Hello every one happy new year!
Today I will show you a new ROM，made by wanansmile from China.If you flash it，you will find something amazing！！！
It is based on the lastest Chinese vision I9103ZCLPD（choosing this ROM because I feel it`s more stable than CM，as smooth as CM，but almost no bug ，more suitable for long time using）

I have a question sir. Is it compulsary for me to flash the chinese version of Ics or any other stock ics rom is fine for this

Look at the last screenshot in OP
the language under Ongoing is i guess Chinese..is there any way i can convert it to english?
it seems awkward when everything is in English and something is in Chinese..

Flashing ZCLPD is recommended as the ROM is based on it..

Nup I think its not mandatory to Install Chinese ZCLPD Version. If you are coming from ICS just wipe data & cache then flash it.
I have backup of ICS Mazel II, install it over that. Working great.
But Yes, If you are coming from Lower Version, I think one should install Chinese ZCLPD Version first to avail full feature of it.
For reverting Back to English Language, Just do as below:
1) Select left soft key
2) Choose language option( it will be in Chinese )
3) In first option, just drag down that & select english language.

I am on stock Indian ICS , will it be okay if i wipe data & cache ? emmc bug ? or shell i need to install safe kernel ?

First, I m Vikesh..so called it by my Name..
Now, I can feel not something new as I have used New Angeek ROM as well. but yeahh..It have smoothness better then any ICS ROM & my favourite Galaxy S3 Toggles animations while Dragging it down. Battery backup is as usual is Great. I haven't install any apps now, will revert back.
Have anybody notices after clicking on "call recording" options, nothing saved in Recording folder..??
Where does it save..?
Edit: Yes got it. Recording saves in Sound folder.
Played Temple 2 game, Lagged only one time when start. After that, No lag at all.. :good:

It's because we don't have a separate input source for real call recording. That's why we srt the input source to microphone and it only records your sound properly.

SGS4 in South Korea has Yamaha's sound codec(YMU831) and the parameters of all of the volumes can adjustable in rom.

Note : If you just delete this image file in SystemUI.apk you want to edit and reboot after paste this, you'll be under endless reboot.
3) Paste the SystemUI.apk into your phone and reboot

Can someone please verify the exact steps on how to root SHV-E300s? I mean, do I need to install custom firmwares using Odin first before rooting, etc.

Here are ME6 rooted kernels which I repacked as supercurio's method.
Choose kernel to be matched with your carrier and flash it via Odin.

For now with latest sammy build, yes. Latest way to root is flashing kernel fixed for. All of latest sgs4s are same on this problem.
Fortunately, a way to root appeared. You'd check the main post

EDIT: Nevermind. I saw the differences between the files. I have to get some sleep or something. LOL.

Just updated via software update. File size is about 50+mb & it says improve stability. Updated & noticed phone running little smoother.

One thing that I would do to help make this thread complete is to add the stock non rooted kernels to the OP. That way if someone messes up they can fix their phone without any problems.

I haven't updated to the ME6 firmware yet. I still have the stock firmware (out of the box) MDK. Do I have to update/flash the kernel posted here to root?

If you have stock sammy rom, you don't have to look for the stock kernel.
Just make a copy the stock rom and open the tar package with data compressing softwares(alzip?) and delete files except boot.img in the tar package. Then, that's the stock kernel to turn back.

[MOD] Call Recorder Mod (odex & deodexed)

Discovered this awesome Call Recorder mod today and tried the odex version on my stock, odex, rooted MF9. And it works perfectly.
Just download the appropriate file for your setup--odex or deodex--and flash in recovery.
The rest of my setup is v7.11.13 ktoonsez kernel and Xposed framework + Tweakbox + Nottach, and the latest Viper4Android audio mod. There were no conflicts. Made some test calls today and each has been successful.

Yea, it's been a long time since someone finally figured it out. That was the last of my usual mods installed to my phone I've been waiting for release for the GS4. Seems like the AT&T guys have many good developers.

