ummmmm..... i have kk on my P5210(wifi-variant)
the release is for the canadian variant but it works fine. you should really look in the 10.1 development thread. should be top of the list....

Hahhahahahah.......very funny..Bro, go to sammobile.com and go to firmware section & type P5210 and you will see that Canada has recieved kitkat . Download firmware(1.3gb) and flash via odin. And about cm , cm11 4.4.4 is released . But It has some bugs and it cannot be used as a daily driver atleast for now!!!!!!!

Never mind completely over ya head. Thanks I know you all where trying to be helpful. But I was talking about kk that Samsung sends to my device not a Canadian version. I have had this for a year and there is not one stable rom. I want the kk that belongs on the tablet. Like I said nexus next time. I guess the wifi American one will be the last one. Lol

I am happy to see kk geting close. And even happier to have a group of friends that are giving 200% time to provide us what Samsung/Intel should have.
Never the less It is true Samsung and [email protected]#$%Ing Intel garbage had screw us all by no releasing a full Open Source than can be use to create CianogenMod or aosp. To make it worst Googles and Samsung new policies while implementing new updates is geting to a untolerated limit!
I too think this is the last device I purchase without first waiting for others report. Samsung lost my thrust.

I can't really see your point. As you know, the stock roms are bloated, slow and sometimes more unstable than the modded ones. As for the release for Kit Kat - Samsung seems to not really care for it's older devices, seeing how many more tabs they produced. Kinda strange to go out with a new version with the product every next year. To be honest, I think they should at least expand the lifespan of these tablets, It's not like they are really cheap or something. As for the hardware part of things,I think you should know that the 10.1 version is actually really different compared to the other two Galaxy Tab 3s, thus either making the release process slower since there are newer models on which they focus more. We should all be thankful that there are ambitious developers here and I'd even like to thank all of them for their hard work. For now - you should stick and help for the development rather than just wait. I hope I don't sound insulting or anything. I think that any help (bug reports, etc) would be appreciated.

Oh bro I am also talking about that only . See, there are different regions of every tablet. You must not be living in Canada. This tab has got 4.4 kk but In canada & not In your country. So , you will not be able to download kk by going to software update . You will have to download it from sammobile & flash it manually via odin . Please ubderstand this. I and a lot of other people are running Kitkat .

And additionally it is a very easy process to install the Canada version with Odin.
I am from Germany, have installed the Rom and so far no problems.
But for my opinion not a lot of differences to the former Rom.

@jason504
i believe any version will contain the same language support set, also version specificity only comes into play
with respect to cellular/gsm variants. for wifi only models it really doesn't matter. else there are still "after market"
methods for sorting out issues.

When I got this tablet I thought Yes since I have been flashing roms on my phone for years here is something else I can flash roms on and have fun. Boy I was wrong I know they have a couple of stock roms but they ran worse than my stock rom. So I unrooted and said I will wait for Samsung to update my tablet to kk. I have been waiting and waiting it's just a big let down. But you live and learn my phone is faster than my tablet so basically all I use my tablet for is chrome cast. To be honest with you I don't even know if I will get another tablet for what. It's easier to just grab my phone. That's why I love big phones.

Just curious, I understand going back to stock, but why unroot? How can you stand all that bloatware?

SGT 3 7 Inch - A realistic future or a dead born child?

Hey folks,
I got a SGT 3 7 Inch through a promotion offer, since I'm a student I got it for free. Yea, for free - no joke.
Reading about the device online made me feel like I should rather sell it unopened. The idea is to get a Nexus 7 instead. I love installing custom stuffs and by now there is no development of what kind ever here. Is there any chance that developers are gonna take care of the device? Or is it gonna remain one of those devices nobody needed and wanted?
Cheers
Daniel
You should read a little bit in the other threads. So far devs are still working on a custom recovery, they didn't get it to work so far. Without the recovery there is no possibilty to flash custom roms. Since the tablet is only about a month old, you might want to give it some time, or trade it like you said for the N7 right now. I'm playing with the same thought.
Did you get yours also from Postbank and Web.de?

