It happens when I use HDR filter.
Tride to delete cache and data in app Manager but no change...
Thank you
Do you use a custom rom with the original built in camera app or do you reflash the camera app by yourself?
Or do you use the original CM11s ROM?
I use original CM11S, no root.
Go for a Custom Rom like crDroid (have the rom on my phone and its smooth amd stable ) If you dont want to root/flash your device boot in the stock recovery mod and clean your cache
I dont want to install other roms... I like CM11S.

I did not see any option in this recovery to format boot or system so I was wondering whether or not it left traces of other ROMs. I'm just wondering because I have not been able to find a single ICS ROM that gives me quality battery life at all! So I decided to go back to clockwork mod and do a complete wipe and am currently installing PA's bugless beast. I thought maybe the recovery had something to do with because even when I went back to GB I was still getting bad battery life and with a new battery too. Any ideas?
i've seen format system but didn't see format boot , perhaps it does 2 actions at once
i've been using TWRP for a while , really like it ., never encountered any problem of flash ROM or clean system

hello guys. I have got an issue. My phone's rear camera has suddenly stopped working. I think the problem is with my kernel. I want to reflash the kernel. But my question is, can i flash the kernel now? Means as far as I know, you have to flash kernel right after installing the ROM. I have been using this ROM for a month or so. I don't want to reflash the whole rom again. Will my phone work normal after flashing kernel in this state?

Should work, just wipe cache and dalvik cache and make a nandroid backup before flashing the kernel. If you want to be on the safe side, first flash the rom and gapps again and then the kernel. All your settings will persist.

I don't wanna flash the rom again because i dont want to reinstall all the apps and then sort out my rom. I want to flash the kernel on the current running rom. Like overwritting boot.img or something.

All installed apps persist too. Just need to uninstall non needed via Titanium Backup. Kernel sometimes comes with libs. Thats why complete reinstall should be more safe.

U can flash ur kernel without any problem, as much as i know it wont interfere with anything, taking backup is a precautioned method so i suggest either reinstall kernel or try some third party apps first to check if problem is with camera or app....

Ok.. So i flashed the kernel and my phone boot up fine. Bur the camera problem still prevails. Tried lots of third party apps. Neither of them worked.

If the custom rom / custom kernel cuases the problem you won't be able to fix it by a third party app. You'll probably have to switch the rom or rom build.
I think the problem is with your ROM try installing another ROM. I recommend using stock ROM to check whether the front camera is working or not

Actually i know that the problem is with my rom. Reinstalling rom will solve it. But the thing is that i didn't want to install the rom and start over. I wanted a quick alternate solution instead reflashing the rom. But nevermind thanks anyways :')

About "quick" ...
Full flash takes less than 1 hour for me including setting up everything.
You spent multiple time of that yet ...

Lol.. Actually I'm having exams nowadays. So yeah no time whatsoever. I have to bear my ugly front camera for few days.
You don't want to wipe your own data, right. Here is the solution, take a backup of all your stuffs then flash Stock ROM and then restore your stuff
Hi,
Phone not responding after some minutes . only black screen no "wake up" on anyway. need to forcefully restart.
Currently i am using SlimBit [6.0.1_r12][AOSP][LAYERS][11-Feb]
also tried Resurrection Remix v5.6.3 Marshmellow
Installed using TWRP v3.0 Recovery by clean slate (Wipe Data/System,cache,dalvic including internal storage data)
also installed from MIUI v6.6.10 base version also.
Same problem rises again and again in all CM,ASOP version i installed.
Only without "GAPPS " i can use my device for few Days.
Is that any correct installation method, other than described in each rom thread.???
I need Big help....
Thanks

