I have always used esfile, and always set it up in list format, most recently modified first.
As of 2 days ago in the path / Device, MPT is now always first (most recently modified), and was not that way before. This coincides approximately with when someone that mistrust me, for no legitimate reason, was left alone with my rooted g2 for a significant period of time. Is this a real concern, or am I bring as paranoid as the afore mentioned person? Thanks in advance and sorry for my noobness.

Has anyone had any luck rdt? I tried catalystcorp's method on several nightlies (yes I saw note for stock gb use only) but always end up in boot loop.
My work location has no available wifi and I get throttled every month.
Or has anyone found a way to repackage any system files so less data gets chewed up?
Thanks for your time!

If you had followed the thread as you say you would know there was a change at T-Mobile and noway around getting throttled. It is now done on the T-Mobile side instead of the phone.
Thanks for the snarky reply.
If you had read my post completely, I also asked if anyone found a way to repackage system files.
Like I said, my place of work has no available wifi and I rely HEAVILY on using carrier. Just trying to find any possible solution to make it month to month

Either break into T-Mobile or pay for a higher data cap. Nothing on your end can ever stop it, no matter what. The tracking is on TMO's end.

Which I was tellling him. People get upset if they don't hear what they want. OP you may set it to use 2g only to lower the flow coming in.

No way around it period. They track your IMEI.
A friend of mine has recently purchased the GSIII and had a question about email storage limits. I had a rooted fascinate for a couple of years but he wants to stay stock so I couldn't help him much as I'm not familiar with thsi phone. Is there a way to allow emails to stay on your phone for longer than the limit of 100 (or a week) that is set without rooting? He uses it for work only and gets hundreds of emails in a couple of days.
I told him probably not but I'd check here since XDA always had the answer:fingers-crossed:
There should be an option to change that here: Email/Menu/Settings/Account Name Xyz/Sync Settings
It may be defaulted to one week which is what your friend sees. I'm on a custom TW rom but I'm fairly certain my Samsung email app is functionally exactly the same as out the box. I only receive a few emails a day so my experience is drastically different than your friends.

Is anyone else having troubles with the captchas? If this actually posts it's going to be a miracle. I've been through about 20 captchas on a different thread just trying to post a response
They are so awful sometimes:X
Need several tries each time...

I haven't had much trouble on this site with these ones (still pretty new), but i shall use this opportunity to vent my pent-up rage!!!
I think they've gone way overboard compared to when they first came out. Now its hard for even humans to identify them! They started off quite simple, then once they became very popular it's as if there was too much pressure to make them uncrackable and they became extremely ambiguous.
My favourite ones are the ones that say ''Drop the PHONE (or whatever) into the box'' with a click-and-drag interface but i have only seen that a couple of times
I also have this problem at times but I copy the post/comment and reload the page until I get those captcha that I can finally understand.

Some time we got this problem but you can reload age after copying your data and then try again.
ridiculous
So theres a new One X update out today it seems. My dad is currently using a One X. But every time theres an update it turns into a HUGE ordeal with having to listen to him complain for days and days about it, and the day of usually non stop hours worth of it that would drive you mad (And usually him calling up our phone provider to complain at them about it and drive them crazy to). So i'd REALLY like a way to just disable the updates from happening. Unfortunately I have yet to find any real info on doing this.
All the people ive seen talk about it are using rooted phones (Which his is not and i'd rather not do so either. He has a way about messing up technology. Last thing he needs is an easier way to mess things up). So hoping maybe someone knows a way to disable them or block them. Any help would be appreciated so I can avoid another long period of pain.
Unfortunately I don't think you can, I may be wrong. I would reccomend just putting a custom ROM on his phone and telling him not to touch certain apps I.e titanium backup or the su app etc

I'm in desperate need of help and this forum was recommended. Im a nurse, not a techie so bare with me. Going on almost 1 yr of every device, every acct...my whole life hacked. Its a very long story but somehow all my devices end up rooted with Busy Box installed. I never even knew what either meant. So, the 1st time Verizon thought i did it by mistake. 6 phones later...Im a genius, a special kind of stupid...or someone clearly hates me and is determined to make me lose my mind. HELP!!!!

And what's the question?
The question is, how is someone doing this to my phones. I have seen plenty of posts where people are inquring how to root and install busybox. So the likelyhood of someone like me "accidentally" doing this to one phone is pretty much impossible. But 6??? I downloaded the busybox installer. Chose the option to remove it from my system. Factory reset. Downloaded the app again. It still says im rooted and still have busybox installed. I changed phones, carriers, phone numbers. Nothing works.

There is just 2 possible solutions:
1) Someone has physical access to your phones and like to play with them
2) You're buying already rooted phones

Thats tech-support here - PI next door.
You may be installing software that can root the phone without you knowing, or maybe buying rooted phones. Leave the BusyBox Installer uninstalled. It may somehow be rooting you. Install security software on your phone and it will usually tell you about root. And when getting a new phone, only download apps from the Google Play Store, and nowhere else. Any shady apps should be avoided on the Play Store.

There are a couple of other options you need to look into. Once someone have compromised your gmail (or any other email) accounts you're using with your phone, there is really no telling what they can install remotely. However, the few most important aspects are:
Don't ever buy a used or opened-box phone from some "friendly guy who has one too many".
Don't ever let your phone out of sight, where you cannot be sure nobody can touch it.
Don't ever let some un-professional service center handle your phone, especially after you've already been there.
Also, it is clear from your picture that you seem to be a rather attractive woman. This is also a disadvantage, since unfortunately there are a lot of creepy guys out there, with nothing better to do that to try to get some sneak shots and personal info from tech-innocent nurses. I advice you to find a hacker girlfriend to help you find out who's spying on you.
Good luck!
