[Completed] Intel Z2520 Android 4.4.2 tablet how to root - XDA Assist

I have bought an Utok i700 Tablet
SOC : Intel atom z2520 , cloverview+ ,
android : 4.4.2 , kernel : 3.10.20 Jul 4 2014 android codename : kot49h IFWI version : F9.F8
Bugs 8219321 , 9695860 , 10148349 are patched out of box (it came with 4.4.2 already) , only bug 13678484 (fakeid) is vulnerable .
I have tried every method to root it , towelroot (all codes tried) doesn't work , pie root doesn't work and towelpieroot doesn't work either.
I even tried cydia impactor and obviously it didn't work .
is there any root exploit that uses the fakeID bug ? Or something working on those intel socs ?
I also tried making the boot.img insecure (I can flash with fastboot) but id doesn't extract right . I can attach boot.img if anyone can make it insecure.
PS:I tried every root from all other intel SOC devices (zenfones , teclast tablets and other chiese tablets and intel socs)
This is the first time since I have android devices and spend 30+ hours trying to root but didn't work anything out. Any help will be appreciated!

As I can't find a working rooting method for your device either on xda, you may post your question in the Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting forum.
Seems to be the best place to ask for IMO.
Here are some threads about general / universal rooting ... maybe one of them work on your device too:
1. Android Development and Hacking > Miscellaneous Android Development > Root any Android device (without pc n in one click)
2. Android Development and Hacking > Android General > How To Root Any Android Device
3. How to Root Any Device
4. XDA Community Apps > Framaroot > [ROOT] Framaroot, a one-click apk to root some devices

Okay , thank you !

Just added some useful threads about general/universal rooting methods to my previous post.
Maybe you can try those methods ... although no other user has reported any of these to work on your specific device.

Hi damian5000,

After the rooting I installed Superuser and removed kinguser.apk in order to get english dialoges.
After a reboot of the phone the root is gone.

Rooting Pipo Max M9 and generally devices with RK3188 processor

Hello to all Pipo Max M9 users and generaly Rockchip RK3188 processor users.
I tried so hard to find a way to root my Pipo Max M9 after the last upgrade firmware, from original Pipo support site, that was not rooted. Until now (even with the stock firmware) in every android device I had, I was making the root with "Unlock Root" software for windows with one click. At this time It was not possible to do the root via this software.
After a hard try I found the right and easy way to make my tablet be rooted without install other firmwares or custom roms as other solutions needed.
I post it at xda developers cause I trust it very much and it is the first place that I look to find solutions on my problems. I think that many users do the same.
The easiest and "clean" way is describing at:
blog .geekbuying . com / index.php/2013/03/14/how-to-root-rockchip-rk3188-quad-core-device-like-cube-u30gt-2-pipo-m9/#.Us_XzdJdUYs
(Delete the spaces. I done it that way cause I have not already post 10 posts to be accepted to present links)
Happy Rooting! :victory:
This work is not mine.
I re-posted here from Geek Gadgets Blog and from the post of Eric
All thanks to him that helped me too!

RK3288 rooting ? (Pipo P1)

Hello all!
I am really strugling with the rooting of RK3288-based Pipo P1 3G Tablet.
Tried virtually every method -- Kingo Root.... Towelroot... Vroot... Unfortunately there is no CWM for it (yet) so I cannot try to root it from the recovery...
Do you have any experience / ideas how to root the RK3288 -- KitKat 4.4.2 based devices ?
They come with Android 4.4.2 KOT49H and kernel 3.10.0.
Thanks !!

Try to ask on freaktab forum, there are other owner of pipo that maybe can help you
Inviato dal mio LG-D802 con Tapatalk
Just for the sake of all PIPO P1 users -- Credits go to Fouk who mentioned this method.
Just follow the link, download the "chineese rooting software - Root Genius" run, enable USB Debug. and click Root. Done.
P.S. It doesn't install SuperSU/Superuser -- it installs Kinguser, but the functionality is the same and you will have full su-access.
Download Root-Genius.

