CM11 Nightlies, major lag after phone comes out of sleep - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket SGH-I727

Hello,
I was able to see that a few others have been having this issue (noted in the dev section ) but I wanted to ask if anyone else has noticed that their CPU frequency does not go above 384 mhz after phone comes out of deep sleep?
Using CyanogenMod 11.0 Nightlies with stock kernel. A reboot of the phone makes is speedy again, however if the phone goes to sleep, its super laggy when it it wakes up. ( the only solution I found is to either reboot, or set the minimum frequency and max frequency to be the same 1500 mhz)
Please let me know if I am alone in experiencing this mhz lock to 384 mhz after phone wakes up.
Note: I did a clean flash and I am still having the same issue.

change to ondemand in cpu settings, its not the default as to why idk, issue and fix has been posted many times b4.
if it is set to ondemand then you have some other prob or a setting that needs to be adjusted or app running in the background

I actually don't have that as an option for the CPU governor.
All I have available is
Interactive
Conservative
userspace
powersave
performance
All of which cause the same lag issue as what I mentioned. Each nightly flash sets it back to "Interactive" as the default, but since you mention ondemand can you confirm if you can actually see ondemand as an available option to select on your phone using Official CyanogenMod 11.0 Nightlies for Skyrocket ([TeamChopsticks)? I don't have ondemand available.

Interactive does usually end up being default, but I believe it was sometime last month where ondemand was removed from that ROM... which was the point where I jumped ship to another ROM.

Cpu Sticks at 384 On Call Or Wake
Hey All Hate to Bump this, but I have been having this same Issue for Months, Has Anyone Come Up With a Solution Other The Changing ROM??
I'm Also Having this "FREEZE" When The Phone screen is off and I get a Call but the Answer screen doesn't come up while the phone rings straight thru to Voice Mail, But if I slide to The right (On The Blank Screen) It answers.... I have messed with the CPU Performance Settings, and No Help....It does it On the Default settings and the Altered Settings??? I Checked the DEV Thread and Really Didn't see much about this....
Any Help Appreciated;

You can use conservative; remember to tick de option "Apply automatically on boot".

Ya I set it after I made that post and was gonna update today These Settings SEEM to be working extremely well... Will update if it changes..
Governor :Conservative
Min :192
Max:1512
I/O: NOOP
And it's Kinda Strange I/O on NOOP Is Actually throttling the CPU pretty well....Gonna run Like this for awhile and a see how Performance/Battery Use Work Out, And Probably Start Playing with the NOOP Setting, But from my tests it actually seems the most fluid, and Actually drops to 192 when no use....

I am using the Clemsyn Kernel now, but have never done any overclocking before.
What is the effect on battery life if I went to around 1.4ish?
What is the effect on the lifetime usage of my unit if I overclock?
After I download SetCpu, what settings do I use? Do I have to change anything in voltage?
I read something where people sometimes underclock when the screen is turned off. How can I do this?

Start off by setting your main profile to 1.4GHz and tick set on boot. And theres your overclock... I think interactive gov. is the most useful, you can try others if you want.
If you would like to limit the speed when screen off, add a profile under profiles select screen off and set your wanted frequency when screen off.

+1 This is exactly what I've done
If you set the max speed to 1.4 GHz and set the governor to performance it will drain the battery faster than if you had it set to the others. You'll most likely have already upgraded the TF by the time it dies due to overclocking. It does shorten the life, not dramatically though. You can set up underclocking in profiles.

Could any developer kinda fix cpu1 battery drain issue?

There are also some other people who reported the same issue in this thread.
I'v tried all these kernels on three ROMs and they reported the same problem. The cpu1(2nd core) always keeps as ondemand mode. I've to use CPU Editor and enable Dual Core Mode to force it to other mode but after a reboot, it will reset to ondemand again. Sticky Enabled has no use here.
Another thing is after a reboot, the cpu1 frequency will also get a reset to the kernel's max. frequency supported. I've to set it again too.
Use Quick system info pro, it will shows out the current cpu0/1 governor and cpu scaling range very clearly.
SetCpu looks messed up on One S. The max frequency actually works as cpu1's max frequency while min frequency actually works as cpu0's max frequency.
It has no club to run the cpu1 ondemand at max all day long, it's just a waste of battery. On such a powerful S4 cpu, it's also non-sense to use ondemand governor as default. Interactive, Conservative, SmartassV2 are all better choices.
As a result, by using CPU Editor to lower the cpu1's speed and switch to other governor, my battery on daily use improved.