Try using the base rom as v5.6.11 and try using the old twrp v2.8.7
I have same issue. Nandroid backup of CM12, Mowkee, Resurection does not successfully load anymore. While the MIUI 7 v7.1.1.0 nandroids still load with no problem. I used to load my other custom rom nandroid with no problem. I did also install the new ver3 TWRP but tried reverting back to Magdag Mi4i TWRP but still same issue.
Try provide with a logcat, might be more useful in helping you.
No other custom rom is working on my mi4i
After clearing the system data cache . . I installed cm13 using twrp by maddag...after successfully installed the rom and gapps when it finishes boot and the welcome screen appears then its stuck in the welcome screen for 5secs then reboots them after booting up again on welcome screen again restarts..it is happening every time.. So I installed cm12 and after finishing boot...again same problem so I reverted back to miui by installing the rom via fast boot by mi pc suite and it booted successfully without any problems.. And in miui rom my mob laggs too much and the benchmark in antutu is 29000...I think I need to replace the mobile phone..still 2 months warranty remaining..?

Try use old TWRP, if you got hard error flash MIUI V6.6.6 first.

Don't forget to flash MIUI V.6.6.6 (or V.6.6.6 patch ROM) first before you restore your nandroid backup like CM12, Mowkee, Resurection if you from new MIUI ROM.
If you want to restore MIUI7 nandroid backup from CM12 you need to flash MIUI7 patch ROM first.

Don't forget to flash MIUI V.6.6.6 (or V.6.6.6 patch ROM) first before you flash to CM13, if not you'll get bootloop. If you use default init.qcom.post_boot.sh and your phone heat up it will lags, so use edited init.qcom.post_boot.sh.
Confirmed

I can confirm that this DID magically works!
No need to use the old TWRP, just flash MIUI V6.6.6(I used the fastboot package[1], not sure if recovery package works) then flash TWRP then flash other custom OSes.

Hey guys.
So tonight I wanted to try the nougat build which has been floating around on here for a couple of days. Because I need my main (fully functional & optimized) ROM, I installed MultiROM, and installed the (MultiROM optimized version of) AOSP nougat, with GApps, SuperSU(latest) & hw keys > soft-keys mods.
Everything worked out, but then when I tried booting the internal ROM, it just booted me into recovery.
So, what is happening here? Is there a way to make my main ROM bootable?
I had to reflash first Rom... Didnt loose data but had to reflash Rom+gapps+supersu

Awesome! I went into recovery, flashed my rom + SuperSU + Xposed + Leaked Nexus launcher & I was up and running again
Only thing which I lost was the Nexus Launcher data, but I could've backed that up using Titanium backup. Meanwhile I've had the problem occur again, and fixed it with the same resolution. Currently it's in a state where it works perfectly. MultiROM is dodgy & weird sometimes...
Anyways, cheers :good:
So I was on sultan cm13 rom and decided to flash RR v 5.8.3 today.
I was having multirom installed, but uninstalled it before continuing.
After flashing RR the "android.media has stopped" popup started to come up and there was nothing in music library or gallery.
But in explorer i can see my files intact.
Tried flashing halogenOS still same result..
Tried pure lineage OS build still same result..
Can anyone help on this issue?
I am back on pure stock rom for now..

Recovery: twrp-3.1.0-K1-bacon.img
Steps i followed:
1. Uninstalled multirom by flashing the multirom_uninstaller.zip
2. Flashed this recovery "twrp-3.1.0-K1-bacon.img" previously i had multirom recovery
3. Then reboot to new recovery.
4. Wiped Data,System,Cache,Dalvik-cache.
5. Flashed halogenOS build:20/04
6. Flashed Gapps 7.1 arm nano.
7. Rebooted
Then the error popup started coming after the setup wizard.
I looked at music, it showed no music found, same with gallery no photos found was coming
I thought maybe ROM bug so i clean flashed RR latest build(downloaded today)
Same problem in RR ROM also.
So i clean flashed lineage Rom, i thought maybe it was some firmware issue, still same problem!!!
So now i am back to full stock(flashed all the fastboot images of stock rom cos13)
