[Q] XDA experts: Can I Renew my Tab 2 P3100 by Latest Firmware

Hello......
I had rooted my tab 2 (4.1.1) by Auto cf method using Odin 3.07. I had used triangle away to set counter flash zero. Then I completely unrooted it from superSu options. Then i wipe data/factory reset and then also done a factory reset from settings options. I wasnt able to update through OTA. it shows your device is modified updates are not available. I checked My device status is still custom after unroot and no custom rom was installed.
Now I had downloaded Official firmware (4.1.2) for my Tab from Sammobile.com.
I wants to know if i flash this official firmware through Odin 3.07 can i get back my tab as like purchased it first and my device status can changed to official. Can I get my Warranty back.

Just flash any OFICIAL Samsung release (4.0.4 - 4.1.1 or 4.1.2) :laugh:

Yes buddy.just clear data,flash firmware you will download.
And finally check flash counter(it must be zero).
Once you do all that you are done and can claim warranty!!!!

I need AN OFFICIAL SAMSUNG RELEASED STOCK ROM Of GB 2.3.6 or 2.3.5 or 2.3.4 for Samsung GT-i9003 with Full arabic Language support

ty for responding but this thread says [ROM] STOCK ROMS for GALAXY SL I9003 {NOW GINGERBREAD 2.3.6 my phone is S I9003 not SL or it's the same ???

This is 2.3.6 but no, I'm not sure how the installation is done, sorry.
However, if you'd like.. try DDLF2. Follow the exact instructions. I hope you know how to flash stock firmwares using Odin? If not, PM me. And then root it.
Once you're done rooting the firmware, flash this via Clockwork Mod recovery. If you don't know how, again, PM me.
Then, flash this. It's got Arabic support and plus other cool mods like swipe to clear notifications and more.

ty for ur great help i already flashed it by odin i i putted the file on PDA cell then i flashed on download mode but i can't root the mobile and i found firmware for Egypt i flashed it too but i couldn't root it also plus i can't use the MMS service coz when i try to install the configuration sms that sent to me by service provider (failed)

i could be wrong but dont you have to only download the 4.3 update from sammobile.com (correct phone for your phone/country specifically), get the latest version of odin and flash it from there? you dont need root right? just download mode.

Why is he wrong? Backup EFS -> Get matching 4.3 stock firmware --> flash it via odin.

I've just bought a new Samsung S2 I9105P 8GB with 4.1.2 installed on it and I want to put a new custom rom on it like 4.2.2. Could someone help me with this ? Which is the better for apps, gaming, battery life etc. Will I loose the guaranty of the phone ?

One of the best choices would be Cyanogenmod 11 (android 4.4.2). You might want to check it out here.

There are a lot of links bud. Dunno which is the good one to download. And don't know how to install it...

Hello there and welcome, I recently joined as well and it's fun around here, I found out about cool apps I didn't even had idea and more importantly the roms available.
First things first I would recommend you to document yourself a bit about rooting, flashing to have a better idea of how this works, it's not complicated at all.

it voids guaranty, but you can can return to normal by flashing the stock version.

I recommend you Odin 3.07, and if you want to install cyanogenmod 11 4.4.2 by cooldevelopment you don't need to follow the root steps because this room comes pre-rooted, the steps of installing the rom are the same as in the screenshots showing how to root, but you must wipe factory reset, wipe cache and dalvik from advanced.

Of course ur warranty will be lost if u use other version of software but not the official one. And of course u can downgrade to the offcial software for ur warranty to get back . U can get official versions from here http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9105P and use Odin to flash them, just pay attention to the country CSC.
If u want to install CM11 or other unofficial versions i recomend u to NOT do that....Not yet...There are some bugs to solve. I flashed them almost all and i'm back to official .
And if u still want to flash unofficial, please PAY ATTENTION AND FOLLOW STEPS CARREFULLY and do some research first...a lot of Youtube chanels that teach u how.
Goodluck and nice choice over the phone. I wouldnt trade mine for anything

There is no 4.3 official, stock 4.2.2 is good and custom cm11 is nice ROM.

Yes ...there is no 4.3 or above for S2 plus...and i guess ur CSC is from Romania...upgrade ur phone to the last 4.2 firmware and u will have good battery life also. Upgrade ur phone from menu and not using Odin with custom firmware.

p.s. nu merge de loc din meniu.. cum sa fac update mai usor la 4.2.2 stock ?

Cel mai simplu, dai jos firmware de pe samfirmware si pui cu ODIN. Intrebarea mea e: daca am 4.2.2 si flashuiesc cu ODIN tot 4.2.2, o sa inceapa sa apara erori in aplicatiile instalate?

Perform a Clean Installation..its recommended

but if i put stock rom 4.2.2 i won't loose my guaranty, true ?
