Shouldn't I be here Nah I just write device code nothing more.
Not all features are available yet.
Features:
Welcome to VanirAOSP. Our mission is to deliver a clean optimized version of Android with subtly improved versions of the features you love to as many devices as possible. we've tried to incorporate and improve our features in a way that makes them more cohesive to improve the overall user experience while correcting any performance regressions and improving functionality..
What to expect:
- This is not a McCopy ROM. What goes into our build is well thought-out and not a bunch of stuff duck taped together because we could.
- maximum optimization. We do our research. We test hard. We build -fstrict -O3 globally and include a massive array of code optimizations and memory leak fixes that we write ourselves and eventually submit to AOSP or Linaro.
- originality in our source. We generate a lot of new commits being features or general code improvements. We are open source to share and improve the community but we also try to make sure we offer a unique experience.
- aesthetics.. hopefully in your opinion
General features:
stock mode - ability revert to stock AOSP code with the exception of a few custom features we chose to keep active
enhanced performance.. longer uptime with less slowdown
custom written CRON and init.d.
UI and graphics improvements
custom navbar, navring, and hardware key features
improved notification handling (active display & halo are in review also)
usability improvements like power reboot menu and sound
animation control
Improved Vanir keyboard
CM's profiles & quicksettings
additional quicksetting tiles
immersive mode
statusbar mods
clock & battery mods
lockscreen blur and other mods
soon to come -> quick cam and flash notifications
busybox, embedded root, init.d, cron etc
yatta yatta yatta
more to come when i feel like updating the op

* I can't work miracles tell me what isn't working. So far everything is working
Screenshots (Had a couple more but they exceeded the size limit, so two for now)
Nvidia apps (Shield hub, Trine 2...) aren't included, are they?
Thanks.

Currently no , we do plan on porting those in the future as we know that's something most people want. I plan to include them in a separate installation I don't think it should be a default installation for everyone.

It's been tested and so far no issues I would like feedback but seems no one can give up nvidia features. I guess I will have to start porting their apps soon.
Okay will download now and give you some feed back.
Will give you a update this evening gives the ROM a chance. Had one fc on allow rotation in lock screen but so far very impressed further in depth later today

I'm interested in putting this on but I'd be missing some of the stock features suck as the direct stylus app, the power optimization features, and the controller app for starters.

It went from 43 000 on ANTUTu to 54 000 WoW, that a MONSTER POWER BOOST, AMAZING!
Not bad ROM, however after installing this ROM the tablet is only a 'Shield" device by name. Play Store recognize it as "NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet", however all Shield exclusive apps (Shield Hub, Half Life 2, Portal, etc) are marked as not compatyble.

Yeah that is one thing that may require the build.prop to be modified. I'll play with it today and see what needs to be done, I was playing with getting stock apps working. I have shield hub working and I can stream.
I did a quick search and found this app , market-helper/. It let me download HL2.

Confusing I thought that's what it needed it to say? I matched build.prop to stock ROM I'll check again. I checked model etc is exactly the same

i'd say, for me, 100% yes
i'd love for the shield tablet to operate as intended, and also be customizable through roms.
would it be enough to do a titanium backup of these apks (directstylus launcher, shield console mode, shield wireless controller, shield hub) and just restore them through?

Nope. Some apps might work but there are required lib files and things that will not be backed up in the process. I've been trying but haven't had a ton of time yet. I'll work with it some more this weekend.

Were you able to include OTG charging?
So far this os is better for gaming, than the original, since games are more smooth running under this os. Too bad Shield apps are missing...

Flashed and running. Tested Bluetooth with my MOGA controller. I'm thrilled to be able to use it again. Thanks, Josue. How are you liking this neat little tablet?

Ugh I can't believe I'm back on a Samsung device, but I couldn't find anything as good for the price. Besides the fact the size imo is better than 7invh tabs. That being said Samsung needs to shoot the software engineers that made there Touchwiz launcher. By far the lagging launcher I've ever used... Of all time... Think my old captivate lagged less. As for aosp support it isn't half bad. Crpalmer has been working his ars off on this and many thanks to him.

