Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application; with this, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!

If i'm not mistaken, it will work on any hboot

It works on hboot 2.15, so I guess, it will not work on 2.16?!

Downloaded and installed. Works great. Fast and stable (for now, at least). I did encounter a problem. When I turned on "Search panel" (I actually don't know what this is), MoKee launcher will stop working and I have to reflash the ROM.
Anyway, thanks a lot for the new ROM. I like it very much.

So far so good!! Running very smooth.

I'm very happy with the rom.
Runs smooth, has cm11 profiles which i love.
Also themes work perfect. Have the Android L theme installed.
Set LCD density to 200. Also no problem.
No issues so far. Which screenshots would you like to see???

Ok here we go then
Just 1 feature for the future maybe. I like the dark ui which some roms have. Maybe an idea for future releases??

Other quick question though.
How to install the update that's downloaded from the Mokee Centre??
I see a release update of 25mb. But no install button.

Nice work! How about camera quality? I'd like to give a try, but I have no idea of camera qualità in non-Sense roms..

I think camera quality is fine. Don't know if there is any difference with Sense. Haven't used a sense rom for a while. Don't like sense

About hover, I personally required you to install a third party app. That's called Xposed. Search for hover app and done. About adding hover in Mokee. It will take time from now. I don't know others devs are agreed to update hover in mokee sources.
HashyCode.

Oki
And how about custom tiles in Quick settings?

Looks interesting, what features will be added in the future?
Will there be Lockscreen Notifications or Killall button switcher ?

I'm having also same problem, but I'm on CM11 unofficial, and problem appear from 23rd nightly. Could be same problem cos both are on same base. When I reboot sound comes back, but if I reboot again sounds in calls disappear again and so on and on. Now I have sound but if something happens and rebooting is needed, I'm afraid I will loose call sound again.

Well the Chinese apps are targeted at the China users as the ROM was based in China, it's useful to them (think of MIUI, but has vanilla Android looks+open source+maintained by freelancers (MIUI is a company, we are not though, we do this for free))...
And there are only 4 apps? All the others are fully English...you are really missing out if you gave up cause of that...fell free to remove them from /system/app or disable them in Settings->Apps...

@phoenixita: did you know about this?
Moderators Note about MoKee. These ROMs in the past were known for distributing adware/malware. As they claim to be "Open Source" now, you should still be cautious about flashing MoKee ROMs. Currently this ROM is under review by Moderation Staff.

I was bumping into it when I was searching for more info about this ROM... I'm getting suspicious...
More than that, read the whole thread, that in the end was closed by moderators just 3 days ago
Note from Moderation
Ok folks, now that Mokee supposedly has gone "Open Source", we've decided to give them another chance. And this has nothing against the Dev putting the build together.
In the past, Mokee ROMs were not particularly liked, as they contained Adware and Malware apps. Anybody who is familiar with MIUI knows about their sly tricks to get money after you install the ROM (cloud service). Also, Mokee was closed source, which doesn't go well with us.
Now, we are keeping a close eye on Mokee, and at the first incident of anything fishy, they are gone for good.
You guys can flash what you wish, and make the choice yourself. However, if it were me, I'd use a different keyboad app.
It's probably as safe as flashing a MIUI ROM.
Hopefully now they are open source, things will be ok.

I've flashed it also just for testing and yes, it boots and works well (except if you're not installing a dark theme like Thyrus KitKat theme which will bring back the dreaded sistemui FC).
I use Swiftkey keyboard but still I don't trust a dev team that did that before. Just my opinion, anyone can flash anything on their phones ofc

LatinIME.apk is the aosp keyboard. And I have ran ROM since u uploaded. Got to say it is a nice smooth ROM. Has some nice features also. I love the animations when scrolling in a menu. Which the animations are changeable too. Everything worked except for what rapier pointed out. Except I didn't have FC just some elements were not themed when applying a them like the messaging app theme was not correct black on black text but worked. It has some Chinese apps that I deleted with titanium backup cause had no idea what they were. I'll run I for a little while see how it is. But overall stable smooth ROM. Nice job
Oh, I must add one thing. As I was going through the initial wizard, I saw there were alot of languages there. Didn't tested them but maybe someone will be interested in this. There are not so many multilanguage ROMs after all
Sent from nowhere over the air...
every rom needs at least second chanche
What about a feature in screen settings, that should fix screen bug after call end? Is it work?

Since we're updating frequently, making manual changelogs ain't possible anymore...
And also take note that although I am involved in the development of this ROM, but I do not own the device, so I might not be able to answer your device specific questions...

Thanks. It's there now. Earlier when I looked, it was blank. Maybe page was just down. I'll give this a try later.

Haven't tested the ROM myself but sounds like the famous BSOD issue. Are you using the stock CM kernel?
The solution is to not change the governor to ondemand for now, leave it to interactive, and waiting for CM to fix it.
No issues booting here. Clean install on Sprint variant.

I had the same mms issue on this rom as the other aosp roms. When I try to send mms, it fails saying no apn settings.
Had consistent bsod issues with this ROM every time the screen was off more than a minute.. Tmo variant, completely clean flash, on latest nightly. I like this ROM but couldn't get it to cooperate... Maybe because I'm on the 4.3 bootloader? Not really wanting to update that though...

Plans on adding the slim recent menu? If not already in, downloading now.

Woooooooow <3 Finally Mokee is on Moto G! I'm so happy @herna! You did a great job.
Anyway, Halo was one of my favorite feature on the ROMs I've tested! So I'm very happy it is here. But I was wondering if it was able to have implemented in next builds the new feature that PA built!
PEAK!
What about it Hernan

Hi
Will try this ROM over weekend. A quick question, ART works on this?....
I am using Nexus G+ 006 and stuck with it as any other CM based or AOSP based ROM I am flashing I do not get wifi working. Very strange though. I will check to see whether the situation is the same in this ROM.
Thanks.

does it come with memore leak bug (like one every ROM atm.) which pushes user to reboot the phone in order to use it normally ?
Im using stable release and don't have RAM bug All is working great
