Favorite App, and Favorite Game?

What is your favorite Application, and what is your favorite game? I work in a sprint (of course, lol) retail store, and am looking to put some more apps/games on my phone to show people when they ask about the app market. I think, so far, I get the most "oh wow!" from google sky maps, lol... What apps do you use on a daily basis? Or what game do you play on a daily basis? Thanks in advance for the input!

i'd like to say wireless tether... but uhh.... haha
i think abduction world attack is my favorite game, i mean, you can't beat a jumping cow.
not sure about favorite app, but people seem to be really into sense ui. show it off by telling them about the widgets and stuff like the notification bar pull-down and multitasking. all my friends think cause of that, it's better than an iphone at least.

I would agree with this. more than any individual app I use the widgets included in sence more than anything.
if I had to choose something I would have to say game and app in one would be "a world of photos" great way to kill time with people around the world also I have a 2 year old so I find myself letting her play a game called "Touch! for kids" great way to entertain a little one for a good 30 min at least.

defly agree w/ ToonWarz but I also throw Home Run Battle in there for those running 2.1..

Haven't tried toon warz...will have to give it a whirl!

The game is now on the wapsop for 4.99 full HD version not the 2d.

It's Gameloft, I'm 100% sure there is (but to make it clear - didn't test Gameloft Shop version). But bro, it's not a big bug you know, I've completed that game today, of course with closing touchpanel when needed, but it's still much fun with that game. And it's Spidey!

I never experienced the bug with saving citizens, but I've purchased the wap store version and saved two citizens without issue. Believe circle was the button used to save the citizen

Hows the gameplay on this wapshop version compared to the play store 1.1.0?
I hope they fixed the graphics and those bugs.

I just played the wapshop version, I haven't play the v1.1.0 so I'm not sure whats the difference between them. The wapshop version is proper optimize for our Play, it does lag somtimes (not sure if its just my Play) but its still playable.

Well problems in the v1.1.0 is that there is a bug where 'slide to do something' (e.g jumping over the car at the bank robbery) does not appear unless you slide the gamepad in. Also there is a bug where you cannot use both touchpads at the same time. I also had a problem (well I think it could be a bug) where if you abandon the mission where you fight lizard without the power to web swing (you lose it), then no story missions will be shown on the map and you still won't be able to web swing.

Of course this is the Saudi wapstore so, you might need to change to your country (change the /sa/ )
EDIT: You might need to find your phone from the your model option, sorry. You'll find the game though

w4lkm4n did you go on the wapshop through your pc or your phone, because I tried going on the wapshop in my pc and the game didn't show up unless I go on it with my Play.
HussainQ, the bug you just mention doesn't happen in this version. Saving people, dodging cars etc, they are all using the Play buttons. The circle touch pad also works great along with d-pad. Touch screen can't be use in this game except for upgrading.

So what button do I press for my bug? And for the touch pad, I meant using the left one to move and the right one for camera movement at the same time (no d-pad involved).

Good day everyone, I just purchased the game at Gameloft wapshop for Xperia Play. The version is 1.0.7.
Currently, I only noticed a couple of bugs.
The first one is regarding buying items. Tapping the Map does not do anything. If I have to buy items from the shop, I'll just press the menu button to access it and remove the message. But the arrow pointing the map kind of disturbs me.
But the worst bug yet that I have encountered is during one of the missions, where you have to deactivate 4 bombs. After arriving at one of the bombs, an icon appears. I think you have to touch this in order to deactivate the bomb. Unfortunately, it does nothing. All other buttons does nothing as well. I'm kind of stuck in this mission.
The game play for me is ok. Sometimes it is laggy, but most of the time, the game is manageable.
I hope you guys won't experience the bugs I have experienced, and if you have solutions to the bugs, please post it. Thanks!

Yes, and unfortunately, it did not solve it.

Deathsmiles out now - Not XPO optimized

I hate to bring up games that aren't Xperia Play optimized but what I'm wondering is: is it possible to set up the controls with gamekeyboard? I've never been too good with GKB and have not been able to figure out how to configure a profile with a game that allows a full range of touch movement. None of the Cave games are optimized but Deathsmiles seemed like a logical choice being a hori. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and for anyone wondering the lite version had no slowdown on my device so much like Resurrection the game should run just fine even with more bullets thrown at you in later levels.

The lite version of DDP Resurecction ran fine on my XP. To be honest, I ain't even mad this game isn't XPO because it controls like a dream! Just get it seriously, if you remotely like shmups you can't go wrong with Cave. Also, dat soundtrack:

Is Bug Panic any good? I'm honestly not that in to Deathsmiles so without optimization I'd say it's far out of my price range.

Plays well, but has on screen controls, with the movement one being adjustable.
You can leave it as stuck(original), smart(you touch the screen somewhere, they will appear), or autocorrect,, which I dunno, lets you move with depending on where you touch.
G-Gee / Cave won't optimise Deathsmiles, I just can't see it.
Besides the onscreen controls work like a pad anyway, so movement etc is fine.

sad to hear that. The game was actually built entirely using HTML + JS, hence some sort of lag is expected, just hope that it is not too bad.

