Hi guys! Today I will explain you in 15 steps how to gain root permission on latest firmwares like GNG8 or higher and how to completely remove Knox from /system and /data partitions!
Let's start!
1) Download and install Towelroot app (you can get it HERE). Don't use it yet.
2) Download Odin 3.07 or Odin 3.09. If you don't have drivers, you can get them HERE.
3) Download the GNF1 100% stock kernel for I9505 from HERE.
4) Reboot your phone into download mode, put the tar.md5 kernel file in PDA/AP and click on Start.
5) After this step, your Wi-Fi will not work. Don't worry, it will work again when you will flash the kernel matched to your ROM version.
6) Run Towelroot app and tap "let it ra1n" (after that you can uninstall Towelroot app).
7) Reboot your phone into download mode and flash via Odin your original kernel, matched to the ROM version you are using. You can find HERE a kernel stock collection.
8) Download and install SuperSU app from Play Store. IMPORTANT: Don't run it yet.
9) Download and install Mobile Odin from Play Store.
10) Reboot your device.
11) Download the Knox Removal Script from HERE.
12) In Mobile Odin, press on OTA/Update ZIP and choose the Knox Removal Script.
13) Put the tick on: Enable EverRoot and Inject Superuser.
14) Press on "Flash firmware" to start the flash.
15) Enjoy your rooted ROM 100% Knox free and Knox counter 0x0. All data, applications and settings will remain untouched

I'm not shure but i think. because GNE8 comes after GNF1.
It seems Samsung have find the fail since GNG1

N7100XXUEMJ5 How to Root + Remove New Bootloader + KNOX Free
OK Guys before leaving to vacation got chance to make this. Here is the procedure, follow to the letter.
I am about to leave for vacation so coudn't test it, but already tested and reported by @mrtipster49
1.First Flash Complete ROM N7100XXUEMJ5 from sammobile posted here
Now your device will have KNox enabled bootloader.
2.Download MJ5BLPatch.tar.md5 and Flash with Odin for PDA Tab.
3.Reboot device, You won't have wifi working.
4.Download wifi patch and flash with Odin for PDA tab.
5.Reboot device and you will have old Knox free bootloader with Wifi working.
6.Flash CWM Recovery
7.To root device Use my MultiTool. You have to download MultiTool advanced V5 for 4.3 from this post I am uploading right now.
Once you root with this tool, It also remove KNOX apps from device.
8.Don't open SuperSU but straight way go to play store and update SuperSU
9.Now everything should be fine.

Certainly won't work, you can read first line of Mobile odin menu
It can't flash bootloader.
I highly recommend to not to try even.

That would be great if you get time. :good:
I think only deodexed script won't work, you have to flash patch to make it working as what I understand this security.
Actually i have even not flashed mj5 ever on my device, i have no time left for now. But bash can be helpful but still I doubt you can make it to work on one go.
Still it will be helpful for users as they can get prerooted and deodexed rom.

But I meant bash script using terminal emulator to run once and do the deodexing. Or maybe offline script from recovery. Let me see. I might succeed.

Important notes :
N7100XXUEMK4 seemed to be a leaked version, but it is final build now.
This will not wipe your data, however factory reset / wipe data is recommended.
Those who are from Custom ROM MUST wipe data/ factory reset before flashing this firmware.
Do a backup of your EFS
Installation steps :
1. Download Firmware
2. Backup, Backup, Backup
3. Flash using ODIN 3 v3.09
4. Reboot

please help me. I tried to install the latest firmware through odin but it said failed and after that my phone showing message firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again. I tried to select the same in Kies but its also says failed. Please help me how to recover. Before this I was running MJ5 firmware with MJ5 bootloader installed.

It is Pre-Rooted. with latest superSU. Dont need to update. Did you wipe data before installing this ROM ?

This was built from a SM-G900F recovery dump and may or may not work on all variants. Time will tell as they actually release.

If you don't like or you have problems with the new version of Android for Galaxy S4 (I9505), you can downgrade even if you flashed the new BL from Lollipop I9505XXUHOA7.
Instructions:
1. Flash this firmware into AP, untick Auto reboot
2. When pass in Odin, unplug cable, shut down Phone and restart directly into download mode
3. Reset Odin, put GNK2 Bootloader into BL and GNK2 Modem into CP, tick Auto reboot
4. When Phone restart (on Samsung logo) , shut down Phone and restart into recovery
5. Wipe factory reset, wipe cache partition, reboot.
Tested by me, and it works, no problems.

I suggest install this AP, and the other two files and then download every KitKat version you want!

I've flashed .PIT too on Lollipop, but for downgrade I didn't flash any .PIT, and I don't have problems!

Just wanted to say thank you for this guide - I'd flashed the Lollipop leaked ROM and I couldn't get WIFI to switch on, so was kinda stuck.
This has enabled me to go back to basics!

No, I'm sorry, I just got the links from a romanian forum, and not from "phonandroid", amd the mirrors were uploaded by me.
Once the bootloader is upgraded can't be downgraded, you can remove BL stuff

sorry my friend but you can !!!!i had the full stock germany leak but i didnt like an d search for a solution to go back to kk and my favourite goldfinger v9!i did all the things in this thread!but when i finish all this i didnt have wifi!so i flash the tar from sammobile(the latest nk4 dbt)and all is fine!:good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good:

I just flashed the stock rom of kitkat from sammobile & it downgraded perfectly !!!!

And have you flashed the kitkat with that way

Yes i was on leaked lollipop & i flashed this one I9505XXUGNE5_I9505OXAGNE5_I9505XXUGNE5_HOME.tar.md5 from sammobile & it worked perfectly restored the bootloader & everything but i didn't flash the pit file when i used the leaked one but now you can find the offical lollipop on sammobile for i9505
I flashed with PIT and in order to downgrade I reflashed a pit file for kitkat and a firmware from sammobile. All good. No problems

I can confirm that too...
You can downgrade to 4.4.2 anytime, even if you used the Bootloader upgrade!
