Hi, I recently installed CarbonROM to my S3 mini i1890 with Android 4.4.4 and I can't seem to reconenct my device to my PC. It doesn't seem to find the device.
However, my device connects via Blutooth and I can send files from there. However this doesn'r resolve my problem. I am trying to put all of my contacts etc back onto my Flashed device via Kies but it won't recognize it. can't seem to find a way to send the file manually either via blutooth either.
Reflashing back to stock ROM is not an option. I could enter them all manually and it will be faster then reinstalling all the other stuff.
If anyone has any way around it. Please post. Thanks

Ahh I did backup with Titanium but I never understood it as the app would be uninstalled anyway. Maybe it was cloud storage. Not sure. I'll try it though. Thanks.
Hmm no that didn't work. Seems like the contacts are incompatible now that I have the new ROM installed. Gave me tons of errors constatnly so I had to clear the data for the two contact apps. Then it works fine. Lost my other 2 contacts I added before though lol :/
Is there anyway to analyse these files on a PC?

I would hazard a guess that your issue is KIES. Try disabling, or unistalling it. Also have you checked to make sure that your USB Cable is good ? Have you tried a different USB Cable ? Did you try a different PC ? I would also suggest checking out the links below. As the members there have the same device, and can better assist you you with your device. The first one is to the Forum for your device. The second is to the specific section where you can ask questions for your particular device.

Hello everyone,
I just joined this forum and i need some help.
I've got a very wierd problem with my samsung galaxy tab 2 7.0
Tablet: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 GT-P3110 model.
Android: ver. 4.1.2
So the story behind my tablet is that my dad bought it when he working in another country, when he came back he told me that he had a broken galaxy tab 2 and he asked me to try to fix it,the problem he reported was that the tablet sometimes restarts, alot of programs have crashes and the wierdest thing is that, when I turn it off and then turn on the device (or simply restart it) the system is restored to some earlier state, this includes:
1. Apps I've deleted are still installed.
2. Widgets or app shortcuts on 'home' pages are still on their old place though I've rearranged them.
3. Same with wallpapers.
4. Same with settings.
So i tried the following:
1. Factory reset + cache clean. Even though it is supposed to be a full system wipe, it doesn't work.
2. Reinstalling a Stock ROM via ODIN. Doesn't work either and it takes about an hour to do...it says it was successful but it doesn't change anything in the tablet.
Also there is a notice in android recovery, which states:
did not match sized '/system/csc/common/system/csc/feature.xml' (no data available)
This device wasn't rooted.
So i you would ask you guys for some help, thanks.

My line of thought is that if you do root it, you can format the system partition which would more than likely fix this issue. But like I said, more than likely, there's no guarantee because it might be a hardware issue. Have you considered sending it in for repair? Since it's not rooted they would do it. If you don't care to send it in and are just trying stuff to see if you can get it working again, then rooting it wouldn't hurt anything. But that's your choice.

OK, so here's where just rooting won't help. You have two options: 1) Find the stock ROM at Samsung and have it on your SD card. Or 2) choose another ROM. Whichever you choose is up to you. You're going to have to format your system in the custom recovery, by doing this your tab is wiped of all info including the stock ROM. If you format system you won't be able to boot into your tab without flashing another ROM after. If I'm repeating stuff you know, I apologize. You'll need the ROM you choose on your external sd card, because you'll want to completely format everything (except your ext sd). If you know all this, try it out and see if it helps. If you want to learn more and the steps, PM me, I'll help as much as I can!

Hi, i'm facing the same issue here. Then I've try to root the phone but failed. Can help me too Sir?
For now it can't repaired, It,s known as emmc brickbug, find the xda forum thru Playstore emmc brickbug check. In Indonesia there is website that claim can repair it by replacing the emmc chip/internal memory, but it's not proven yet, since no body in our Galaxy Tab 2 facebook group has confirmed it. More than 15 people in the group has reported this bug, and the only way to fix it is by replacing the mainboard in Samsung Service Center. I also have replaced my wife Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 mainboard with the same case. In Indonesia the cost is about US$100

Hey guys! This is my first time on the boards and of course, I'm in need of some big help. As of now, as the title states, I currently lack sim card functionality. Unfortunately, I believe this is in many ways is my fault as I was deleting some bloatware off my phone... the three that I deleted was the stock internet explorer, a T-Mobile application (forgot the name) and an app called "talk" all of which came on the phone. Everything was fine up until I restarted the phone. My phone is rooted. My backup failed, so I'm in the process of downloading the stock ROM, will that help? any info is appreciated at this point. Anyone has any idea on how to go about this?

