I just received a CMX AML8726-MX Android TV box from GeekBuying and overall I'm very impressed. XMBC runs great, browser is functional, but the only thing that I can't figure out is the WatchESPN app. I can install the latest version and when I click a video it just gives me a spinning circle and nothing ever loads. No error messages, just hours of spinning circle. I've installed an older version (pre 2.0.0) of WatchESPN and it works flawlessly except it isn't in very high quality because that was added later in the development. I have wanted to try a new rom to see if I can get the WatchESPN app working properly. Could someone point me to anywhere I can find a build for this particular chipset. It appears there are several tablets with the same configuration, but I wanted someone with a bit more knowledge to point me to the best one. It appeared most were 4.0 and 4.1. I'd prefer soemthing 4.2 or newer (that is what currently is on it).
Any help is appreciated.

You should now be able to see it in the Market.
Current version is 1.5.0
No discernable changes from 1.4.1 though so not exactly a Honeycomb-optimized application yet.
Yeah a pleasant surprise to see it in my list of apps needing update.
The latest update to the Netflix app now officially supports access in Canada. Tested on my Transformer and Nexus S. It does not appear to be optimized for tablets in terms of taking advantage of the screen realestate, but at least it finally works without having to mess around with VPNs to access streaming outside the U.S.
I can't seem to find it on the Market anywhere even searching for Netflix doesn't come upwith anything
I have this problem with other apps. For me it was caused by the ROM that I was using. The Prime ROM seems to be better for me than the Revolution HD. What ROM are you using?
EDIT - just checked and my TF running Prime 2.0.4 doesn't show the app either.
EDIT 2 - Try the online market. It worked for me!

Still doesn't work on mine
downloaded with dolphin browser and installed. working for me, finally. I live in Canada too so i didnt have to go with going through a US server.
About Time!!
Man I'm so happy. No more side loading or patching!!
Great I was not having any luck with the VPN route ....
Glitchy playback.
So has anyone noticed that although the 1.5 version of Netflix's video is sharper, the play back is glitch compared to the 1.4.1 version?
It's so glitchy that I've opt to stay with the 1.4.1 and suffer the "update available" messages.
BTW, I'm running 3.2.1 unrooted version of HoneyComb.

Working fine not glitchy at all.
Hi,
Hoping someone with experience on apps and development can help.
I bought Monopoly for my Android Tablet.
If I'm running ICS, I get a connection failed when it tries to download the extra files. Basically download bar stays at NAN and times out. So I downgraded my tablet to GB and managed to install the App.
However, due to the spec of my Tablet (not great) the game crashes. Even with using Chainfire 3D drivers and tweaking. I can prolong the crash, but it does crash!
I then installed the game on my Desire HD and noticed that it was a lower spec'd version, i.e. Handset version.
So I copied the download files from my DHD to the Tablet.
The game now loads and will probably work better as it's not a HD Tablet version and uses less memory, but the text is all messed up and unplayable.
I think there should be an easy fix and just some missing files or fonts. But I don't know where to start looking.
Can someone please help? Guidance would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Kiz
I bought an A22 android stick from pandawill (sorry I XDA wont let me post links) last week with the intention of throwing XBMC on it.
It's buggy as hell and reboots itself if I try to plug a mouse into it! I wouldnt mind that if I could control it with droidmote server from my phone but this app, along with youtube and google music wont open. (They close immediately with a message "Unfortunately youtube has closed" or something similar). Obviously the packaged remote is near useless so without any robust way to control the thing I'm in trouble!
Has anyone got any leads for installing a custom ROM on this thing? I dont have much experience with this stuff but I'm hoping a custom ROM would be more stable than the stock version. Any ideas?
So I picked on of these things up, I thought it seemed nifty. Once you get rid of all the extra crap MS puts on it, it actually runs pretty good also, its just windows 10.
I can't post an external link, but its easy to find the product page with google. Iview 1700AIO is the make & model number
Been trying to find an Android version to put on it though. Remix, Phoenix, plain X86 all have issues though. Older and new versions. There is no sound and wifi is spotty at best. The play store crashes alot. Also, there is no battery monitoring, its stuck around 7%.
Has anyone had any success with getting Android working properly? I'm sure the problems are driver related.
Hardware wise it has :
CPU- Intel Atom Z8350
WIFI - RTL8723BS
Sound - INTEL SST
I can post anything else someone might need if they have some ideas on getting this thing working.
I've recently acquired a used Google Jamboard (Smartboard TV thingie), and I wondered whether it could be reflashed with AndroidTV or similar, since as far as I found out, it's just a TV (and at 55" 4K a pretty good one) running Android and the Jamboard app. I haven't tried yet whether ADB is able to connect to it.. will do that soon-ish. I thought I'd check whether anyone else had tried that yet, but there doesn't seem to be anything around on the 'net. If I could turn that thing into a regular smart tv, that'd be fantastic.

If you flash anything, it would have to be built specifically for the model number of the device. What can and can't be flashed on any kind of android device is very dependent on exactly what hardware it is to be installed on. For example, all of the custom ROMs here for android phones, tablets, etc.. have all been built from the ground up specifically for the device it is being installed on, there really isn't a "one size fits all" android software option.
