[Q] Goophone N2 GT-N7100

Hello
I have a goophone N2 which is Galaxy Note 2 clone. It has the MK6577 chipset and the model number listed in the device information is GT-N7100.
I really would like to flash it so i can have Google play store and get rid of the horrendous Chinese spam. Also the GPS doesn't work at all despite replacing the gps.conf file with a couple of different ones from the forum...
I have rooted it, but i get the message 'unfortunately Google play has stopped working' when i try and put the store on there. What's strange is it'll let me put Amazon market place on there but Google Play won't work.
Anyway - I am looking for a ROM which will be compatible with my handset, I don't really wanna brick it byt just trying randomly, so thought i'd ask here as I've flashed a couple of handsets using advice from members.
Can anyone help?

Ok a few more details might help.
The main question is will one of the GT-N7100 roms work?
I've ran vellamo and the device info says
model number gt-n7100
board: gt-n7100
cpu: ABI - armeabi v7a
device name: n7100
basedband version: n7100zcalh3
Kernel version:
3.0.13-93991 [email protected]#1
build number jro03c.n7100calh40
Anyone give me some help or tips with this?

Seen as I seem to be talking to myself I will update for everyone.
I have rooted and installed super user. I then installed Google Play using the method in the nursing-now.blogspot post (cannot post link sorry)
I then manually deleted all the Chinese system apps using root explorer.
This then caused permission issues so I downloaded CMW and used the fix permission function to re allocate the permissions.
I now have google play and am able to install various apps.
The GPS still will not work at all - not a sausage - despite copying gps.conf from the xda thread...
good luck all. (if anyone ever reads this!)

I did flash rom with any rom found on the net, now I have google play store but is not working wi-fi, bluetooth and gps....help me please!!!
P.S. the phone is the same (goophone N2 N7100)

I am in need of backup this ROM, made the device itself, I'll only be able to recover my through it, because I'm not having access to the usb device.
If anyone has the Goophone N2PRO and can do this backup and send me I appreciate it.

It depends on the web page. If that page does not offer a desktop version (link is usually at the bottom), then really don't know.

I have never installed it before, but you should be able to connect your M8 to your PC and type the following command from a terminal (with adb tools installed):

adb install C:\path\to\the.apk
Note you will probably need to choose yes for "Allow unknown sources" under the devices Security settings and allow USB debugging under Developer Options (if you don't have that under settings, tap Build Number 7 or 8 times).

Get an app like StickMount (by Chainfire) from the Google Play store. You will need to be rooted for this app to work. Insert drive with OTG cable, and StickMount should ask if you want to mount it.
Any other questions, the device experts here should be able to assist.

If you use Chrome as your web browser you can get the desktop version of a page in Chrome's menu. Touch the three dot menu button in Chrome and in the menu that opens there's an entry in there that says "request desktop version".

Might your data folder of viber is causing you problem, try to remove viber related folder from android/data

how to block Youtube, facebook etc. on Android to safe my Kids

hi all,
I want to block youtube, facebook and all other video sites on my daughter's tablet & smart phone ( tablet not have SIM option ) to safe her from any kind of negativity like p*rnography etc. or any other way she or her friends can't trace or re-install these apps. or stop/uninstall my app to block these sites... please help you people can understand my situation.
I knew that she can use her friend's tablet/smart phone but at least I want solution for her table & smart phone. ( not rooted )

What device is it? Can you root it? If so root it, change the host file to block all that you want to block then unroot it.

I don't know about Linux filesystem / structure can you please help me about the location of file and a sample entry of Host file ?
And off course how I can root these devices ? and which custom ROM is best to use for the purpose ?

I'm looking for kinda the same app(s). With the possiblety to set a time limit on different app, however I needs to be free. I have tired many apps and every app I have tried is paid with a free trial. Does nothing like this exist that is free?

This is very easy, you can only install a separate android launcher and then install apks later on. Rooting is not really helpful
