ok im trying to get my daughter phone to work . i guess att says its out of warrenty so they will not help me.
so as of now i have put a custom recovery from odin . ive tried to flash the stock firmware it will boot just past the splash screen thviongen restart.
ive read that power buttoms stick , in this case i dont think its the problem . when in dl mode or recovery power button works flawless.\
after having tried the stock route with no luck i flashed liquid rom and it will go just past splash and then restart. im pulling my hair out posting everywhere trying to get some help with this ...
if i can get someone to give me a few thing to try before i toss it out and move on .. i really cant afford a new phone now so ill give anything a try..

First,sr for my bad english.
Yesterday at noon,i was trying to get to JFD on Odin,but the phone keep rebooting after i did that,so i did a master clear,but i waited for 30 minutes and nothing happened(the yellow bar still appeared through..),so i pulled the usb cable out and then i tried to get to download mode again,but nothing came up.I tried using all the methods that i read,but still could not get into download mode or boot the phone up.So i'm very scared right now.
I hope that you will help me solve this problem.

Are you on a Galaxy S 4G? I believe JFD is a ROM for the Vibrant, not the SGS 4G.
If you did, you might want to try AdamOutler's unbrickable mod:

I really wish I knew of another way. You could try searching the forums a bit; there might be a way, but usually if the wrong boot loaders were installed you'd have to follow the link I sent, use a jig (which I know nothing about) or something of that nature.

Without realising my HTC One S was an S3, I have flashed the Modaco ROM & CWM.
It is now stuck in a boot loop. I can get to FastBoot with a little persistance, but I dont know what I need to be flashing to get it back up and running.
Can anyone suggest what CWM or ROM I need please?

Run the S3 RUU and you should be back on stock. Also, wrong section. You might get flamed for this .

I turned the phone off from bootloader, but now I cant get it to turn on at all, even after hours on charge. Can anyone help or suggest what might work?
Hold down power ull see the soft capactive buttonns flash when they stop let go of power and then power on like normal to get into bootloader

Hi well i need some urgent help i have no idea what i m doing at this point, well i m going to be honest i m kind of a noob at all this and today i went to install a custom rom like i normally do but it got stuck on the bootloader i couldnt access CWM so i hooked my phone up to Odin and re installed the stock rom thinking it would solve the problem but it hasn't....any help would be amazing right about now guys its just stuck running through the samsung boot logo .
P.S it might be worth noting i was using repill as my kernel i dont now if thats reset to stock now or if its the same it might be the problem?

no worries! if you can see Samsung logo just leave battery, wait 20 seconds, put buttery back. hold vol up button+ home button + power, wait for galaxy note 2 logo and blink 2 times and leave all buttons. now you will enter in recovery, wipe everything and reflash back custom rom.

No offense intended, but Toolkits prevent users from learning anything about your phone. If something goes wrong they are stuck and in most cases do not know how to solve it, as clearly stated in your quote [sorry i cant help you if you dont use the toolkit]. Just my 2 cents

I had the exact same problem today at work, had to wait 'till I got home. When you say stuck at the bootloader do you mean the green android guy in Download mode or the Samsung logo?
I did what you did, connected to odin, flashed a pre-rooted stock ROM and it's back to normal. Did you change any of the settings in Odin?
i think im ****ed.. i would like opininos suggestions..im desperate right now lol sounds bad i know however
first :my power button does not seem to want to work anymore
secondly: i noticed there was a basband and firmware update and i downloaded mf1 and the modem
third: i went into my quick setings since my power buton is broken and clicked on recovery mode and clicked ok
fourth: i waited .. the little blue words appeared in the top left corner as usual, and then it says samsung galaxy s3 and hangs for a minute then shuts off and turns back on.. continuing the loop.
possiblly important infomation;
my battery level was only 24 percent and i think if i charge it up or try to get it to charge that it may work out
your probably wondering what i do when my phone dies ..
well i put it on the charger and it turns on and the charging screen pops up with the battery
then i unplug the phone and it boots up without me touching the power button .
any information will be apprciated thanks ahead of time

The same power button issue happened to me a few weeks ago. I found a YouTube video of a guy who demonstrated slamming his phone on a table to fix it. Now I know what your thinking sounds stupid but it worked for me. Hold your phone so the side with the power button is flat on the table (this is how it needs to land). Then lift it and slam it down. I used a mouse pad to cushion the impact. Took like 20 tries but its been good ever since.
i forgot to mention.. i was planning on letting the phone completely die and then giving it some juice to see if that breaks the loop or sends it into normal boot mode i dont have the screw driver small enough to unscrew the back, if i did do you think holding the power button on the board will break the loop?

As I said it took me a few tries I also remember putting a crappy thumdrive under the mouse pad to get more impact on the button. Not sure how hard I did it. Oh and take your battery out.

2. banged the **** out of the side like instructed and was getting it into recovery mode ..
3. was trying to do a reboot system

4. finally it let me reboot system and it turned on .. and now my power button seems to be working again

Trust me I know the feeling. I had soft bricked my phone after I tried to downgrade from 4.3 (before the fix was found) right after I thought I found the solution my phone was doing the power loop. Scared the crap out of me.
can i update my firmware and baseband with odin ? or do you reccommend me downloading clockwork mod and using that instead of teamwin ? i want slim kat .. seems alot better then this 4.1.3 bull**** lol .. althought the bone stock rom was very very very trusty.
my next question is should i instal the firmware first hen the modem then the rom i want ?

I personally like twrp more. yes you can update that stuff with odin i think there are links in the development section. As long as you do a factory reset and dalvik format you should beable to flash whatever you want now. It is recommended to be on at least 4.1.2 modem for ROMs. If you flash the 4.3 modem make sure it is only the modem and not the full firmware. You will be on a locked bootloader if you do.

The basebands available to flash are zips flashable only through recovery. Have been for a while now.
Hey all. I have lost my Moto g 4g ughhh like a dog over it but it is wjat it is! I have a Sony Tipo here and I am trying to get some CWM recovery on it. I have read over a few dif threads about how to install it and done exactly as it says but still no recovery will boot. I first tried the normal way and power on wait to see the sony animation and keep pressing - but nope just boots back up to the normal screen no recovery, I have tried to use quickreboot from playstore that wont o it, I have tried ROM Manager and that wont work when i press reboot to recovery. I am lost and its drivin me mad lol. I am not a n00b I have had so so many android phones now and never have I had a problem rooting, getting recovery's, flashing roms/mods ect but this tipo is driving me insane in a round about way Plz can anyone help me out on how I can get recovery to work so I can start to flash some roms and sup up this thing a bit :0

Dammm I just twigged it, the volume - on the tipo I had in my place is broken Is there anyway I can get to recovery without it??
I hate just bare stock I want to get a few roms tested out on this till I can get a new phone. Please if anyone can think of a way
I will be really happy.
