Boot into the bootloader. From there you can go into recovery or use fastboot to fix any problems. When the tablet is off hold vol - and just press power and let off before the screen come on. Keep vol - held the entire time.
What dpi did you change it too?
You should use the wm command from a console instead like this:
Code:
wm density 200
wm size 1600x1000
the density should be calculated from the horizontal res / 8
so 1920x1200 has a dpi of 240 although 224 and 213 work nicely as well. The above example uses 200 and also drops the res (other wise fonts and icons start getting too small)
I.e., set the corresponding resolution as well if you need to.
to reset:
Code:
wm density reset
wm size reset
You will need to be root (use su) to use this.

Hi guys, today my OnePlus broke, i think.
20 Minutes ago i was still using it normal.
Then, i turn the screen on and see this:
http://imgur.com/GP2563K
as you can see in the below video, the phone is completely operational, i can use whatsapp web from my pc and the colors of the stripes change according to what should be on the screen:
http://youtu.be/QlO-ttkmVms
i suspect that the gpu has a defect or maybe the connection to screen got loose, even though i did not drop the phone before this started.
the same thing is seen while booting and in the recovery, so it is not a problem with the os itself. what i need to know now, is:
-pictures of cwm so i can go to the backup menu and put a system backup on my pc and then wipe,
-how do i start an rma on the oneplus site? also i have rooted and unlocked the phone, how is one plus going to determine if that caused the error or not? (i know that is not the cause, but i want to be certain that i wont get denied my warranty)
-also if oneplus will send me a new phone, can i ask them to send one with the old backcover? i dont like the covers without the cyngn logo.
UPDATE: via https://code.google.com/p/androidscreencast/ i managed to start chromecast screenshare and now i can see the screen on tv. the image on tv and pc looks normal so maybe the screen is broken?
Hope you can get it fixed

Try to going to fastboot (i know you see nothing but try it) and flash clean cm11s and then reboot the phone .....
Hope its not on HW ...
Strange...I heard about people who had problems with a green line which appeared random at the right / left side of the screen when they simply turned it on and that problem was something related to pixels and they solved it by playing a video (like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VN-KIlsxxOw ) for many hours. Try it and if this doesn't work then the only solution remaining before sending it to repair is a complete fastboot reflash of stock cm11s.
flash philz touch recovery which can be used with hardware buttons and to perform a backup do this:
1) press 3 times the back volume button (the button used to lower the volume when listening to music for example)
2) press home button (the soft-touch home button)
3) press again home button.
The recovery will start performig a backup...the phone will vibrate for 1-2 seconds when it will be done and it should last max 2 min (don't worry you will notice it). Anyway, since the philz touch recovery is cwm-based it could be that the buttons to press are the same for the original cwm recovery but it's a bit risky...
Now turn off the phone (keep the power button pressed for 10 seconds) then boot it again and plug it to to pc and you can find your backup files on the clockwormod folder.
Now you can perform the complete fastboot reflash. Good luck.
Greetings,
I have an issue with a tablet (Azpen A745) which never booted properly again after an AC power failure. The specs for this tablet are as follows:
Model: Azpen A745CPU
Brand: AllwinnerCPU
Speed: 1.3GHz
CPU Type: A33CPU
Core: Quad-Core
Operating System: Android 4.4 Kit Kat
Memory Type: DDR2
Total Memory: 512MB
Capacity Flash Memory: 4GB
Display: 800x480
Display Size: 7"
A little more detail about the symptoms. I only used this tablet as an instrument tuner which was on full time in my recording studio and was always loaded so anytime I needed to tune any instrument, it was ready to go. When I came back into the studio after the power outage, I noticed it was stuck on the logo screen. So I attempted a long power press to reboot. It did after about 5 seconds and just went back into the Azpen boot logo. I then realized, once I tried to power it off, it wasn't possible to power off because if I long-press the power button, once it powers off, no matter what I do it powers right back on and is stuck at the logo again. I've also watched videos on how to get it to boot into recovery and all I get is stuck at the boot logo again, nothing more.
I then connected it to my PC so see if it was able to be detected and it comes up in device manager as "USB Developer" under Other devices - so something is detected, just not the correct hardware apparently. I've tried numerous USB drivers to see if I can get it recognized in ADB, no luck. ADB doesn't see it.
I've searched high and low for anything regarding this particular tablet, and can't find anything anywhere except a few videos on how to boot into recovery which does not work. Everything I've read keeps saying I need to go into system settings and enable/disable developer options but as I said, I can't get it to boot into Kit-Kat. I'm stumped.
I'd really just like to get it back up and going so I can use the tuner app again and if possible, not have to replace it. Wondering if anyone can point me in the right direction to get this thing into recovery mode if possible Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
i enabled developer option then i changed the dpi from 392 to 900 just to see what happen but after that phone screen turned black
nothring is showing up then i long pressed the power key to reboot my device then that screen appear but the icons are very small .i cant access my smatrphone to adjust the dpi back to normal please help
EDIT: Managed to get into the phone using adb and the shell command "locksettings clear --old xxxx".
Then connected a mouse using OTG adapter to turn off Second Screen app, another reboot and it's back
EDIT 2: Noticed that secondscreen didn't restore it do the DPI that I used to have, which is not much of a problem, but it also locked the screen refresh rate to 60 Hz regardless of if it's in battery saving mode or not. I really like 90Hz, so any ideas on how to get that back?
Hi, I just wanted to try out my new HDMI adapter and the desktop mode of my OnePlus 7 pro. I enabled dekstop mode and installed the app Second Screen and elevated privileges using adb.
Connected the phone to the monitor, which worked very well. Then wanted to see if SecondScreen could enhance the experience. Changed some settings, including locking apps in landscape. Then rebooted as requested.
Upon reboot, also the enter pincode screen is in landscape, and it doesn't react to touch input. So I cannot unlock the device and get into any apps.
My question is, how to undo the changes made by SecondScreen? At least the ones pertaining to landscape mode, so that I can enter the device and undo all changes. I have a hunch they won't go away simply by force removing the app using adb ..
Very grateful for any help, as I can't use my phone.
