Search for CID getter in the play store. Run the app and on top of the list you can read your CID.

Thanks I use CID GETTER it says cid O2___001, but my question is if it is O2 brand then how I'm running another carrier network?
Sent from my HTC Desire S using xda app-developers app
If you put another sim in it and it works everything is fine. If not, your phone is carrier locked and you have to go some extra steps.
Mine is O2 brandet as well and I'm using another carrier. Just try it and you'll see what happens.

CID doesn't say anything about carrier lock (SIM lock). CID locks you to a ROM of certain region or provider, unless you bypass it by goldcard. But whatever ROM you have, if your phone is not SIM-locked - you'll be able to stick any SIM into it and it'll work.
Is there any way to know how it was unlocked (sim). Cause I'm running another simcard in another region (Bangladesh, asia). But cid getter said cid is o2___001& another question is if I update to ics(ota update) does it lock(SIMLOCK /network lock) again?

If you buy a phone that's made to work on one carrier, put another carrier's SIM and it works - it means it's SIM unlocked.
SIM unlock can be done either by XTC Clip or by unlock code. In both cases it will be valid whatever ROM you put on the phone, as I wrote above.
Hi, while rooting using Ace hack kit my phone did not get to boot.
It can't be detected by the software and is stuck on the black screen with the red triangle over the phone.

Could this issue be resolved?
I already tried running the Ace Hack software with Ubuntu, but still the phone can't be detected.
Any idea to fix this?
Thanks...
Can you get to the boot loader

If you mean when I press volume down and power button and you can go to the phone's factory menu (fastboot, hard reset, recovery etc.),
Yes
Do you have the original PD98IMG.zip?
Put it back to your SD card and reboot. Do the update. This should help...

We're there any error messages in the AAHK output? What version of Android were you on when you rooted and did you downgrade?

Is the bootloader locked, unlocked or re locked?

I believe it will.not show as it is visible only to hboots v2.0 afaik.
My suggestion is to RUU to your current version. Or higher.

Spot on Skanob. That is the precise reason why it is always recommended to downgrade to v0.98 prior to returning a phone - they can't see that you've been messing around with it.

May have over looked something but wanted to reset my HBOOT loader to stock for warranty sake. As my phone has some physical damage as well as camera not working. Is there a way to get back s-on locked boot loader status and normal stock CID back. I had up dated boot loader once i believe and so have red developer text. This is a HTC One X (Not ONE XL) AT&T phone. If there is away to do all that I will do it. Well thanks for any response and for taking the time to read this and yes I seen a way to get locked status back on HTC one X but don't know about the other stuff and want to do this properly. Than ks again.