Looking for a truly wise governor

I have Xperia Neo V, GB 2.3.4, rooted, NightElf 10, codename_ei8ght, OC: 245-1400 MHz. Usually I use SmartassV2 + SIO (I don't know why SIO - I've been told to choose this one, so I did). I've also briefly tested many other governors, but to tell the truth, I don't see much real-life difference between them (apart from the CPU Spy logs).
The problem that bothers me is that I need to manually change the OC settings, each time I want to use an app or a game that don't need 1400 MHz. For example - when I want to play AngryBirds. The game works perfectly on 1000 MHz, so why waste the battery power and generate lots of heat? But any governor I know, will "give" 1400 MHz to this game. That's why I need to switch down manually before playing. The same thing with many other apps, like, for example - navigation. It's absolutely enough to navigate on 1000 MHz, but any governor will set the CPU to 1400 MHz when Navigation is running.
Looking for a truly wise governor, that would give as much MHz as needed for an app/game to run smoothly, but not more. Is such a governor even possible to create?

from my observation SmartAssV2 tends to change frequency too much: up, down, up, down. As I mostly want to get best battery life I decided to switch to Conservative - the phone is still responsive (i can't notice difference) but when I dont do anything seems to keep the frequency lower.
I still have problem what governor to choose for sleep state - now im testing PowerSave (so it keeps minimal frequence) so far seems to work (even worked while playing music).
IMO writing too complicated governors could only slow down the system, so it is hard task to decide in real time which frequency is still sufficient for smooth play and at the same time as low as possible.
Do all governors have "deep sleep" mode? Is it governor-dependent at all?
I have some problems with refreshing news widget - I discovered that it is never refreshed in deep sleep mode.
Can I disable deep sleep mode?

CM10.1 CPU frequencies not sticking

I'm currently using CM10.1 AOSP [KANG] from the thread here -- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2115520. In essence, I cannot raise either the minimum or maximum CPU speeds above 384MHz.
I just tried restoring my phone using a RUU recovery.exe file, then re-rooted, S-OFF'd, unlocked the bootloader and then updated the firmware. Right after flashing CM10.1, I am still having issues with changing the CPU speed. The maximum and minimum CPU speeds I can choose are either 192MHz or 384MHz. I can go into settings > performance then change the maximum CPU speed to anything higher than that, but almost instantly after I select it the maximum CPU speed drops back down to 384 MHz. The same goes for trying to raise the minimum CPU speed above 384MHz. It makes the phone nearly unusable, as it takes multiple seconds to open almost any application and also reboots randomly quite often. Is there any way I can fix this?

Right. Here's what I did last time. I used something called SetCPU. Ticked the Set On Boot then it worked. But I unticked the ones in the Performance option.

go to system>etc>init.qcom.post_boot.sh and put this line(you can edit with simple text editor)
echo the value > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
do the same for cpu1 if you want to have the same frequency in both cpu

[Q] Questions about mpdecsion and cpu settings

I have run a few rom kernel combinations, most recent being Chaos Kernel on official CM11 nightlies. I will set the min/max frequencies in the configuration app that comes with the kernel, but if I look at a log of my cpu steppings it will go over the max frequency set regularly. I tried even after running:

to stop mpdecision and start intelliplug but the cpu still goes over the max frequency I have set. Does this impact battery life greatly, and how can I stop the cpu from ramping all the way up past the max I set.
I also tried setting the max frequency in CM11s built in performance settings.
I have noticed this problem on stock based froms as well. I cannot remember if intelliplug fixed this problem with Faux's kernel.
