[Q] Xperia L Bricked - Sony Xperia L

Hi Friends,
My Xperia L looks bricked and i am having no idea whether it is Hard or soft brick.
I am unable to turn it on and when i connect it to the charger it is showing 1 blink of green LED and after that 1 blink of red LED.
After that no LED, no vibration when power button pressed, no SONY logo.
Even i charged my XL for 1hr and it is showing no LED.
Yesterday i flashed C2104_15.3.A.0.26_India.ftf and everything was working fine.
I have unlocked my bootloader and flashed kernel Phantom v7-JB.
After installing the kernel, my XL looks bricked.
When i try to again install stock FTF via flashtool i am getting error ERR_DYNAMIC="0x80080021

please help me

Hm it says device connected in flash mode so it may not be a hard brick. Once it disconnects try reconnecting it in flash mode instantly? report back if the process continues or gives out an error.

Do you have another usb cable or computer available? If so try it again. The problem might be your usb cable or computer.

hi,
i have tested with other Laptop and with other USB cable. Same result observed..
I think because of power button is not working.... so is the volume down key... and due to that when volume down key is pressed during flashing with flashtool...... it is always showing in connected mode i.e Device connected in flash mode.
we are not entering into Flashing process or may be i am wrong.
Please help

I'm not too sure. But it said it was about to begin flashing, that means flashboot mode seems to be working. People with a hard brick weren't able to enter flash mood at at all. I'm not sure what's the problem sorry, but I don't think you have a hard brick. Can you enter recovery mode? Hold the volume up button once the led turns purple when it boots. I'm only asking because you did say, you flashed phantom kernel.

For fastboot to work, you need an unlocked bootloader. Are you aware of this? It seems to me that your bootloader isn't unlocked (yet).

[Q] Xperia l not going past the sony screen on boot up

I own Xperia L C2104 with a build no. and had android version 4.2.2
So, here is what happened.
i got fascinated with rooting and bootloader unlocking stuff, so i rooted my phone successfully and everything was fine after rooting and then i decided to unlock my bootloader. I officially got the key from sony and followed the procedure. after i did that my phone stuck in the bootloop so i tried recovering my phone to last state using CWM recovery that i backed up before unlocking bootloader but it was not successful it said "failed to format system......." something like that.
After that my phone would not go past the sony screen on bootup. It goes in flash mode and fastboot mode when connected to PC. and when in off position i try to charge it, red led glows for abt 5 sec i.e. untill the phone boots and the sony screen appears..............
So please guys help me..............
my phone is in warranty but i think i have voided it by doing those above stuffs................
just reflash the stock firmware.

You should be able to flash C2015 firmware on C2104 XL .
Check the USB cable. and make sure you have the latest flashtool with the drivers installed. Then try flashing and let me know if it worked!

finally solved my problem................thanks every1
the main problem was that i was flashing the wrong stock rom which i downloaded from https://docs.google.com/uc?id=0B16r...ny i.e. by using unlock key provided by them?
You should be having your DRM keys back by now. Which means that you can update from Sony directly. I dont know about the service center. I have never tried that. You must be able to reclaim the warranty though! have a nice day.

Completely agree with you. But he's flashing the whole ftf and not any single. sin. The log says this. And if you're talking about the kernel then he SUCCESSFULLY flashed phantom v7 which is not available as. sin file.
I hope you understood what I'm trying to say.

Hi all,
Problem which i am currently facing is Xperia L not booting. The above mentioned ERR_DYNAMIC=" 0x80080012 "; came when i did the following things.
1. Flashed C2104_15.0.A.2.17_India.ftf
2. Everything was working fine.
3. Flashed Phantom kernel (Phantom v7-JB) i.e boot.img file
4. Xperia l stops responding.
5. Now while putting on wall charger, it is showing RED LED Linking (each after 2secs approx)
6. When connecting to laptop and checking in flashtool, it is showing as given below. Also getting 1 time RED LED + 1 time GREEN LED blink (may be due to bootloop).

Try this
Take out your battery
push power button about 5 seconds
put battery back and charged it approx 10 min.
try flashed again ftf file via flastool
also need to check your usb port..
So you have tried changing the PC, Usb cable, ftf and none works, right?
are you sure that your bootloader is still unlocked?
I hope you didn't try to relock your bootloader after flashing phantom. (Just predicting). Make sure your bootloader is unlocked and then try faizalotai's solution posted above.

charge your battery fo atleast one hour. Then take it out and press the power button for around 30 seconds. Then put in the battery and DO NOT power on yet. Connect your usb while holding volume UP. There must be a blue led glowing.
Now download this

that leaves you with the only choice of contacting sony service centre. Since you can't enter fastbooot I believe there's some hardware problem. Try flashing the kernel using flashtool. Or just trying updating the adb drivers.
and if that doesn't work, please take your device to sony.

There's no need to get the whole motherboard changed. Atleast talk to sony. They may charge you a bit more but they're reliable.
and one more thing I want to add is that I once faced the same issue with led. and I actually charged it for 2 hrs. You should try this.
No solution for this problem? I got same problem

Hi, I had that problem you have to do is flash a custom kernel via fastboot. I do recommend phonix kernel, with that you get into recovery and do a factory reset, so your phone ripped again.
Tell me something, even the team the green LED illuminates when connected in flash mode? If not, I do not think you can re-flash tft to return it to its original mode, at least that happened to me. The other thing that happened to me is that the baseband was changed and now I can not connect to 3G when you start reviewing it.

My version of Flashtool isn't the latest, I believe it is made in March. I used a .ftf (or .tft) to flash it back because I bricked it.
Oh, and I heard your battery percentage should be 50%+ and I'm charging it to see if it works then. Someone else said I have to keep the flashmode button (volume down) on as long as it flashes it..I don't know a lot of phone unbricking, I've only unbricked my tablet and that was a Galaxy Tab 3 10.1"

9.18.6 or earlier work better(no it's not the build date) are you wiping user data and cache when flashing ftf, have you tried a different region ftf it's possible to get Corrupted downloads. you do not need to hold the vol- pressed down while flashing only whilst connecting to USB/flashtool once green led goes out let go. I don't know who told you to hold it down whilst flashing but they obviously have no clue what they are doing themselves.

Hi Aidy.
My friend said the same you did, the file is corrupted, or so we think. I'm currently downloading another .ftf
I currently do not know how to wipe user data and cache while flashing, so could you tell me, because I'm in a tough situation - waste another gigabyte for nothing, or get it to work with wiping data.
Regards,
S
EDIT: I found out how to wipe cache and user data, that didn't help. I realized that the file is corrupted, because why would it say "Processing of loader.sin finished with errors."

So we have resolved the issue by switching from Windows 10 PC to Windows 8.1 PC, fully flashed and working!
I don't know, I did reflash my Aqua just recently (Wednesday, finally got the update for my region), used the newest version of Flashtool. I did get that error - I just restarted flashing process and everything went good. I'm on W10 x64.

I'm on W10 Pro x64, but I don't think that's the difference.
I made the ftf using the Flashtool (after downloading from Xperifirm).
Nothing else - just after first connecting it gave me error (might be Windows recognising correct drivers or something). Tried it again - of course, same setup, nothing changed - working flawlessly. (Might be that you need to hold the down button until it shows work in Flashtool?)

So we have resolved the issue by switching from Windows 10 PC to Windows 8.1 PC, fully flashed and working!