Absolutely, huge respect and gratitude are due to Mr Palmer.
The only knock on the Tab Pro I can find, once you remove TW, is the battery life. I'm actually fine with the 7-8 hours of screen on time I average with Slim, but there are tablets that do much better. The screen is,I think, the standout feature. Beautiful and just the right size. Are you thinking of tweaking the kernel any (once you get everything else straight, of course)?
From my Tab Pro 8.4
I already did on the build I released here. My personal build is using Linaro 4.9 with Ofast gcc optimizations. Not sure how much more though. I tried to get faux sound but I've been unable to get Ardmore gains to work . You can use apps like TricksterMod to play around with kernel settings

We are very excited to announce the release of Paranoid Android Quartz, based on Android 10.
On the first launch, you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson, who teamed up with us again to create several beautiful pieces of artwork. Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose design stands for itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We also added further UI touches that we believe enhance the overall user experience. You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app, included in our builds.
Our builds are based on the Code Aurora Forum Android base, which is optimized for Qualcomm platforms and has a higher degree of performance, battery life, and functionality compared to the Android Open Source Project platform. The Paranoid Android team and contributors are focusing on squashing existing bugs, and implementing and improving features, performance, and stability. We are dedicated to providing a user experience with the stability that you can expect from stock ROMs with best-in-class performance and features to help you get the most out of your device.
Notice
As we are growing on our list of supported devices in each release, we require of a stronger build environment so we can speed up the compilation process for releases. Based on the actual Quartz 4 list, we support over 30 devices, which takes between 2 and 3 days for all the builds to be completed without counting possible compilation issues or rebuild needs, based on our current specs.
We kindly ask all of you that are in position to donate anything, to help and support us so we can provide better and faster build releases, as well as increase the download speed of our servers, all looking for your enjoyment.

The only reason you would need to install OOS first is if you're not on the latest firmware, and even then I believe someone packages the latest firmware so you can flash it in TWRP.
AWESOME ROM! THANKS @ZVNexus! Hands down it's smooth! :3
Thank you for maintaining OP3/T
I've been trying several Android 10 ROM since 2 months ago. First thing I notice, PA is smooooth
So far, I only have 1 issue. Since our device use hardware navigation key, it will be nice if there is a setting for that.
Swapping key, long press action, etc
Will you be keeping it maintained with monthly security updates?

That's something I'm working on, but is a lower priority. I have back as left by default because that's what OP does in stock, also Google for their Pixels.
At first sight the Rom feels very smooth, however Pulse notification doesn't work and for my taste it lacks on some customization options (status bar clock, fonts, HW keys menu and so on). I am very curious to look at the next steps.

Just tested Pulse, it works. Could you specify exactly what you mean? As for customization options I am actively working on porting the button customization. So far I have button backlight. Can't comment on fonts or status bar stuff though.
I want to give you some feedback for the ROM
1) Off screen gestures like draw V, O, >, < and || are missing.
2) Could you include an option to mute screenshot sound? It's very annoying to hear the sound everytime.
3) Button light, but I think that you will fix it soon
4) The charging text on lockscreen is very high compared to the two shortcut at the bottom.
You are probably aware of these, but I want to report anyway.
Thank you for this amazing rom and for maintain OP3.
Appreciate the efforts you made.
Up to my experience, both with ambient display on and off, and lift phone activated, by lifting the phone, or by double tapping the display, edge light doesn't show and display just wakes up. I've found no way to let the display show edge light. Thank you for your quick answer.

LineageOS needs no introductions. This is an unofficial port of Nougat for the LeapFrog Epic, a children's educational Android tablet released in 2015 yet still hasn't received a major operating system update since then, despite the Epic being (theoretically) capable of running anything newer than Kitkat, or perhaps even PostmarketOS for that matter.
- EVEN MORE IMPORTANT:
The ROM will only work with an unlocked bootloader which removes signature enforcement on both SP Flash Tool and whenever the tablet boots up. Links to the hacked preloader, LK and TWRP recovery image can be found here. Flashing these can be a risky proposition so it is advised to do a full EMMC backup of the device prior to modding your Epic. A backup procedure can be found on this blog post.
- IMPORTANT:
You should only flash Magisk via TWRP as updating or installing it via the manager will cause a boot loop. In case you end up with such an issue just flash the ROM again and you should be fine.
Also, this does not come with a kids' mode UI and will cut you off from LeapFrog online services such as the App Centre and the Academy programme. You may however download the LeapFrog Academy app from the Play Store (assuming you installed an OpenGapps package, duh...) Whether it is possible to bring back the kids and parents launcher along with some services through a flashable zip is yet to be determined, but that wouldn't be a priority issue for now.
Installation instructions
- Unlock the bootloader and install TWRP
- Boot to TWRP by pressing volume up + power
- Wipe system, data and cache
- Install the LineageOS zip you just downloaded
- ...
- PROFIT!

Thanks guys! I'm actually tempted to port Pie or 10 to the Epic based on the efforts of one dude who did a similar feat on his Galaxy S2, but I thought it would be a monumental task especially with 10 requiring system-as-root.

Thanks! We actually tried using your kernel at some point but that proved to be a pain to set up, so we decided to just kang the kernel sources and blobs off @Stricted's ttab build instead.
That being said we do need some aid on optimising the build though, but this is hampered by the fact that not everyone has an Epic with them, not unless they have kids who outgrew this device lol.

