Reserrection Remix 1.8.1 and below
Just install whatever Remix AOKP based rom(1.4 up, not sure about the rest then install remixicstablethack.zip over it.
A few programs say system ui crashes but the apps stay open
1. If coming from a different ROM always- Full Wipe- Wipe Factory Data - STEP 3
2. If coming from a previous Version Of Remix from 1.4+ (only tested), - STEP 3
3. Install Main Rom (latest is 1.8.1)
4. Wipe Cache
5. Wipe Dalvik Cache
6. Reboot
7. Reboot to Recovery
8. Install Tablet-Ui mod For Remix ics.zip
9. Fix Permissions
10. Reboot
Q: My soft-buttons are crammed together.. How can I get a normal distance between them?
A: Try this :
- Hold your phone in landscape.
- Go into Rom Control > Navigation bar
- Set a custom icon picture for at least the first softkey
- Navigation button quantity > change it to 1
- Navigation button quantity > change it to desired value and the distance will be 'normal' in both landscape and portrait

Weather Panel Not Showing In Notifications Bar If Set to below Weather Panel- Fix is Dont Set It There set it to Above Carrier Text Or Disabled
You can also install Fancy Widgets which has an option to put a panel in in bar.
Also Weather Sometimes FC's on "Get Weather" click- No Fix
Clock Doesnt Show when set to centreclock-Fix is dont set it there set it to "Right Clock" or "No Clock"

Navigation Bar Goes Small Whenever Options Appear in Bar-No Fix

Most apps will Force Close if that are not compatible with Tablets/ Tablet Mode!
Also it seems like the play store prefers 120dpi to 128dpi- lots of incompatible with your device on 128dpi

Any AOKP based rom, fixed the op thankyou it was like 4.00am, sorry
and i dont know about any other phones you would have to figure that out yourself just make a backup then try it post back here so i can add it to tested
it says it should work on all legacy devices but i dont know what they are it just listed the s2 as an example (i was wrapped) device

you will get an answer pretty quick, and no about the samsung gallery that is from an ASOP ROM, 1.4+ is built on AOKP, so the apps dont work unless they have been ported- GENERALLY

App drawer in portrait
How do i go to the App Drawer in portrait mode? There is app drawer icon in portrait, theres onky one in landscape.

I flashed the tablet ui mode on RR 1.8.1 and everything was working fine initially. But after sometime all my market apps habe disappeared. I understand that this is due to the change in dpi. Is there a solution to this?

you have to enable the persistent search bar for portrait, i would be set on landscape only

someone else had that problem ill see if i can find it, i havent had that issue.
what process did you go though install the rom, upgrade from which or fresh install-full wipe???

i had to go back to 240dpi to download apps that said they were incompatible, if that's it then no there isn't a fix im pretty sure that is app related being the app doesn't have support for tablets you would have to message the developer!

sometimes while downloading any apps from the market i get the error "package file not signed correctly!"
itz pretty frustrating when are not able to download sum basic apps like gmail etc..
plus it getz hangd often too....any workaround guyz

This must be problem with system apps only. User apps will not give u this problem.

well e1 othr apps gave that probz...i wasnt able to download opera evn aftr retrying it for abt 4-5 times..

delete it via root explorer and then instal it via market...it may work!

In the menu is an app for customizing the items shown in the status bar, so you can remove the flashlight and other unusefull things

The flashlight option turns on the screen brightness to max n makes the screen white....
It's pretty handy when u r in dark...

And the themes are not working, it doesn't change even after applying.
EDIT: Found the fix for the themes. Just create a "theme" folder under data/system using root explorer. As for the keyboard issue, I just installed a keyboard app from my sdcard and use that.

i forgort that the reason it does not create that is the updater script i had to remove it kept saying writing to ~/data and it would fail

cool

Add a keyboard to the new version whenever you update and take one of the launchers out. Other than that, I love it.
Torch FCs constantly, if you use the toggle for it, it breaks lockscreen due to constant FC and flashlight lockscreen.

Wifi and battery is fine for me.

everything seems to work fine... just a few things that are buggy
camera works but front face cam picture is upside down and don't fill the entire screen
sometimes when I try to use setting of some apps i can't see the words because it clashes with the dark background
other than that this is a solid rom Good Job :good:

You Can Even Disable The App Instead of Uninstalling by Switching the sevices off in settings->accessibility

Nova Launcher problem

For some stupid reason I am getting 2 chrome app icons in app drawer. I have tried clearing data and uninstalling reinstalling both nova launcher and chrome ( updates ).
But still this problem presists. Moreover in Funtouch OS , there is only one chrome app. In app clone option also chrome is not visible.
When I try to hide it in Nova launcher settings ,both Chrome main app as well as Chrome 2nd app disappears.
And in settings->more settings->Applications there is no Chrome app to unistall.
Please help.

If you long-press on the "Chrome2nd" icon,do you not see the option to remove/uninstall it?

I have same versions. Can you try to uninstall Chrome's update? Also clear the data for chrome.

If I long press app info icon , nothing happens. If I touch/click it once it takes me to the app setting screen shown in above 1st screenshot.

Wow,that sux,maybe try this:
Go ahead & uninstall updates,then disable the Chrome app.
Afterwards,side-load Chrome from APK Mirror (Perfectly safe,the folks @ Android Police run/own the site):

There is no option to disable it after uninstalling update

Running out of suggestions here,this sux,even if a minor bug at most,still would be nice to figure out the cause...
Perhaps there's a bug in that version of Chrome,I'm running version 67.0.3396.87
Have you tried side-loading the version I linked?
If so,anything different?

Atlast I factory reset my Nex. And now its normal.

Remove Chrome 2nd icon from nova launcher
If you are facing problem in nova launcher with chrome 2nd icon, try the following steps. It may be helpful ,I tried on my vivo v9 device.
Steps -
open nova setting
>advanced
>restart nova launcher .
Icon will be removed.
