Hello Experts,
I am fan of XDA forums. I have rooted XOLO Q 800. Awesome phone.:good: But now I bough new Oplus XONPHONE 5.
This is also a nice gadget with following specifications.
Dual SIM Dual Standby
Quad-Core 1.3 GHz Cortex A7 MTK 6582
Ram-1 GB
Internal Memory-16 GB
and also flooded with unwanted apps. I wan to root this device. I have tried may apps available on the forums, but nothing is working for this one.
Other brands in same category i.e. Mircomax A106 which has MTK6582M, XOLO Q1010I - MTK 6582 and Samsung Galaxy Core 2- MTK 6582.
Can any one suggest if I root XONPHONE 5 with root methods available for above mentioned devices as they have MTK 6582 common. Is that safe and will be a successful root?

If you are into custom ROM’s there are no custom ROMS available for this as of now, but if you want to root the XonPhone 5 tho, you can use the TowelRoot method to root it. I’ll link a thread on XDA with the tutorial here (http://forum.xda-developers.com/microma ... st55396787 )

I just bought hcl me y2 tablet phone ....it cool but has issues with software .I have a gtab 10.1 fully rooted with custom rom , I want the same for my me y2 is it possible and has anyone really done it .please help. Is SU working properly?
Is not bootloader of Y2 locked?
I tried unlockroot once but shows problem in the middle of the process.

Keep it coming ... A few things though:
1. the simcard seems to be locked down ... even after resetting ...
2. Every once in a while with the sd card inside the device reboots itself ... the dreaded cold reset!
But otherwise its working like a dream. Freedom from HCL finally!
Awesome UI ...
But reboot automatically every 5-10 minutes ...
SIM is not working ...

rooted my phone through VROOT. it did work but im still trying to see where to get CMW for this. btw, i followed instructions over the web cause it seems like we dont have that much info about lenovo a316i in here. i mean for rooting... I only saw one article that has lenovo a316i and thats http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2798542 other than that everything is blur or not clear.

I've succesfully ROOTED my phone with Vroot. Uninstall all system software that not using. It works flawlessly.

After rooting my phone I was able to use it okay for some couple of days. after that it messed up the battery. I don't know what to do. even on 58% it would turn off if somebody calls as if its low battery. now i don't use it anymore. its stocked up somewhere in our drawers.

I tried before on a Ascend P2 various Chinese apk for rooting and found 2 working but do't remember which, you should search on Baidu market, snap pea or other Chinese and you will find for sure, when opening the application usually there are 3 options , buttons to choose , root, reroot , unroot or a short explanation of the process , but mostly in Chinese language .
Personally I like Kingroot , but it doesn't root every device .
Most antivirus detect them as virus or dangerous and suspicious, that is clearly because to gain root access they exploited the security that shields that , it is normal .
