So it's immposible to happen, if you know a way or guid can u please tell me, I can try

You'll need to either;
1) reverse engineer all the HTC frameworks and work out what code is required for the keyboard to work then inject that code into AOSP
2) port a HTC ROM to the nexus 5
I can't help you with either

Yeah sure, if you can figure out what it needs to make a framework "file" like the blinkfeed mod. This would be option 1 in my previous post.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk

During the forum thread for NexSense ROM, some key issues weren't able to be fixed and many people tried. The issues are much deeper than just modifying a file, first you have to know what's in HTC framework and add it to your ROMs. Now the problem was described by rootSU's post. It is unfortunately difficult.
This means that yes, it's not impossible to get HTC apps and and an HTC ROM, it just hasn't been done yet by a skilled developer. The OP of NexSense made tons of progress though.

There has been some news of HTC releasing some of its apps like Zoe and blinkfeed in the play store for all android devices. I think the next best thing might be to wait and see what HTC does with that idea and exactly what apps they plan to release

[Q] HTC Sense on Nexus S

Hi All,
I have previously tried nexussense 0.2 on my Nexus S - it ran very perfectly except that the 3G is not working and if activated it caused error messages and wont stop not until you restart.
i don't want to give up my Nexus S but would like to enjoy the HTC sense...
anyone has any idea if someone's cooking a new rom for this?
Thanks in advance!
Bubby is working on one for the ns4g but maybe a n's version will be out too

this is really sad coz i enjoyed the sense on nexus S...
i came from Desire HD before Nexus S...the port to Desire HD is ok...but it will be really hard to make it work properly without noticable bugs because Sense is using Rosie framework...IMO Sense sucks eats a lot of memory and very slow...still plain is ok

Since it worked on the galaxy s in galaxysense, there's probably some libs, bins, build.prop lines, and etc files you can copy from there.

[Metamorph]Customize your One S[Animations][Emoticons]

Hello,
Here is my first contribution to the One S community! If all goes well, this wont be my last! So I've been playing with metamorph for a while now and love the customization it offers! These can be applied using Metamorph or Zipthemer, both can be found in the Play Store for free. I personally use Zipthemer because it makes a back to stock zip just in case you don't want the mod anymore.
Now for the usual disclaimer:
I'm not responsible for ANY damages that may occur from you using this mod. You flash this at you own risk and assume full responsibility for your DEVICE. Always make sure you make a Nandroid Backup just incase something goes wrong.
These Metamorphs work on All Roms for the One S(Deodexed and Odexed) and can be used on other devices as well. There is nothing device specific in these mods.
Instructions for applying these Metamorphs
How to use Metamorph:
I personally have not used Metamorph on the One S so your on your own with that, if you do have any issues use Zipthemer.
How to use Zipthemer:
If you use Zipthemer make sure you UPDATE TO EDIFY in settings. If you don't update to edify the zips it creates will not flash properly. If you ask me why its not flashing in recovery that means you didn't read and I will not answer... Well I probably will but I will be irritated.
I have been using these animations for a long time and have found them from across the web. Again I DID NOT create the animaitons! I am just sharing with everyone what I've been using for years. I do not know who created them but if you created them or know who did PM me and I'll add the credits. I had to remove some of the xmls that are no longer supported by ICS.
YouTube Videos
Bounce Animations
Flip Animations
Fly Animations
Fold Animations
The Smokem Blend are the animations that I mixed from these zips and other places across the web. It took me a lot of flashing and fiddling to get them just the way I wanted. I'm still working on them so expect them to change regularly. You will also find the Emoticons that have been requested across our forum. They will apply the HTC Smilies to the Talk app and the framework. I have tested them and they should all be working fine. Let me know if you have any issues I'll try my best to resolve them... I'll also be taking requests and if Metamorph can accomplish it, then I will do it. Enjoy everyone!

Alright as requested here are the Stock Galaxy Nexus and Jellybean Animations. I have tested them and the work great one the One S and probably any ICS rom... I would not recommend applying them to a Gingerbread rom though as it will cause the device to not boot up... You have been warned! Enjoy!
Might need this one also.....
One More should be good....
It works well! thank you
Where can I find ics stock animation please ?

Your welcome! Glad you like them
Why exactly are you looking for ICS animations? If you need them to replace these and go back to "stock" I can make a metamorph for that. If you want them so you can use them on a device without ICS unfortunately a metamorph will not work. The ICS animations have to be compiled into the framework for them to work properly... If they are not compiled in the phone will not boot. I learned that the hard way lol. Let me know and I'll make one up for you if your still interested.

You are going to have to elaborate a little bit. What animations caused a bootloop for you? What rom did you apply them to? I've tested them all but I'm currently on AOKP so that might be the difference... Let me know and I'll try to get it sorted out for you.

IDEA: port MultiROM system from nexus 7

HELLLLO guys, I have a fantastic nexus 7 and a week ago something amazing came up
this experimental feature is called MultiROM and allow to have the multi-boot function in the device...in the nexus is useful to boot ubuntu, but is also great for boot multiple roms.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2011403
this is the thread of the project, in the second post OP explains "how is made", so maybe a dev could port this or do something like
I am not a developer, this is not a request, just an idea.
cheers.
It seems like this is similar to boot manager.

it starts on every boot, you choose rom and boot it...is quite simple...it requires a modified recovery to install and manage roms
on my nexus is awesome

[Q] Is there a working Sense 5 port?

Like the title said. I know there is a Sense 5 port over on the developers forum but I am super desperate for one. That thing runs smooth as heck!
All sense ROMs are in android development section. If there's not one there then there's not one.

also when you download the sense 5 port take time and read through the thread because there are lots of bug fixes throughout it. as of now my phone on sense 5 is pretty much fully funtional with working data and mms
The sense 5 port is working great. Data works, mms, gps all working as well. Read through like he said. You have to flash and add in your own apn settings to get your data running. The port is extremely smooth and quick. Sense 5 makes it feel like a new phone.
Sent from my HTC One XL using xda app-developers app
The sense 5 port R2 contains the t-mobile mms and data setting. Also, people who have problems with the mms, try to go to to messaging, then settings, and mms, then change the maximum size to 1M

[Q] Do you have to install a ROM to get xposed?

Do I need to get a ROM with xposed on it or can I install it myself without one? This is my first nexus device so I'm new to this territory! Sorry for the newbie question
Sent from my Nexus 5 using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
Xposed isn't nexus specific so the same rules apply to any Android device.
The point of Xposed is to be able to apply custom features without having to change rom or edit your existing rom, so nope - you can use whatever rom is there now
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Your device does, however, have to be rooted.

Okay thank you - so don't HAVE to have a ROM right? I am on Vomers stock ATM so in theory I can just flash xposed on and done?
Just confusing because all the other phones I've had its just always been a part of the Roms I've used and I don't see one in the nexus specific Roms!

Xposed is an apk that you install. Then from there, you install frameworks. I've never seen it included in any rom.

It's included in a few ROMs which are just small modifications of the stock ROM lol.. And they usually come with GravityBox which is kind of pointless and you might as well use a full AOSP/CAF custom ROM.

Ah the sorts of ROMs I stay away from then
To be honest, if you're including it with a ROM, it means you either cannot be bothered to or do not have the skill to add teh functions to a rom, in either case - perhaps you shouldn't release a "rom" hahah