Hi guys
I own now 2 tablets.
1 samsung galaxy tab 3
1 nexus 7 (2012)
I musst say the nexus 7 is a lot better then the gt3.
It beginns with the time you power on the screen. N7= 0sec gt3 = up to 3 sec.
But ok .the devs are working the gt3 and i think they will not stop.why should they?
So when we wait a bit there will be roms or kernels that make the gt3 much faster so you can "use" it without problems.
This device will run better than ipad when we are finish..

Since yesterday, I own the sgt3 7.0 too. It was for free (Postbank&gmx). The original ROM is not so bad. But I needed Root (e.g. for Adblocking). Fortunately there is a first custom rom (infamoustab). And what should i say? 30 minutes of working and the tablet seems to be REALLY smooth.

4.2.2 to launch for Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 (SM-T210/211) soon?

So SamMobile just posted a new article about a new red Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 launch in US soon.
The news article explains that its launching with 4.2.2.
http://www.sammobile.com/2014/01/16...axy-tab-3-7-0-in-the-us/#.UtgtN7CxW-Q.twitter
The last picture shows the model number SM-T210R.
As with every other color refresh, the specs remain the same. You get a 7-inch 1024×600 display, 1.2GHz dual-core processor, 1GB RAM, 3-megapixel rear camera, 1.3-megapixel front camera, 8GB of internal memory and a microSD slot, Wi-Fi, HSPA, GPS, and Bluetooth connectivity, a 4,000mAh battery, and Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean, upgradeable to Android 4.2.2.

The article says it's upgradable. Still depends if Samsung will release 4.2.2. If they do it'll still be Touchwiz so I'll be sticking with RocketTab and holding my breath for CM.

If its upgradable that must mean they will have the update out for the Lite release. Might have been a slip on Samsungs part, but I'm sure they confirmed further firmware updates for Galaxy Tab 3.0.
I can see SM-T211 is sold with android 4.2.2
Code:
lazada.com.my/samsung-galaxy-tab-3-sm-t211-7-16gb-wifi-3g-white-449508.html
I have the same model bought in India not sure when will they release the 4.2.2 update.
http://www.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-tab-3-lite-official-7-inches-jelly-bean
Apparently it launches with Android 4.2 It's the same hardware as the normal 7-inch Tab 3. (One with Marvell CPU)
(Thanks PhlyingMonkey)
Galaxy Tab 3 SM-T210, SM-T210R, and SM-T211 and the new Galaxy Tab 3 Lite are all the same internal hardware, the only difference is the R model has infared, and the 211 has 3G. Other than that, same CPU and SoC. I really expect Samsung to update every single model to 4.2 (and hopefully 4.4 in future).
Yeah I take back my previous comment. When it comes out I'll do a performance comparison across all the different kernels and roms.
I'm especially curious to see how it stands up against the stock 4.1 ROM and kernel.
There seems to be a 4.2.2 for a really similar device already.

Shouldn't need to port anything really.
The SM-T110 (Galaxy Tab 3 Lite) is identical to the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 in terms of hardware, only difference is the lesser camera and smaller battery. Other than that, same CPU, same screen same GPU same RAM.
Just might work anyone brave enough to port it.....wild guess it is just the .lib for the camera to required to work around

Actually no , it has a different bootloader and the newer boot loader might factor in why it has different partitions. Like most devices our boot loader is not compatible so I won't waste time. I already posted about the garnet red one some time back and it's easier to use theirs or according to Samsung we will get 4.2.2 of our own and too a new bootloader might be in the update.

I doubt kitkat if they only moved us to 4.2.2 I don't think they are attempting kitkat. When we receive 4.2.2 I will port 4.3 then get it stable then port 4.4. Issue with 4.1.2 was compatibility with egl stuff and no one knows how mrvl works. So hopefully with 4.2.2 we have a chance since it will be more compatible

Hey
Great. This is only a few hours old. I've been working in my garden. But why 4.4.2?
I crack myself up. They should have released 4.4.3. Never mind, now I just need a dump and some updated sources.
About your problem; this is Samsung in a nutshell, but I'll do my best to release a 4.4.2 kernel and system as soon as I can. Hopefully I'll be able to make it compatible with 4.2.2 and 4.3 bootloaders.
Stay tuned.