The best thing I think I have ever bought! Has a few software quirks but is solid . Especially the tracking(hand, head and your physical location in space). Side loading any APK via Oculas Screen is a god send. My brain has a hard time remembering it not reality. And there a lot of games and apps already via oculas and third-parties. Can't recommend it more. Got to be seen to be believed.

Absolutely love it. I got to test it a while before it was released, and I absolutely knew I needed to have one. Beat Saber is amazing, and everyone that I've shown it to was really impressed.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get robo recall to load, so there seem to be a few bugs waiting to be ironed out (might be because I'm traveling between Europe and the US, and the store had some issues with the location?)

I Must say iv loving the quest so far. coming from a psvr the freedom of no wires is amazing. somebody has already mentioned the sidequest pc app, the helps you upload and download software from your quest, also gives you access to the full android on the quest, so you can link Bluetooth joypads and head phones. my quest also had 5 hidden demos of which 2 still worked this was taking up about 2Gb of storage and i could remove them via the full settings app which i now have access to. i have also loaded on some 3D Movies and find that skybox was the best app to view them, with it, its easy to select SBS or Under/Over and the soundtrack. As for Games Beatsaber already allows for custom tracks using the Questsonginstaller, iv not get over 100 tracks on my quest. and as for emulation, i really like the Virual Boy Emulator of Oculus Go which works perfect on quest in full 3D, but you do need to pair a Bluetooth controller to use it. but its great. As for the normal quest games, Vader Immortal, Face Your Fears 2 and Robo Recall are the main ones iv tried. they are all great, the tracking was great and now been able to do full room scale was a game changer for me. the games make visual compromises to get them working, but still looked good and ran great for me. if a new games was coming to both PSVR and QUEST i would get the quest version not just for the ease of setup and the visual hit was`t that much of a deal for me.
Thats about it, iv loving it so far, there are still a few more quest games i want come payday. If you want to try any of the above things above like me, i recommend looking up a tutorial on youtube and they tend to have all the links you need in the description.

A fair number of them can actually be pulled via adb and sideloaded on the quest

I was in 2 minds about the quest or the rift s.
so glad i went with this - as if you sideload ALVR its basically a wireless Rift as well. And i have essentially a mobile VR gaming console - i can take it to a field and simply go mad!!
simply love it! jsut need to know how to pair bluetooth gamepads ?

just search for the APK file and OBB if needed
sideload the apk and copy over the OBB (if needed)

I have a very annoying issue. Probably anybody faced it and found a solution.
Sometimes Moss and Robo Recall which I bought in the store ceasing to launch and shows the three dots loader infinitely. It fixes only after reinstalling. So I lost saves every time.

Try using the patched apk and obb files - they work fine for me on robocall
so ironic how the pirate versions work better than the versions you pay for in many cases lol

you bring up a very interesting point with regards to piracy and FB.
You almost think....by making this thing on Android, and making it so easy to register as a developer and sideload apps - they have made it almost too easy to simply sideload games rather than pay some of the exageratingly overpriced tags!
Some of the games are extremely good IMO - namely:
Superhot
Creed
Sairento
Vadar Immortal.
there are many more which are very good also.
Yes the porn is scarey - i have stopped using it for fear of developing expectations in real life which are unattainable looool

So far I am pretty impressed with this headset. One thing I do not like is the head strap that comes with it. Totally ruins the whole experience for me. My HTC Vive is pretty much obsolete compared to the headsets I have now, so I used my 3D printer to print some adapters and put my Vive headstrap with the integrated headphones on my Oculus Quest and it is so much more comfortable. I wish the library for apps and games available were a little more robust, but overall they have some really good games that showcase this headset. Last night I just realized I could turn guardian completely off, so I was able to enjoy playing Red Matter while sitting comfortably in my recliner without my legs activating guardian because I was out of the play area. I did not think I would be enjoying this headset as much as I have been. It's not perfect, but definitely worth what I paid, for what it is.

Hey buddy - if you use sidequest you can sideload all sorts of developer apps.
as you had a Vive i would recommend you use ALVR - this will enable you to use the quest as if it was a Vive or a Rift and play all your PC games with it - and the best thing is it works wirelessly!

I have used sidequest to load Root Explorer, Virtual Desktop, and a settings.apk I found for android online, to access some of the extra settings that are initially hidden. Not that there is much you can actually do, with out rooting and/or installing TWRP or something. I tried using Virtual Desktop to use the Quest wirelessly like a Vive or a Rift, but I was not really pleased with the performance, and I had my PC wired directly to the router. I also have a fairly decent PC so I think its more of the app performance than an issue with my PC, which can probably be improved with updates overtime. I was thinking about trying ALVR in the next day or so to see how it is. Virtual Desktop was not bad, but I was hoping to have a little bit better graphics fidelity. I really hope we will get root eventually.

I wouldn't recommend VD to do what you want to do.
ALVR works seemlessly and i can play all my VR PC games on my quest perfectly.
ALVR is not intended as a VD solution - it is specifiacally to use with Steam VR/Oculus and in a sense simply tricks your pc into thinking you have connected a Rift or Vive headset and then displays and lets you play accordingly.
Remember to set the height offset to 15 otherwise it will look like you are on the floor....lol
