Boot Animations in Cyan M9 [Solved] - ONE Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Brothers, I'm running the M9 Snapshot version of Cyanogenmod on my OnePlus. No matter what i do. I just can't get the Boot Animation taken from Cyanogenmod 11S to work in M9! I have placed it in all the mentioned places where it is required to be placed. But either the default Cyanogemod bootscreen would appear, or a small android logo. What could i be doing wrong?

Thank you so much kind sir It worked! I know this is off-topic, but would there be any chance to make your OnePlus Lockscreen Panel mod work on the M9? I tried to do as instructed but the result kinda took away the stock slider and didn't do anything else.

[Q] Different roms work, but not a single MIUI can..

Hi,
I've decided to make a thread since I can't resolve this on my own.
Device is Unlocked, S-OFF, and rooted.
Since I rooted my DS, I've tried lots of different roms. CM, JFB, PACman, ViperVENOM... they all work (to an extent - some better some worse)
but I cannot seem to get a single MIUI to work. I've tried so much as 10 at least. Some were official, for my device, some were custom.
They all have similar problem:
getting stuck at welcome screen after instalation (the "MI" letters)
please help me to solve this
... looking forward to a reply

AFAIK you need a hboot with a separate /system/lib partition, i.e. a hboot whose version number starts with a 7 in your case.

as far as mods go, this is from the stock firmware so any mods that are being made for the new nexus 7 should work fine (for example the advanced power menu that i added). that goes for kernels too, those are device specific, not rom specific

Xposed works on 4.3. You have to install 2.1.4 then flash a zip in recovery.
I'm not sure if you just missed them or what, but some of the Google apps you said you had removed are still in the zip. Currents, Earth, Ears, Games, and then I stopped looking. It's not a big deal, I'm removing them from the downloaded zip, but I wanted to let you know!
And in advance, thanks for the ROM.

well this is based on the released firmware, if there is a patch out there for that, i will see if i can get it included, otherwise i will wait for the next firmware update which will probably have it in there.
no my next release would be a couple of mods im working on, which in reality can be zip files to flash so you wont need to reinstall or reflash the whole thing, but will also be added to the rom as well for anyone who has not tried this one yet

Gotcha. Well, the update is included in the latest factory images, so if you're using that, it should be good.

From which one model and OS version exactly? In any case you can download appropriated stock ROM from somewhere and extract the file you needed.

It is an international version (D802), with software D80220b-EUR-XX.
I need it for replacing the original file in system/priv-app, because I screwed up by flashing a zip (http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/themes-apps/quickcircle-music-g3-ported-roms-t2800536), which is for ported G3 ROMs and I have a stock 4.4.2 ROM.
I have actually made a backup with TWRP a couple of days ago. But because I'm new to this, I have no idea how to use it.

Yes I didn't forget about that. Looking at it from the logical side I really don't know how it would be even possible to work, because the apps were not on my phone. It must be another way by installing it, or something like that.

There is one guy I saw posted on a rooting thread that he has developed a ROM for this device but, does not know how to write the updater-script so he is looking for help with that. Perhaps you can help.

I have ported roms in the past to Kindle Fire HD from the Nexus tabs. It's way easier to port than to build a rom from scratch. The tricky part is finding the easiest roms to work with.
Well I can't do either.
Wouldn't we want to get something on here other than stock?
I'll take a port! Lol

Well I would think that you would need a working custom recovery with external SD card support first. Though the big feature I am looking forward to is a kernel that supports Roehsoft Ram Expander (swap) which while it works fine on my S3 does not work at all on the Tab 4 7.0.

There is a fully working recovery with SDcard read/write support as mentioned in THIS post.
What I did was downloaded the TWRP 2.8.0.1 .img for t230 then flashed it over the older non-working TWRP using #Rashr. It works for me on SM-T230NU and wipe works. Dalvik/Cache, everything.

I resstored the device in odin to the latest factory firmware then flashed the twrp in odin, rebooted directly to recovery and flashed supersu. Rebooted to system, set up all my stuff and flashed the new twrp over the old twrp using rashr. I had to reboot once to set up rashr before i could flash but, it all worked perfectly for me

cant start over if it wont turn on at all and i believe the battery is dead and it wont charge.
ive read about this issue with other galaxy tabs (2,3) and i need to open up and disconnect battery, i will try this when i get home. i hope it does something after. i just got this thing.
i cant just flash the good twrp instead of one over the other?

Illusion ROM Boot tester

Hello I am the illusion dev and have released builds for d851 and ls990 and would like to bring it here for you too. I have builds sitting but will not release without someone telling me it boots first.
Any one want to try it?.
Please dont respond if you dont know how to get out of a bootloop as this is untested for your device but i believe it will work fine.

You'll have a funny DPI issue with small icons at first.. Just change DPI to the desired density in display settings and reboot.. I just fixed it in source so next build will be fine.
Doesn't seem to like it atm. Going to try another dl.