Ok, this is my personal opinion. The GT-I9506 is outstanding, making it a direct threat to the Galaxy S5. As you know, the S5 features a Snapdragon S801...just an overclocked S800. No magic in that. I can do the same, well to be honest...I already did for my own phone. It's a piece of cake to overclock. But the fact is, do we need it? For myself; nice to have but not need to have.
I'm pretty sure that we can do the same as the S5, and even more. But with the new S805, we WILL loose, no doubt about that.
Stay tuned guys, the game is about to begin.
Regards.

Hey
Stay tuned.
Regards.

5.0 Lollipop

Any Developers or people who's working or done with the lollipop 5.0 rom for infuse? I just want to experience the new material design.
They have said once beanstalk is ported they'd give it a go.

I'm working on it, could be interesting if we can use this kernel on our device
https://github.com/hak86/android_kernel_samsung_aries
since infuse has 2.6 kernel and required a lot of changes to make lollipop
I am unsure about specs but you might visit the Samsung Galaxy player 4.0 and 5.0 forums, they are at least same gen devices and I saw lollipop is built on it.

Any progess?
Is there any progress on Lollipop for the Infuse? Still using mine. Thanks.
Lollipop is a ram eater. I tried it on the razrm and it didn't go well. Wound up reverting to kitkat. I'm sorry but at some point even if you can, you shouldn't and I think all devs are realizing this.

I think people should just run the latest that's available, or get a new phone. A Moto E is 3 times the phone the Infuse is, and can be had for $30 if you buy it at the right time. Plus it runs Lollipop out of the box. Methinks trying to run 5.0 on a 4 yr old device is near impossible.

Hell i haven't seriously used my Infuse in over 2 years, i just like to see just how much it can handle, I was a bit surprised when it took KK. Now just waiting to see if it can handle Lollipop.

Just purchased LG G3 White

Hey community! I am currently and sadly a GS4 user with AT&T. Have had to deal with safestrap which im thankful for, never a full unlock. Just purchased a G3 off swappa. Definitely looking forward to having full control over my device without restrictions.
Read around and rooting is obviously easy. Custom recovery is what im going to be looking into next. Whats your current rom if running custom? If your still on stock, why?
Cheers

Hello and welcome! I think you'll find the G3 to be a great device, especially now that there is development for it. I am running my Candy5 ROM. It's based on CM12 with some goodies added. Give it a shot once you get TWRP flashed. You won't regret it :good:

Awesome. I did check that one out. And is already downloaded. I will be playing around with that one and of of course cm12.
Thanks
I'm still using cloudy ROM from the international thread. It is based off of the international stock kit Kat build. Everything works perfectly.

I was exactly like you except still had my s4 on mf3 firmware (which I passed down to my gramps): I got my g3 a lil after black Friday and love it. I'm running on pa 4.4.4 still since the battery life is phenomenal and basically no bugs. I do plan on going onto cm12 in the near future I think since its gone 'official' a few days ago. Btw I rooted mine with purpledrake
LG D-850
I'm a little confused. Wasn't the whole bumping thing website removed? Can development still happen if roms and kernels can't be bumped?

the website was removed because someone open sourced it so things can still be bumped

[Apologies for the piggyback]
I just got an LG G3 a couple of days ago and still using my first Note (i717) as a tablet. I cannot believe how smooth and fast this thing is, originally I was going to get the Note 4 but I'd rather spend $1.09 than $249.99+tax. So here I am an LG G3 member and it's good to be back on the forums with a fresh device.
Until At&T stop acting like a little-baby-b***h and locking their devices, you can try the available tools and tricks to get by.

I also just got this phone and all I can say is wow. I had a S5 for a little white but I must say I honestly think this phone blows Samsung's flagship out of the water in all ways. Best phone I had to date.
