Hi. Recently bought a brand-new Nexus 5 phone. Set it up and installed some apps but not a lot. Now, found a bug.
Same with my Moto G (4G), i can't seem to enable the Alarm Clock sound when my phone is on Silent (particularly at night before i sleep). Tried fiddling with the alarm clock settings and the Sound under the main settings (like turning up the volume) but nothing is happening; the volume is still down to zero.
Anyone else experienced this situation? Is there a solution?
Please advice.
What apps have you installed? Maybe its something you're installing.

It's got to be an app or a setting that's messing things up. I put my phone on silent at night and my alarm still goes off. When you hit the volume button do you get 3 sliders? Ringtone, Notifications, Alarm.
For your information i am using a brand-new Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.4 and the alarm in question is the stock N5 alarm clock. Yes, this is the first time i have encountered such problem although i have the same issue with my Moto G (4G) with 4.4.4 handset. Had a Galaxy S4 two weeks ago, installed the same apps and the S4's stock alarm clock has NO problems whatsoever.
Going to Sounds under Settings did not helped either. I can't turn up the volume of the alarm without turning up the volume of the Ringtones & Notifications and the Media which basically defeats the purpose of having the phone on Silent mode during night time.
In my experience of owning Android handsets in my opinion this is a bug that needs to be fixed/patched my Google.
Any more advice please?
@Gino76ph try this as a work around for now. Seems stock just lacks this feature.

If you are interested in Xposed Framework there is a module that will separate the Alarm volume Slider and Media volume slider into two separate sliders.
Hello, after I have updated to 5.0 I am experiencing a problem when someone calls me and the phone is closed with the Google's quick cover, I get only one vibration and then the phone continues to ring but doesn't vibrate anymore so if I have only vibration on I loose a lot of calls. What can I do to fix it? Someone has the same problem? This is really annoying, please help
I have the settings on my Gear S3 set as "Sound mode: Sound", and "Vibrate with sound" is switched OFF. However, whenever my morning alarm beeps to wake me up, it definitely still vibrates making an annoying buzzy sound on my bedside table! Does anyone know if I'm stuck with this vibrate for alarms, or is there a way to definitely remove the vibrate feature from the alarms?
Secondly, it would be great if I could dismiss an alarm with a voice command rather than having to do so by sliding my finger across the screem. Anyone know if there's a way (or and add-on app) that will allow me to dismiss an alarm with my voice? (S-Voice does not ofer such an option at present as far as I've found - or maybe I just need to use the correct verbal command?)
Hello, I have had a Find X2Pro for 2 months. Before that I had a Mate 20 pro. I noticed that the vibration when notified is far too short, just a hint of vibration. With WhatsApp it is possible to set different vibrations but no matter what you choose it is always the same. The vibration of the alarm clock ect works as it should. It is only in the case of notification that it is too short. Does anyone know the problem, is it normal?
Does anyone know how to change the default alarm clock sound and vibration for Google clock alarms that are set on the phone? I haven't found a way to change these and it annoys me when the clock is making a sound immediately when the alarm triggers. On my phone I have set it to be a raising volume alarm so I can wake up (or snooze) without everyone in the room waking up. My previous watch didn't have a speaker so it was just a vibration on the wrist that woke me up.
