Hi!
Not sure whether my problem affects you all or it's just my phone.
A globe notification was added to whatsapp some months ago, just like iPhone notifications, but it was only for Samsung devices. Well, I've seen it in a lot of Samsung devices except mine.
Do you have the same problem? I mean, when I receive a notification I can only see it on the status bar, not in the icon.
Thank you all.
it's dependent on the launcher, not the phone itself.
are you using stock or 3rd party launcher?

I'm using stock rom, but then I don't get it,
am I supposed to use a custom launcher to use a function that should work on stock rom?
What does a globe notification looks like?

again it has nothing to do with the ROM, it should work in the stock TW launcher (I think it's called TouchWiz Home)

I'm using Nova launcher and TeslaUnread. TeslaUnread gives the Nova launcher the ability to display notification count over the icons

Oh that, surprisingly Tesla is not showing that for Whatsapp for me. I have that on Messenger, Hangout, but not Whatsapp and other apps.
EDIT: I just realised I did not tick Whatsapp in Tesla... I will try out first

Thank you so much,
but what I was trying to say is that every device I've seen has that globe notification, and no one had another launcher, not even they were rooted!
I just don't get why I have to use some launcher to get that feature.
sorry for double post
this is what I mean
as you can see, no whatsapp notification!
Is it in the default launcher?It should be fine.

Sorry for double post! but I just want to say I've finally know how to enable it!

thanks to everyone!

Hi folks,
I'm looking for an app where if I press a shortcut (from Pie specifically), it will bring up a bunch of pre-defined app shortcuts.
Simi folder works well, but the problem for me is that it positions itself oddly. Its fine if I launch it from the dock row of icons (which I actually want to replace) but because Pie is built into systemUI, it positions itself near the status bar.
I dont want something that swipes from the side of the screen or similar. I just want to press a button and have the icons pop up, preferably in a predefined location, but at least not at the top of the screen
This is what simifolder looks like (as launched from home screen)
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
which would be perfect, except the problem is if launched from Pie, its at the top of the screen, which is annoying.
Does anyone know of similar apps that would do this, launchable from a custom shortcut?

No but it does look good... I could make a nice UCCW widget for the apps I want to launch.
Open to other ideas too.

I prefer Zooper, but I am just in the first steps with popup widget. UCCW should work, too.

Hi guys,
Would appreciate your help to identify the widget or theme or whatever it is that right panel on the screen is.
It basically appears when you scroll to either side of the main screen. I only had the phone for a while so I wasn't able to investigate further and I wasn't able to ask the owner.
Thought your collective minds could enlighten me with the answer! TIA

Pretty sure it's just a Launcher.
Any idea of what it could be or how to replicate it?

By using the same launcher? Not sure which specific one it is. You'll have to look through the Play Store and find it yourself.
maybe this
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.terrainhome&hl=en
EDIT: no, sorry. its not the same. But it offers similar functionality
Edit 2: see this aswell
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.boatmob.sidebarlauncher
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rootuninstaller.sidebar
sidebar
there are 2 ways to get a sidebar
a) use a launcher...(side bar launcher or another similar launcher)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2668438
b) use a sidebar app such as swapps or omniswitch. (I have used swapps in the past and quite liked how it worked.)

I thought that at first too, but the app-drawer button and search bar are not the same, unless the search bit is a widget in top left, and the app drawer icon is in the quick page only...
Moonshine icon pack
It is nova launcher with honeycomb style search bar with widget overlapping enabled & I don't think it's a side bar. Appears like Zooper underlaying a news feed widget. The icon pack is moonshine.
---------- Post added at 11:43 PM ---------- Previous post was at 11:33 PM ----------
Can you guys help me find out the elements of this theme? The theme looks absolutely awesome. The clock widget used is the in built one in the zooper widget. The rest all, that is, the icon pack, side bar, etc are unknown. The details are here

Hello,
it really bugs me that lockscreen notifications doesn´t show whole text messages etc., not even when expanding. So I have to open the app if someone wrote more than a few words. Also I can´t see the whole email title on Gmail notofications. NiLS Lockscreen Notifications does show the whole content when expanding the notification.
Is there a similar way to get that with stock lockscreen e.g. with a mod or customROM? Sadly I didn´t find anything.
I appreciate any help!
Thanks.

Are you on LP or KitKat?
On KitKat you could use an Xposed module called "all expandable notifications" or sth. like that.
Unless your'e on LP I don't know eather. But I would be interested in such mod etc too since I'm on LP I miss this Xposed feature a lot ?

Yeah I´m on LP.
While still on KK I used NiLS Notficitaions which does what I wants. Sadly it doesn´t integrate that well into LP so I want to use stock and be able to see whole messages at the same time.
Kinda surprised though that almost nobody does seem to mind this, although it would be a VERY convenient feature.

Couldn't agree more but obviously there not a lot of fans for this feature out there ?
I don't understand this issue, im on SlimLP Alpha 0.9.1 and I can expand all my notifications and see them, it would be nice if they could be "always expanded" but they are still expandable at the moment.

Currently I´m not on SlimLP, but I figured it would be the same for stock and SlimLP.
I can also expand the notifications, but it still doesn´t show the complete message. After a few words it just shows the 3 dots (...) so I have to go into the app to read it completely.
Edit: here is what I mean. Surprisingly Pushbullet shows a lot more text than other apps, but still not all of it. NiLS does show everything.

and yes, the picture is on CM even though it will work only on LG based rom (for every LG device that contains QSlide).
I think QSlide would be fantastic if you could add custom apps like Facebook and Instagram to it, but your idea is awesome nevertheless!
Sounds great !! For sure i can use Qslide facebook widget !!
Thanks man !! Keep the great work up !! Looking forward to see that app working on my lg
Nice idea, and would be very usefull

sound like a great idea..
in terms of design, will it have a different colour when you view it in your 'Recent apps' list on lollipop, rather than the standard blue colour?, I think a strong colour would look nice in the list of recent apps
Amazing!
No doubt it was what was missing in the LG ROM. Will work with all widgets? Good luck.
Are we talking about allowing app shortcut to be added to Qslide? If so, that's super great!

That is also a good idea, but It allows to add widgets to qslide. But I'll think about adding it in the future
I'm asking because I have been researching to modify Qslide. No luck at all.
Thanks for developing this!

When will be released the app?
Like the concept. Adding your own apps or shortcuts or widgets, all would be great.
Currently I'm working on improving Quick Circle Apps for LG (possibly) new device on MWC.
If someone wants the apk for testing he can send me a pm with his email.
Showed up in qslide but force closes. Got two launcher icons. I was able to open the app and select a widget, but it force closes when you do.

Anyone else try the new GameBox launcher? It was available for me in Galaxy Apps. Basically Game Launcher on steroids as it's an actual full-blown launcher that acts as a front end for all your games and incorporates all the Samsung game tools. Looks pretty, but I can't see using it as a full time launcher. I do have it set as a swipe action in Nova Launcher so I can access it by swiping the app drawer button.
