Hallo, I´ve problems installing UOT Themes via the recovery (clockwork mod 5.0.2). Trying to install the .zip files throws me "error 0". In the kitchen I have read to substitute a certain file from the rom, but having done this the installer aborts without doing anything. I can manually substitute the framework.res file via rootexplorer, but this isn´t elegant and annyoing.
Does anybody have experiences with this problem or a solution to this?
TIA
Marcus4Aspern
Yeah what I do is once I've done the theme downloaded it I get the update-binary file from the rom I'm using which is here in the zip file \META-INF\com\google\android\ and then exchange it with the one in the zip file from the kitchen and then flash it with CWM. I've done that with every theme I've done and its worked every time

I followed the guide on turning S-off and was sucessfully able to do that. I want to add this mod to phone but received a error. I download the zip file, saved it my sd, booted into CWM recovery, selected install zip from sd card, chose the zip file, and i got an error saying e:Cant open /sdcard/htcmusic_beats_synergy3d.zip
Does anyone one know where I can look to fix this? I found guides on instill roms but I didn't find guides on adding mods.
Thank you very much ^^
Which file did you download? What version of Sense are you running? We need more info.
Flashable HTC Music "Beats" Mod - Sense 3.0 (2.3.4) ROMS ONLY - (Flashable version of Synergy3d mod below)
I am running android version 2.3.4
Htc Sense verision 3.0
try redownloading it and compare the MD5 is available. if not then try manually copying the files AT YOUR OWN RISK
I searched for this before posting the thread. I recently installed 'SkyROCKeteer-2.0-Alpha1-112311-signed' on my i727R (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1343185). And I noticed he has small zip files on his thread for things like battery mods and icon fixes but they're .zip files. My question is how would i install this to my phone? I tried installing the individual .apk apps but that didn't work.
Reboot into CWM recovery flash it like you did the ROM itself.
Hi,
Since non of links in the Team Lamber Corrosion does works (only main download link), I would like to know, what is structure of .deodex files used in your program.
I've got stock JPU right now, and I would like to deodex it using Team Lambert app.
I got a little concept - it's .zip file inside of wich are deodexed .apk without .odex files, and then the name is changed to .deodex
PROGRAM LINK: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1161176
I have deodexed the XXJPU by myself with xUltimate
takes a lot of time
why dont you save your time and use an already deodexed XXJPU ROM?
-> http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18894408&postcount=78
Install the deodexed ROM and use UOT Kitchen for pimping.
Cheers

Well, it says "Wrong sim card", common error with JPU modifications,
doesn't appear in stock JPU.
And as far as i know, it only appears with my operator (never seen someone's post about similar bug)
Well, if you have flashed it with xUltimate, maybe you know the answer to my friends topic (we are both trying to deodex our phones, we both have G3)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1376985
it´s late right now, checking sekhargreen´s commands... on the first sight.. great, but not checked in detail
I have found a script in a german forum which was concepted for i9000, I just took it and modded it for G3 needs.
heres the link for the complete update*.zip which I used for deodexing my XXJPU.
http://www.mediafire.com/?6h5u6157yh402nf
Well...
1. install stock xxjpu
2. install G3 Mod kernel (to use CWM)
I have installed G3mod Kernel 2.3 NON OC
-boot into cwm
-update zip
-choose update file )or something like that, not only update.zip)
toggle for it, agreem, wait for copying the files
have fun!
or take the easy way and use the already deodexed ROM, link given above...
the deodexed ROM above is already rooted... very comfortable way
The choice is up to you both.
Cheers

Could you please explain more about above?
to use CWM (clockworkmod) you need a kernel which supports cwm
->I have G3Mod Kernel running
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1252698
The way is described in the first posting:
3.2) Select .zip from sdcard
Stock kernel doesnt have CWM.
Just flash the non OC kernel and you have cwm without overclocking. Runs like stock kernel.
Hope some can help me out. I'm trying to add app to ROM zip so I don't need to install it manually. Have the ROM install itself when flashing it. I open the ROM zip with winRar and create a folder "data/app." I use Real APK Leecher app to download free app. I place apk in "data/app" folder. Flash the ROM w/TWRP v2.2.2.0 and none of the app got installed.
However, if i put all apk in "system/app" folder, it installed when flashing the ROM.
This is the ROM i use [ROM][S4] Virtuous Ville+ RC-1 | Sense 4+ | JB 4.1.1
Am i doing something wrong that's y "data/app" not install any apk?
thx

I have found adding a folder like that is not that easy which is a shame, think you have to edit something in the META-INF to get it to work but you could just put the apk in the system/app.
thanks Darknites.
Any different by putting in data/app or system/app?
Maybe this is old when i google. I also try to edit something so that "Unknown Source" enable itself when flashing. I google and saw somewhere in xda to edit xml which was locate inside SettingProvider.apk -->res-->values-->bools.xml
lol unfortunately there's no "value" folder in it...

Some apps don't like it for some reason so does need testing. Don't think its that I sure its in the folder I said. Its something I never looked in to because I use Titanium Backup for apps that don't work and/or have settings backed up with it.
