Guys, is any who have kitkat and playing dead trigger or have any other sound sync problem? I have sound delay when playing dead trigger. Sound of gun and any others come later then video effect. On 4.3 i havent problem. When i reading about this i saw problem on some newer sony phones and tablets, but with no solutions. What this causes?

Actually, it's not just for Sony phones or tablets.
My Nexus 7 (2012) also suffered the same issue when it is upgraded to KK, and thus, I think it's the problem inside KK source code...

Is there a fix for this yet its really annoying I contacted Sony support to be told they have never heard of this issue and to send my Xperia M2 in for repair.

hi guys just new here in the xperia l development.
these are the things i wanted to know about our phone:
1. what is the differences between firmware c2104 and c2105?
2. is it possible to flash c2104 firmware to c2105 device? will the phone get bricked if we flash c2104's firmware to c2105?

The only major difference between the C2104/5 firmwares is the baseband, the part of software which operates signal reception.
You can flash C2104 firmware to a C2105 device (or vice versa) without having any issues, it will not brick.
But it is best to remain on the firmware for your own country for reasons related to the baseband-but it really does not matter tbh.
On a side note, the Xperia L forums feel so quiet, coming from the buzzing 2011 forums this forum almost feels dead.
I agree, the chatter has died quite suddenly.
I wonder if it is because of Sony's atrocious customer support?

Yea probably. The Xperia L and M just don't have the popularity they deserve-they are not bad phones, just lack a good customer base in terms of numbers. Also the fact that Sony has kept quite about updates may put people off.
I do like my L, although at times it does freeze up.
That is why I like a removable battery, when others on Sony's Google± Fanpage mocked me because of this.
When it freezes, I take off my case (Nillken), take off back cover, remove battery.
Then, put it all back together.
My biggest gripe is NFC; having lots of problems connecting via NFC their NFC Bluetooth headset (SBH-20) and speaker (BX-500), both of which I like very much.
Now, just connect via Bluetooth, all is okay. But Iike using NFC to connect and disconnect devices!!

Anyone else seeing this when they pull up the app? Hope it gets fixed before the World Cup.

I just updated my Xperia Z C6606 and after the update I have the exact problem. I believe they should be related. Audio works without a problem but the image is gray and it has 3 really small squares that show parts of the video stream. I have installed and uninstalled multiple times but I have the same issue. I did a factory reset this morning but problem continues. I have researched the problem but this post is the only thing I could find. Currently running Android 4.3.
New update again.
4.4.3 didn't fix the audio bug when recording videos (that background hiss or noise that we could hear if there was no noises or voices).
Can people check now again with the new update?
Thanks.
unfortunately my nexus told me he is up to date with 4.4.3 :<
Anyone else?
Just flash the factory images if you're so worried about something like this.
Not fixed in 4.4.4

I don't have the Nexus 5.
Had it and returned it due to this issue. That's why I'm asking again, but just like the guy above said it's not fixed, so it's definitely a hardware issue, just like I suspected.
Shame.

It's not "definitely a hardware issue ". Them not fixing it doesn't mean it's hardware. All symptoms point to software.
Google haven't even acknowledged an issue and that is why it's not fixed.

No, it does not fix it.
Can you please make a recording and show us? A fan makes a nice sound to hear what is wrong.
This is the Nexus 5 on 4.4.4 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tzrClyzqE8
and this is the Samsung Note 4.1.2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v-a_O09Gj-w
Placed at the same location, give or take a centimeter.
I've just done the recording with a Samsung S and a ZTE blade at the exact same spot but I have yet to upload it but they sound as normal as the Note and not like the Garble from the Nexus 5.

Well... I remember that i HAD this thing on stock and in earlier slimkat builds (it was like underwater with sound distortions). And this patch fixed the problem. Just to be sure if i don't have placebo or smth i put stock mic settings. But(!) i couldn't get this on latest slimkat build! Videos recorded with Google Camera app.
with fix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-QbNpZDrFk&feature=youtu.be
w/o fix: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lnO478hxRqs&feature=youtu.be
You can hear that with fix it sounds more clear and less loud, but w/o it sounds like i'm trying to smash table by my fingers (very loud and little echo). Distance between sound source and telephone is minimal.
Weird.
If it was software it should have been already fixed.
Google is aware of the issue because on their forums there was a huge thread about this issue since November, and the moderators said they were aware of this issue and were working on it.

It's a hardware problem a lot of Nexus 5 have, as you guys can see on the link to the google webpage.
Software problem. Encoder and noise cancellation

You've been saying that always, but I haven't seen any developer fix it with a patch.
Not even Google has fixed it with updates. Do you really believe the all powerful Google can't fix it? They have great software engineers and developers, yet still no solution.
In the Google forums everyone keeps saying it's a hardware problem and I believe that.
It looks like Google won't/can't fix the issue, so it's not software, or they could have already fixed it.
Well exactly 0 of the symptoms point to a hardware issue. If it was a hardware issue, why haven't they updated the nexus 5 with a new microphone?

Same reason LG hasn't updated the bad GPS of the G2 or the antenna location to fix the cell reception issues.
Same reason Apple didn't update the antenna issue on the iPhone 4 until the next model iPhone 4S.
Same reason OnePlus won't update the screens on their phone to fix the yellow tint issue.
Same reason they haven't updated the Nexus 5 to include a stronger vibration motor.
Same reason they haven't updated the Nexus 7 2013 with a new screen to fix the touchscreen issue.
Enough with the software issue seriously.
Here is a video after watching it give me feedback
Did you guys experience what I experience?

I thing i have same opinion with you, but it happened on my KitKat, not in jellybean
Not sure on jellybean because cuz I get m2 a day before update.
Anyone else experience this issue?

Plz test this out I need to make sure this is a software or hardware problem cuz if its hardware related then I need to sent it for repair.

try for flashing latest/final jellybean 4.3 update, i can't sure but i got that problem in kitkat
or you should wait sony for releasing their upgrade for touchpad
But still, just 2 people having this problem doesnt convince me this is kitkat bug yet. I need more people to confirm this issue then this is officially a bug.
Who knows if this is actually a hardware bug?
Sent from my D2303
I need more response from m2 users..plz plz help me. I am begging you guys plz look into this issue.
Sent from my D2303
I have the same issue but it's not a real bug.
Finally someone, I agree with you its not really that a big prob, but it's annoying.
Sent from my D2303
I think it's only a little software bug .
I can't view the video, as Youtube is not available in China. Is it about the insensitive screen that sometimes have to be touched 2 - 3 times for getting a response?
After the 5.1.1 update my speakers have become almost useless. Everything sounds weak. Music, notifications, calls, everything! Anybody knows any workaround i can do without root or reverting back to 5.0? Thanks guys. This is really frustrating. ?

I haven't used the phone underwater or washed it for about a month now btw. So the speaker membranes aren't wet for sure. Anyone can help?

I've experienced the same. It's not just you. In fact, I downgraded back to Kitkat because I couldn't take it anymore. And audio from the Walkman player is much better through headphones on KK too.

This sucks because everything seems to work fine except just this speaker issue. Will try to revert back to 5.0 or 4.4 as well maybe.

You know, I think I'm happier overall on 4.4.4. Better audio quality. Better battery life. Very fast and snappy feel. I like the recent apps behavior more. One thing I do miss are the Smart Lock options but that's about it.
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention the too sensitive auto screen rotating in 5.1.1. Ridiculous!
