CM/Liquidsmooth/Paranoid let's you do swipe up to wake up, but it doesn't unlock, like Sense and GPE does.
Is there a way to do this? I'm expecting it'll be a kernel.
Just let me tell you that I comming from N5 and no, no way to do that yet ElementalX and Briked Kernel were one of the creator of that on AOSP and so far only double tap to wake and swipe to wake options nothing else.

Is there a way to bypass the swipe up lock screen after initially turning the screen on and going directly to the pattern lock screen? Annoying to have to unlock twice. Automatically did this when enabling pattern lock on my previous phone.
Any apps for this?

if you disable the sense lock screen you will have my problem... where there is still a 'slide to unlock' screen to which you cannot get rid of either... you can try a program 'antilock' and set it to skip the lock screen... but it kind of swipes the screen for you and you still see the screen then it dissappears
painful i know but this kind of just how it is
As above there isn't much you can do about it with the stock sense rom. Sense just isn't designed that way. Rejoicing the sense lock screen replaces it with the aosp one and also breaks the alarm clock.
On the other hand Cyanogenmod lets you disable the lock screen when pattern lock is enabled and many other lock screen customizations. If you aren't into rooting your phone its not really an answer though.

Thanks guys. I am rooted, but no mods for this yet...
I too would like to remove lock screen so it can go straight to lock pattern. if you remove htclockscreen.apk you cant see who is calling you until you unlock screen. I think I read somewhere its because there no aosp roms out there for the sensation yet.
cant wait for cm on sensation...

Look in the edit build promp thread in dev section set the associated press menu to unlock string to true ans reboot.. Then just press the menu button which will rid the slide to unlock page almost instantly thereby allowing for faster access... I find it the best work around for now

I would have posted this in that one help thread for pyroice, but it's about a month since anyone used it...
I just have a quick question. Since i believe 1.1.1 or 1.1.2 when i press the back button to wake it up, it now goes straight to the pattern unlock.
This used to happen with the menu button wake, and back would go to the slide to camera or pattern. Basically, now i don't have that basic lockscreen at all, whichever way i wake up the device.
any thoughts?
thanks!

Its just how it is. Menu/Back is a instant unlock. Using Menu when the phone is locked unlocks it(If screens on). I belive using the Lock Button will unlock to the Ring. But basic lockscreen is lost when using any protection. Just how ICS is.
It's Always Sunny in XDA
That's how Android has always been.

Interesting... i just could have sworn that back in an earlier version of 1.1 i could press the back button, then slide and it would ask me for my pattern. regardless, thank you!

The menu button unlock was taken out in 113 on purpose. Phone would unlock in your pocket.
I flashed the Venom ROM. Ever since then I cannot use the lock screen shortcut to the camera. I.E. holding the phone horizontally and pressing the volume button.
I have enabled all the other gestures that I want, like swipe up and down but I cant find out how to get the camera back.
Anyone else have this issue? any solution?
Second this.
It stopped working a few days after I got the phone and I'm still on the stock rom.
This started even before I rooted/S-Offed/added custom recovery to the phone.
I'm running ViperOne & it works fine for me.
I figured it out. I needed to have the AOSP lock screen.

Never mind I lost my swipe gestures when I go to aosp. when I swipe the screen vibrates but nothing happens.
Just a request for slide2wake/sweep2sleep capabilities in a kernel?
Personally I liked that more than dt2w. I understand that LG introduced double tap 2 wake, and then everyone jumped on that ship, but what's wrong with the old slide2wake/sweep2sleep gestures? Just fumbling with your phone, its very easy to touch the screen twice by accident and wake the phone up.

It's very plausible for this device, I think. The space between the three off-screen buttons is all touch sensitive. To test it out, enable double tap to wake, and tap in-between the buttons, not on them. The phone will still turn on.

Yes, I would love to see this. Coming from a HTC One X, the feature was great. I really missed this feature.
I'm coming from a Nexus 5 with Elemental X's kernel and I'm surprised the Oneplus One doesn't have simple swipe gestures and the sweep to sleep across the onscreen nav bar gesture
Hi guys, been checking the development forums and looks like there is not yet a custom rom based in stock android L images.
I just need volume rocker wake, i am afraid of damaging my power button (i use it to much to turn on and off the screen). Happened already to my with older phone.
Is there a way to atleast archieve that for now??
Thanks
Anyone?
well, most developers do not make roms from the stock img. most developers use the code from aosp. stock and aosp differ. but yea, most future roms are just basic lollipop at the moment.
Thanks for your answer, I just need an option to turn the screen on using the volume buttons
youll probably have to wait a week, 10 days max. i know rastapop(was rastakat) will include it in its next update.
maybe it's possible to gain "volume rocker wake" using some custom kernel?
As far as I know such an option cannot be added using a custom kernel, only option is double tap to wake which serves my purpose but drains battery (too much for me).
Best regards.