To ask the service personnel of ainol-novo.com, they are engaged in tablet and smart phone business for many years and offer good after-sales service. they have specialized technical personnel on smart phone and tablet.
Thanks for the advertising... but no thanks -- as already described -- there is a working method and there are already custom pre-rooted ROMs out there.
For other users -- you can search for CrewRK Tablets or RileyROM. Personaly using RileyROM now (with some fine tuning) and I am quite happy with it.
Hi,
Can you confirm that it really works? Aybody tried this method with success?

Yes, it works. But really - just install the newest RileyROM 1.6 and be over it

There is no cwm recovery for this device so how to install new rom?
giaur -- check the RileyROM thread. There is TWRP recovery and the whole flashing process is described there.
No need to post here since no Pipo-Dev seems to use XDA Forum.
I won't reply to further questions here. Head to freaktab forums.
Ok I already asked them, most important if this rom is multilanguage
i did some search on RK3288. and i'd love to know how Pipo P1 doing with gaming?? 3D games??
All games run smoothly. I tested Asphalt 8 and Need For Speed Most Wanted.

[Completed] Need Help - Tablet PC (Ainol Numy 3G P97) System Flash and Installation of Custom ROM

Hi.
I've got a reasonably unknown Tablet PC.. Here are the specs and miscellaneous information;
Name: Ainol Numy 3G P97
Internal Memory: 16GB
RAM: 1GB
GPU: Mali-400 MP
SoC: MediaTek MT8382 ARM Cortex A7 @ 1.3Ghz (Quad Core)
OS: Android Jellybean 4.2.2 (I'm pretty sure it's a Custom ROM)
Kernel Version: 3.4.5
Build Number: Numy_3G_P97_V1_2014090215
Custom Build Version: 1.19_20140822
Root Access: No (I never tried to root the device, never had a reason to do so)
I've been searching around for ways to upgrade the OS from Jellybean to Lollipop or higher. I've searched extensively within XDA Developers' various forums, but there doesn't seem to be any post in relation with my device.
I took to the internet and found some websites offering Flash Tools, Firmware (nothing above KitKat, or so it seems) and Android Studio. I've tried (in vain) to go through some tutorials on YouTube, but haven't come across anyone who's done anything with this particular device.
However, I have a rough idea rattling around in my head of what needs to be done, but I just need guidance from the Developers here to tell me how to get about doing it.
I have the following software downloaded;
1. MediaTek USB Drivers and Flash tools
2. SP Flash Tool v5.1620
3. Official Android Jellybean 4.2.2 System Image for the device
4. Android Lollipop 5.0 System Image (the site I downloaded it from says the Firmware is for a different tablet pc, but with the same specs as my device)
5. Android Studio (latest version, direct download from Google) - I read in some sites that Android Studio would help a lot to install a Custom ROM into any Android device, hence the download.
I'd greatly appreciate anyone helping me out in this endeavor. I'd like to install Lollipop (at least) on my Tablet PC, in order to gain some functionality as well as improved performance (hopefully!), as the current Jellybean OS is terribly laggy. I've seen other Tablet PC's with lesser specs running Lollipop smoothly, so I'm hopeful that there might be a silver lining to an otherwise very dark and sinister looking thunderstorm.
Thanks!
Hi @sisilk
As there isn't a dedicated forum for your device here, the best place for your query is in:
> Android Development and Hacking > Android Q&A,Help and Troubleshooting.
You can hopefully find some support there.
Good luck

**Root** DragonTouch Max10 running on Android 9.

Hello all,
I am looking to overclock my CPU - it runs about 1.6GHz and its a little slow.
From back in the day, I remember the only way to do this is to root the Android device. I have tried to one-click root with KingoRoot (PC and android version), iRoot, and Framaroot; all have failed. I believe Framaroot actually told me that I don't have any vulnerabilities.
- Does this mean that I cannot root my Dragon Touch Max 10?
Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you, however this site doesn't seem to mention which Android OS you have. I have 9.0, and it seems to be blocked from doing it. This is just a basic how-to site.
