Ported to CC last week from Airvoice. Got LTE and data working but not MMS. With the same APN settings my wife's Moto X works fine. I'm running stock 4.2.2 one my AT&T One X. Any suggestions? Haven't got around to calling tech support yet but probably will have time tomorrow.

Turns out I had spaces after the commas in the APN Type field. Removed the spaces, MMS is working.

How do you "setup the lte plan"? Does lte require another fee added to your account?

You call at&t, say you got a new one x, and you give them imei and sim number. They add the appropriate plan to your account. Doesn't cost any more but they have to know to provision your sim for the PTA apn.

I just got myself a One X and had the same problem. I dont have LTE but I do pay for a data plan. I added a new VPN under mobile network and used these settings I found on a Google search:
AT&T
APN: wap.cingular

Expanded Version:

APN Type: leave blank
worked like a charm.
best to get your account setup properly and use the pta apn. Significantly better ping times, and in some instances, better speeds.
I have tried 12 different apns but the phone seems to be stuck on edge and wont go over 1.5mbps and my friend who gave me the phone always got 3g/4g in our area I think its on edge because all it has it the little H+ on notification bar
current apn:
apn:att.mnvo
blank
blank......
mms protoal:wap 2.0
mmc310
mnc410
auth type pap or chap
apn type default,supl
mms seems to work fine though any thoughts? Also had a att go phone on st lost apns and it got constant 3g
H+ is 4G HSPA+, shortened to H+
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=982082 you can try that to help your speeds
Edit: Just reread your post. If it's displaying the H symbol you're on "4G" if it displays an E then you are on edge
Unless it's a typo, your apn is off. att.mvno
Mmc needs to be set

I don't use the proxy under apn.

H+ is hsdpa(technically 3.5g). It's the fastest connection these phones have. Mine goes anywhere from 2mb to 7mb depending on network traffic. Are you s off and running a custom Rom?

go to straighttalk website. You can buy the sim from them and sometimes carry over your #. You can buy any SIM card, but it depends on what network you want it work on and maybe what works in your area the best. such as ATT, Net10, Straighttalk, Tmobile.

You can get straighttalksim online and at some walmarts. I got mine online. when you order you select att t-mobile or unlocked depending on the network you plan to use and the phone. If it is an att phone att sim. if t-mobile phone t-mobile sim. Sim unlocked take your pick
OK it looks like straighttalk may be only selling t-mobile sim now. Yesterday at straightalksim.com att sim was not an option. they were still available at walmart online. Straightalksim.com says t-mobile or unlocked.but it says unlocked must work on t-mobile frequencies so it is t-mobile or t-mobile

Hi, my name is Andrew,
I just got my HTC Inspire 4g on Sunday. I already have it running aokp 4.2.1. I'm upgraded from an htc one V on Virgin Mobile. I activated my new phone a couple days ago.
I live in a place where I know for a fact that HSPA+ on AT&T works. My problem is that I cannot seem to get H+ data on my screen. All I can get is the H. I do a speed test and get between one and three Mb/second.
My Apn is this:
Name: StraightTalk AT&T
APN: att.mvno
proxy: not set
port: not set
username: not set
password: not set
server: not set
MMSC: http://mmsc.cingular.com
MMS proxy: 66.209.11.33
MMS port: 80
MCC: 310
MNC: 410
Authentication type: not set
APN type: default,supl,mms,hipri
APN protocol: IPv4/IPv6
APN roaming protocol: IPv4/IPv6
Bearer: unspecified
If someone could please provide me with an apn that they know of that provides H+, that'd be great. I've googled, and all I can seem to get is the little H symbol.
Thank you
I am using an app called tweakker from the play store. I am also using Straight Talk on AT&T. Just run the app and select Straight Talk ATT, and you are done. Much faster than typing it in yourself.

The h+ symbol is purely cosmetic. It is only in sense based roms. Most custom roms aops, aokp, or cm based do not include that icon. H+ on sense is the same as h on new nonsense.

Am I the only one here that is under the impression that Straight Talk via AT&T only gives one access to 3G?
4G
straight talk has 4G and 4G LTE (if your in the area) i have a inspire 4G and mine is on straight talk if it says H it means H+ its the same just some roms use diff. icons but i get between 2 and 5 mbps some times 6 im s-off so i flash radios like crazy and foreal thats what its all abput finding the radio that ur rom and ur area likes lol im from maryland eastern shore and i use the 12.41.60.19P_26.06.04.14_M radio and it works pretty well if u get the right one u can get ur phone to have really good DL and UL speeds and u can get full bars atleast i do but just mess around and see what one works for you

Do you really want the at&t update? It has features deliberately broken/not functional. You can get much better versions of Sense 5 from our development section.

You will only get the update if you are connected to AT&T's network. You can update with the RUU, but be aware that this will wipe the phone, so backup your personal data first.
http://www.htc.com/us/support/htc-one-x-att/news/
Also be sure the phone is not modified, as past RUU's had a bug where SuperCID (with S-on) would brick the phone when you ran a Jellybean RUU.