Hey guys,
I have a Samsung Galaxy SIII GT-19300 8GB running on Anroid 4.3, rooted and custom ROM Manager installed. Recently all Google Play services have stopped working. I literally can't do anything. I can' t log in, can't use Youtube, can't open the Play store because it gives me the No connection- retry error, of course. I heard it was because of Freedom. I deleted the app and tried to re-install it... but I cannot even install apk files; not any kind of apk file. I tried to force-install it with an android terminal, but that doesn't work either. Aptoide also does not want to install anything. I basically deleted the cache for every google app & I uninstalled all updates; but all in vain. Nothing seems to work except for Whatsapp and the actual internet browser. Please help me, I really need my phone to work properly.
Thanks in advance, any kind of help is appreciated

Reflash Stock ROM via Odin (you wont lost anything on internal storage) or try flash any gapps for 4.x.x via custom recovery.

Download your stock ROM. Put it in your pc and then flash it using Odin.
U may also need to flash gapps using your custom recovery.

Ok. You have got the answer in this thread
But before that just try to do a factory data reset
If you have some important data, take a nandroid backup
And then do a factory data reset
And I may be a foolish in this but I am considering it because everything may be possible here, enable the background data if it is disable

Well, okay, I guess that's my only option, I have reflashed the Stock ROM and that hasn't fixed my problem either. Factory data reset it will be. I'll come back to you whenever I have done the data reset. I really hope this'll fix the problem, because I don't want to do a factory data reset at all. :/
I have a SPH-L720 from Sprint, it was running the 4.4.2 stock rom, the phone was unlucked and working under Movistar here in Mexico (i dont have idea of the method used for unlock the phone).
So, yesterday i rooted the phone without problems, installed de CWM recovery, made a backup of my stock rom, wiped data and cache and installed the cm-12.1-20150413-OPTIMIZED-jflte ROM (from this tutorial tinyulr .com/ooqye9s ), the install completed, i started the phone with no problems, proceeded to install the Gapps, and the phone was working good, my network and data worked (had internet, could make calls and send sms), but the phone drained the battery too quick and the camara had some issues, same thing with the dialer (i wasnt able to hang up a call, the red button didn't anything).
So i decided to download the CM Downloader app, search for an update and the app downloaded the "cm-12.1-20150625-NIGHTLY-jfltespr" ROM (i didn't saw or knew about the "JFLTESPR" part), the phone rebooted and installed the update, tha camera and the dialer problem disapeared but the phone didn't recognize the network anymore, it says "No SIM card". i tried to install the cm-12.1-20150413-OPTIMIZED-jflte ROM again, tried to restore the backup of my stock rom, but nothing works, my network s not working and i dont know what to do.
Please help :c
Hi, thank you for using XDA Assist. Check your apn settings. They probably are not set up correctly for your carrier. Go to settings, wireless and networks, more, cellure networks, access point names. Google yourcarriername apn. You can usually find the correct settings there.

It doesnt let me change my apn because the phone is not attached to a network :/ y think i relocked my phone for sprint, and maybe trying to unlockit again it will work, but again, im new at this and i dont have idea of how to do it
Well, you might have to return your device to stock and start all over using Odin. But first see your device's specific forum here,http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s4-sprint. All and specifically ask your question here, http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2374543. They are the experts on your device and will be off more help than I.

As many others I have agreed on recent OTA update to Bluboo Mini fixing backlight setting problem. I don't use gmail, so I had set google account data to anything I had forgot just after. And now, after installation of the update the phone wanted google accout data - no luck in serveral tries... so I had finally loaded TWRP and cleared all including system. Now I would like to re-flash the phone, but I am not able to find any ROM for this model. could you please sugest anything - stock or alternative?

Hello,
You may try reflashing the stock firmware.
I am sorry I couldn't find much related to your device here on XDA.
