[q] help on fixing samsung s4 gt-i9505 - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys,
So I'm a bit of a novice at rooting phones but anyway I was trying to flash a more stable version of Cyanogen
mod V.10.2 from my v.11 nightly using ROM Installer and using TWRP it completed but then got into boot
loop on the Cyanogen mod animation. I took out the battery and put it back in, trying to reach recovery mode but
the Samsung S4 GT-I9505 screen would pop up as usual but after a second or so it would turn its-self off. I can only
reach download mode (power+home+vol.down), is there any way I can fix? (not to worried about data loss e.t.c)
thanks again
Jake

[Q] [q] please help me

Fellas, can I please get some help
I have been trying to install the 4.0.4 on my rooted and unlocked boot loader on my samsung galaxy nexus. Mainly because I want to see if the volume and signal are better. I have clockwork Mod Touch installed version 5.8.0.2 and also downloaded the tool kit by:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1400871
My drivers on my CPU correctly but I keep on getting this and it wont install anything. Ii did not want to install a new ROM but after so many errors I backed up my Stock 4.0.2 just to make sure and tried to load Gummy and that gave the same error. (I dont want the Gummy ROM) I just want the 4.0.4 here is a screen shot of the error message it is showing me. Guys, Thanks for your help in advance.

For one, it looks like the file isn't signed. Toggle signature verification off if you have the option (I don't know if CWM has the option, I don't use it).
There's something else that is going wrong, but I'm not quite sure what. Try reflashing the recovery. If that doesn't help, backup the SD card, format it, and try again.
So do u think I should delete clockwork mod apps and delete files from SD card then reinstall?

I got it now folks....thanks I now have a huge signal boost difference.

[Q] LG Optimus T P509 and loading a new kernel

I purchased an unlocked LG Optimus T P509 phone off eBay. Phone works fine as it was purchased. It has the stock ROM from T-Mobile and I was interested in loading a different ROM.
I'm attempting to load the kernel found in this thread but I'm having difficulty getting into recovery mode.
I'm aware of the steps leading up to recovery mode. Install z4root to root the phone, install a terminal emulator, and run the reboot recovery command. The problem I'm having happens after I type that command and the phone reboots.
I'm supposed to get this screen here:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
But instead I get this:
The screen that I'm getting stays there for about 10 seconds, then the phone reboots itself again and loads right back up completely wiped to factory default.
What gives? I'm I completely stuck and can't do jack with this phone?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Alright, so I figured it out.
This phone has a two-step process to loading a cooked ROM from this place.
I'm compelled to post a write-up of my experience since the information in this forum is all over the place for this phone. Once I'm all finished playing with the phone, I'll work on it.
I ended up installing a stock ROM without overclocking abilities since I couldn't figure out what was the best route to go. Later on I'll tinker with it.
This place, as always, is a great source of information. Thanks again.

[10.1] "pixelfailure" on startup

Hey together,
i've installed cm-10.1-20130305-NIGHTLY-p5110 on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 today and everything except for one thing is fine - unfortunately there comes a "pixelfailure" after the "Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1"-logo on the startup. I've added a photo which shows the problem. Is there anyone else who got this problem? How can i fix this? Actually it is not a serious problem, but it looks ugly and it is a little bit annoying - so it would be very nice if i could fix this.

try an earlier cm 10.1 build, and make sure to do a full wipe prior to flashing. double check cm10.1.zip md5 sum prior to flashing as well.

Thanks for the help, but - i still have the same problem!
The "pixelfailure" appears were the "Samsung"-logo appears on the original ROM. Could it be that the system tries to load the "Samsung"-logo and thats why there appears pixelgarbage?
Anyone who got the same problem?

Srynx

I thank you so much!
Greetings,
Srynx
So as summary:
It occurs because of a mismatch LCD driver between boot loader and kernel.
Solution:
Flash the latest official JB ROM (that updates your boot loader to latest JB boot loader)
After that flash whatever ROM you want to use.

[Q] Scrambled Display

I had My HTC One S working fine with an unlocked bootloader, CWM Recovery, and CyanogenMod 10.2. One day, I get a notice that there's a system update, so I thought, hey that's cool, over the air updates for CyanogenMod. So I do it and now when it boots it looks like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
With some difficulty, I was able to get into the bootloader then into CWM. I cleared everything and re-flashed the original CyanogenMod ROM, but it still does this when it boots. It also does not appear to turn on properly. Does anybody know what's going on here?

Your link doesn't work.
I also cannot see any picture of your screen, but I think you mean freaky colours on your screen.
This is due to updated display drivers some time ago on CMs side.
Which means if you use a newer ROM, you also have to use a newer kernel to get the correct colours back.
If you are S-On your kernel won`t be updated by just flashing the firmware, you have to fastboot the kernel afterwards.

REALME C12 RMX2189 bootloop stuck

My phone is android 10 and rooted with magisk and have TWRP recovery installed. My problem started when I updated my software to android 11. I thought everything is going smoothly but when it restart, the screen is stuck in this mode. I did the power and volume combination but it just restarts and stuck to that screen. I searched for a solution to this and found the flash tool but unfortunately, didn't work and won't flash anything although my phone is somewhat connected to the laptop because it does the sound when I plug and unplug it. I really hope that someone can help me with this because I'm not rich enough to buy a new phone and too young to work...
