are not processed as soon as the pen comes into detection range of the digitizer.
I enabled airview and the pen indicator and as soon as this is visible, touch inputs are ignored.
Has anyone already tried something to ADJUST BRIGHTNESS/CHANGE COLOR of the illumination bar (the light beneath the home key) when unlocking the Miro?
Yes, I've already used the Xperia illumination app but it doesn't actually disable the unlock light..
I also managed to disable the lights by freezing the system app but it's still fun to have the lights.. tsk
TIA!

fail. it just turns out it that the Illumination Bar app for Xperias works far better than that with customizations.
what we're looking for its an app that can modify the light presets like, for example, when unlocking an Xperia Miro, the illumination bar below the Home button lights up blue..
so we need to change to change that brightness and color. thanks

Does MX shows the change in displsy. But doesn't change the brightness actually...?
Or It doesn't show anything?
Hello,
It shows the changes in display, the percentage, but the brightness doesn't change.
I turn off the auto brightness in the notification bar, but it still doesn't work in mx player.
Thanks

Auto brightness is not an issue.
By default android use the brightness settings from top most app. When some other app runs invisibly on top android will follow the brightness values from that app.
It might be a floating widget/window or battery/brightness optimizer or anything else. Kindly disable them & check it again.

Title says it all really. Any un-rooted tools or adb commands that will remove the brightness slider from my notification list?
Note: Already made it so the brightness is only there with a full open of the notification draw.
Try this application, i thought it had a function to disable the stock slider.

You can use substratum and system mods.
Why dun you just click the right side arrow and disable it easily?
The arrow doesn't let me disable the brightness slider.
Just upgraded to Android 10 on my OP7P US unlocked edition. Anyone know how to change the clock on the ambient display? Right now it shows an analog clock and I'd rather have it show a digital clock. Thanks.
go into settings then type "customisation" then you can see your lock screen customization options.

Hate the stacked digital clock
Where is the regular looking digital clock from 6T. I hate the stacked digital clock.
