[Q] CF Autoroot Alternative? - Galaxy Note Pro 12.2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there an alternative method to root a p900 (note pro 12.2 Wifi)? I've tried the auto root procedure using ODIN several times, and have tried essentially every suggestion to complete the process. Every time, without fail, the process will hang on cache.img. I have been able to flawlessly install the recoveryimg.tar as well as the TWRP bootloader, but not the actual root file. I played around in TWRP trying to find out if there was an issue with the cache partition, and I've tried repartitioning it in TWRP to EXT2,EXT3,EXT4 and FAT to no avail; every time I try to flash the root file it hangs.
Is there a way to manually apply the cache.img to the cache partition, or apply the files contained within the image directly to the partition? The recovery.img file contained in the root archive installs just fine, but the cache file simply won't apply. Alternatively, is there a way to use Kies or Heimdall to apply the relevant files?
If the autoroot method simply doesn't work, is there an alternative method to root the device? I don't mind playing around in the device directories and manually copying files, but I'd like to have root.
Model: SM-p900 64gb edition, purchased in the United States and received August 11, 2014 (in case there were hardware revisions since the time CF-autoroot was released)
Thanks for your help.
EDIT: figured I'd include ODIN's output from my most recent attempt at flashing, it may be helpful.

solution
Had same problem: google for this: CF-Auto-Root-picassowifi-picassowifixx-smt520.tar

Good News: I was able to successfully install CF Auto root by first installing a full firmware image. That somehow enabled the ODIN flasher to work. It was ~2GB but it did the job .

Problems using philz_touch files to root tab

I'm trying to follow this thread to root my tab but something is going wrong. I have downloaded the latest for my tab, load the philz_touch_5.0.5-p1143.tar.md5 in odin and have put the zip on my external sd card. The issue is the firmware never seems to load correctly in the first stage to get me to the point that I can continue on to step two which is flashing the zip file from the sd card. I start odin and load the tar file with pda selected, boot the tab into download mode and connect it to the computer. Odin shows it connected and i click start...after a few seconds and showing progress of it uploading the file it says passed with a green box and reboots the tab for me. Now I'm suppose to go to step two and use the new recovery that should have been uploaded to flash the philz_touch zip file but it's the same old factory recovery and not the new one that odin was suppose to upload so i can flash from the sd card.
Hardware: P5113
Ver: 4.1.1
This is the thread i'm following:

These are the files i'm using ..the tar and zip for p5113

Any help would be appreciated. I'd like to root this tab, take a nandroid backup and flash a new rom like CM to it.

As you can see it seems successful, the box turns green and says passed but booting into recovery mode for step two still has the factory one and does not have an option to install zip from sdcard ..just the usual upgrade.

[Q] Galaxy S4 SGH-I337 (Soft Brick) (Complete (Write)/NAND Write Odin Error)

So I was previously running the MF3 baseband on my SGH-I337 (ATT) and couldn't install any custom ROMs until I tried safestrap. I installed the Google Play Edition ROM and it worked successfully, except the WiFi wouldn't turn on. I could have flashed modem files but I was advised multiple times not to do so. Anyways, I was removing the ROM through safestrap and accidentally wiped my system and all its files I think. Now my phone is stuck in a bootloop (constant Samsung logo) and I can't recover with ODIN because I get an error (shown below). Also, I could only find a TAR file which ends with either MK2 or MDL, my phone was previously MF3, could this be the cause of any problem? Any fixes?
Additional Info:
1) I cannot boot into stock recovery, I'm always forced into download mode.
2) ODIN gives the error everytime I try to flash the stock ROM that I downloaded.
3) I've tried flashing the 16GB PIT file with little luck, the operation finished successfully but I'm still not able to flash anything else because:

I'm quite new to all of this, any help is greatly appreciated. Sorry if I'm leaving out information, just ask if needs be.
My i337 is doing the same thing, except I started on mk2. I see tons of folks asking about complete write fail on google, so I know this is a bigger issue that hasn't been identified yet...but when I get this POS working, I am selling it and NEVER buying anything with a locked bootloader (or the AT&T logo) again. I wish I had researched better and chosen a tmobile S4 to use on at&t.
I got the exact same error like you do in Odin with flashing a new PDA / Recovery. Cannot get rid of error messages, status 7, fail in odin and so on, but my phone isnt in boot loop like yours..

[HELP] Odin Fail on GT-P5113 Tab 2 10.1

First off, I have TWO (2) of these guys. Same model number. I flashed 1 successfully. These came from a flea market. The one that upgraded successfully was working. The other one, was labeled "PARTS" and just bootloops.
This one, I am UNABLE TO GET INTO RECOVERY by pressing "PWR+VOL DOWN", unlike the first one. I AM able to get into DOWNLOAD mode and attempt to flash the 4.2.2 update like I did the first one.
The problem is ODIN is throwing a "FAIL!" on this one.

I am using ODIN 3.10. Not sure if there is any way to force a recovery. I don't OWN these, they are a Co-Workers. Just curious if using a PIT file to repartition would be best, or if I need to flash a new bootloader or something. In DOWNLOAD mode, the screen says:
Odin Mode:
Product Name: GT-P5113
Custom Binary Download: No
Current Binary: Samsung_Official
Any help?
Update:
Tried to use a PIT file to restore the partition tables, but all I get is "There is no PIT Partition". I have tried a few PIT files for the 5110/5113 as well as trying to flash it standalone and with said ROM. Not sure if there are any other methods or steps involved.
Any help would be awesome!

Help: Samsung S6 SM-G920F (post-root problems)

Hello everybody.
Ok so let's put it straight, I'm one of those tech noobs trying to do **** on PC and Android but failing almost everytime.
I wanted to be able to install Lucky Patcher on my Samsung S6 SM-G920F so I followed one simple and basic guide by tomsguide(dot)com on rooting my phone that told me to install Odin and then flash a file name "CF-Auto-Root-zeroflte-zerofltexx-smg920f.tar.md5" on AP. Then reboot.
I went on with updating SuperSU, installing Busybox and Lucky Patcher and was finally able to cheat in a solo game I downloaded last week.
Since then, I am not able to install ANY App (external or Play Store). Downloading works fine but I get either invalid APK file (adb install command) or Error -505 from Google Store.
Now I thought, I might as well just undo the root through Odin and then begin from somewhere else, because I don't know the root cause.
I then followed a guide buy wonderhowto(dot)com to un-root and flash into firmware (right country etc.) but now I am stuck with this log on Odin:

Can anybody help me out of the mess I made?
I'd like to install a custom ROM (CarHDRom_V.27.0_5DPL4.zip) - be able to install any app - use lucky patcher again.
PS: I already did a factory reset, but it did not help.

Greetings and welcome to assist. Lucky Patcher is banned on xda, we can not help you with anything that will get paid applications for free. To fix your phone I would use kies/smartswitch emergency firmware recovery which will return you phone to stock and then re root