I'm going to help if possible, but bare in mind without having a test device its extremely hard to aid in this well.

That wont be possible, did you also get to confirm that the device is entering deep sleep state , an not stuck in Partial Wake Lock.

If the device is not then battery will suffer.
Try by adding smart kernel manager app an check deep sleep state after screen is off a minute or so an then back on.
On first screen menu theirs a CPU uptime listing, check if no deep sleep is listed .

I'll see what I can do.
Lol that spam wasn't expected.
Anyway, I'd like to continue on with this, but my friends and I do need help in regards to the issues I outlined in the first page.
Nice work!
Is this a practically usable build, or more of an experimental project? My son (5 1/2yrso) has an Epic and I'm terribly frustrated at how dated it has become simply because of KitKat rather than the actual hardware. I wanted to put PBS Kids Games app on it this morning and it's giving me an about Crosswalk Project Services. I tried manually installing that and it still just doesn't work.
If this is just an experimental project, is there anything post-KitKat that would be for me?
Thanks, and again, Great Work!

Apologies for the late reply, but I've been busy lately with various other matters so I haven't really had the time to tend to this project. It is for the most part functional, but battery life is abysmal and hardware video codecs are for some reason not working.

We are very excited to announce the alpha of Paranoid Android Sapphire, based on Android 12.
You can find all of the Paranoid Android wallpapers and many more in the Abstruct app from the PlayStore.

Device-specific issues
You tell me.
There are likely many other issues, these are just the most prominent to me. Don't come into this with the expectation any issue you come across will be fixed in a timely manner.
Requirements
Make sure you are on 12.0.4 firmware before flashing. 12.5 and up is generally not recommended for any roms
Download
You can always get our Alpha builds from our Telegram Releases Channel (requires registration on telegram) or directly download them from here: POCO X3 Pro Download
Note: Custom kernels are NOT supported unless the kernel supports PA and GMS is included!

Is this the first CAF based ROM?
I'm using conquer os, I will test this one.
does this rom already contain google apps?
no gravity kernel work on it?
Is this riced build. The previous one was not riced right.
Banking apps claiming that the device is rooted, but it's not. (and it's not related to unlocked bootloader either because i never encountered it on any other ROM previously)
It's passing SafetyNet homever, weird.

Same problem. Don't wanna use magisk. Fortnite refuses to load.
Devs reply in his telegram channel-
Foxtrot47 | Updates
Apps detecting root (without installing magisk obv) is likely due to build being Userdebug i didn't build user purposefully cuz some games like GRID was crashing on it. Will debug it and see

Blaster is actually detected by apps when i tested but jone of apps can use it. So it is only partially not working. How ghout touches on no gravity? Use mochi now and have no more but always looking for something new
Thank you
is there a chance for a full translation into Polish? there is a lot of text in the settings not translated into Polish. It's a pity, because the rom at the moment is definitely the best and runs very smoothly.

This rom has support for OTA updates. If you plan to stick around with PA, your feedback will be appreciated on our new OTA system. We're consistently testing full and incremental OTA updates.
Key Features
- Face unlock support
- A slew of Pixel exclusive features
I think your link goes to the Pixel 6 Pro (raven) page. While I'm running my unofficial LOS builds on a 7 (panther) and probably won't flash AOSPA, I don't see Pixel 7/7 Pro builds on your site.
Yeah the link does go to raven builds and no PANTAH is showing as available at all on your website yet. I have just noticed the builds are available on Telegram though
Fixed, the website didn't get updated until the threads were posted
thanks for sharing
Wow! Many thanks to the team. I'm going to test
Been a really really really long time since I've used Paranoid Android, might've been the Nexus 6P days, so I'll definitely give this a shot shortly.
Edit: So far, everything just works. 1080p is janky with the fingerprint sensor, so turn your display to 1440p and it'll work fine. Apart from that, yeah. Everything just works really. Nothing really stands out or is anything like when they first rebranded, but it's also a first release. Just clean and polished.
For those not sure how to flash, I used the fastboot version, flashed stock, booted into bootloader, fastboot update aospa-topaz-beta-1-cheetah-20221119-image.zip and it'll handle the rest.
Is calling and 5g support working?

We have a few pretty cool things like Face unlock and full fledged OTA support atm but we're more focused on establishing the basic necessities for now, but we do have some innovative stuff in the pipeline, just takes time to work on. Glad everything is working for you (ill probably make 1440p the default until i sort out whatever that is with fp in 1080p).
Hello PA allow 32 bit app ?
can you please provide more info on features? how is it different from the stock rom?
Awesome!! If possible can we get DC Dimming on the Pixel 7 Pro?
