was location services activated when your tablet lost?
if yes then log in to google in desktop

It must not be turned on for any of my tablet. I have three, but Google says I don't have any location history for the last three weeks.

... then go buy a new one (I'm sure the police will be pretty useless about this).
Next time, be sure to load Android Device Manager onto it (in fact, try doing that NOW- if the thief hasn't wiped it and is online (doubtful) it'll load from the Network and you might be able to determine its location).

Hello, yes i have heard it does not work, i don't know why as the files are there, but go to this link on your phone to get the most recent update.

Link in app not working, i double checked URL with the one you gave here and it all seems to be EXACT
I used goo.gl to shorten it incase there was a mistake, and then it worked

Does this work on jellybean and link is broken.
I can receive texts no problem, but when I go to type a new text (and this may be a keyboard issue) it allows me to type one or two letters, before the keyboard just goes away off the screen and I have to wait a few seconds and then click back into the textbox in order to continue typing.
This issue is occurring for me on the MB860. Has anyone else experienced this or know of a workaround?
That sometimes happens, maybe it's just an android bug, I'd suggest you get Hacker's keyboard it is very good and never crashes.

AWESOME!!
Now I am running into one other small problem (and this I am sure is user error).
When I click on the phone and look at my contacts I am showing the same contact multiple times. But if I click on the 'contacts' icon, it shows accurate contacts/numbers etc.
What setting changes this?

Is it like you click on a name, and it shows you another persons' contacts or is it just you wrote it more than once?

It's like I entered Jo Jones --- 1111111111 in there 5 times, and it does this with multiple contacts.

Well, you should eiter reset your contacts, get another contacts app, delete the multiple contacts or I dunno . Maybe a restart will help

I didn't see a way to delete the duplicate contacts. Anytime I click on them it calls, or if I click the settings button there is only an add option.
And a phone reboot didn't work That was the 1st thing I attempted, lol

Long pressing does nothing. Let me try to use the proper terminology here...my "Dialer" is showing incorrect contact info but my "Contact" app is showing the correct contact info.
Should I try to get another Dialer...is that possible?

I think you can have two dialers at once. If not just remove the old one. Try installing it first cause without a dialer your os may malfunction.

I will give that a twirl and see how it works out. I am currently using CWM to make a full back-up just in case I get a little to trigger happy and mess something up.

I actually decided to get to the root of this problem and I took a look at my google contacts since I was loading the contacts from google. Somehow all my contacts were duplicated (some triplicated) in google contacts. I updated google contacts and now they are only pulling in once.
Now I still can't figure out how to modify a contact in the Dialer that ships with CM10.1 epinter tho.
Also -- Is there a way to keep your phone brightness @ max when it is charging? I can't seem to get that setting right either.

now when I see the weather i says how much C it have. but no "clear" or "rain". just the C nummbers and thats it. after it I have: -

With respect to the Daily commute times and schedules/directions, I believe that there's a 5km minimum between distances. I live about 2km from where I work and I NEVER see those cards (e.g. Time to Work, Time to Home)
That is just a total guess though. Like I said, I personally don't see those commute time cards anymore, except when I am indeed far away from Home. I do see other cards such as "Time to Restaurant XYZ" constantly.

Ah, well why don't you try, if you haven't already, clearing Google Search cache and data. The reason I'm suggesting this is because Google Now is part of Google Search.

Hello Everyone!
So today I went online to the google play store to download an app, and noticed there was a random device (Samsung GT-I9300) showing up in the drop down menu. I went to device manager and it says it was registered 4 days ago with T-Mobile. There are a number of issues with this:
1) I'm on Telus
2) I don't own a Samsung GT-I9300.. I only own an htc one and nexus 7.
Both my htc one and nexus 7 show up in the list just fine, but there is still this random phone connected to my account. Should I be concerned? And if so, what should I do? Is there a way to remove it, not just hide it?

Then unless you've given access to someone knowingly, it would be a good idea to change your password.
I suppose you can contact Google after doing that and ask for more information.

This recently happened to me and freaked me out too. Until I did a bit of research and backtracked my timeline a bit. Turns out it was Bluestacks on windows. So if you recently installed and logged into your google account on the bluestacks player, this is the device that will be added.
I hope that helps any other future googlers

I continously find weird and new folders on my phone whose content seem fishy to say the least. I feel like my husband has hacked my phone just from looking at some of the files content. Please help me decode. Thank you.

yea logs are your systems way of checking how your system is doing.
If you open one up it'll probably list the time, and what you did on that time frame.

Apparently the other files I attached didnt go through. Those are the ones I'm really taking about. They are for Microsoft sky something.

Yes I am aware of that. But how are logs for microsoft sky accounts and/or sent data on my phone when I dont use any thing Microsoft on my phone.

I meant joined up here on xda. someone made a post about malware a couple of days ago and said his wife had an A11 and was worried about files on her phone.