CallRecorder.apk & CallRecorder.odex
Hello,
My Device is Lenovo A600E
under /system/app folder I have found 2 files {B}CallRecorder.apk [/B]and CallRecorder.odex. These files have installed by manufacturer.
It needs root access for writing in this area as usual .
Also I found there is Phone Call conversation recorder in Lenovo A600E which is hidden and undocumented in HELP PDF and printed manuals. http://download.lenovo.com/consumer/phone/lenovo_a600e_ug_v1.0.pdf
When we make or receive any call that time if we press MEnu key (the leftmost key ) Start recording option comes up for selection. it works and saves recorded conversations under /CallRecording with AMR type files. I can get Crystal Clear Recording ... But...
My problem is that it stops recording after some time ( it can be 8 minutes 4 minutes etc ) and some times it records entire phone call conversation. I have tested up to 30 minutes max duration of recording. I have put 32 GB Memory Card which is 95% Free so there is no problem of space.
I love this recorder as there is no additional task or app needed and at any time during call we can start and stop the recording.
Very light and hidden. it creates files with DATE+TIME.amr naming format.
Mine is ICS 4.0.4. Will be able to help me in this regard? How to resolve the issue ?

The rest of my setup is v7.11.13 ktoonsez kernel and Xposed framework + Tweakbox + Nottach, and the latest Viper4Android audio mod. There were no conflicts. Made some test calls today and each has been successful.

[MOD][i9505][CM12.1] Enable call recording from dialer

Hello,
This MOD enable call recording from dialer on Galaxy S4 for CM-based ROMs.
Due to the nature of this MOD, please check your local legislation / legal advisor before using it!
I was previously using this MOD @lingowistico made for the galaxy S5, but I experienced some bugs, so I created my own modified dialer.apk file based on an official CM12.1 build. This is my first work on android and I hope it will be useful for some of you guys.
The modified dialer.apk is based on 09/04 nightly. I will update it when needed (changes in the source code).

How to install:
- download the .zip file (use the last version before your nightly's date)
- go to Settings - Apps and wipe Dialer cache/data
- reboot in recovery and flash the .zip (tested with twrp-2.8.7.0-released)
- reboot system
Confirmed working on:
- i9505 jfltexx: CM12.1 and ResurrectionRemix
- i9500: CM12.1
FAQ:
- use the 3 dot menu to record call
- the 3 dot menu button only appear when call is set up
- record both way
- you can switch between recording format (AMR and AAC/m4a) in dialer settings - calls
- What did I change ? (see below)
(check etoy's tutorial in credits for more infos, but here you can learn his method)
1) extract the Dialer.apk with SystemExtractor
2) decompile Dialer.apk with Advanced ApkTool 4.1.0 and add latest apktool.jar
3) in \res\ folder delete all values-mcc* folders
4) in \res\values\bools.xml change <bool name="call_recording_enabled">false</bool> to true
5) in res\values\integers.xml edit <integer name="call_recording_audio_source">1</integer> to 4
6) recompile

@dingila It should work on any CM12.1 based ROM but not sure about ResurrectionRemix because many things are cherry-picked from other builds.
Could you test it and let us know? (make a nand backup first)

You can choose between AMR and AAC format in settings.

As I said above, please test it on your ROM (make a nand backup first) and report here if the MOD is working or not, it takes less than 10 mins.
I cannot test every single custom rom, so test and report for others users.
Automatic recording is not a build-in feature, so it will not work.
Remember it is not a call recording app like the ones you can find in Play Store but a MOD to ENABLE the build-in call recording function. So it will only have the build-in features. Advantages are it is free, lightweight and smooth. If you want more features, try ACR or any other app.

By experience, third-party apps tend to have flaws. This MOD works great but tothers are specifically made for Touchwizz based ROMs (stock or custom).

I have ust checked Phoenix forum and my MOD will not work on your rom since it is stock-based (Touchwizz).

In the Dialer app, go to settings/calls/call recording.
And for what is worth, as far as I know, pushing the Thanks button never killed anyone!

It's working really nice in cm 12.1. One nice thing would be the automatic call recording. Do you know if we can handle this with a cmd or Tasker profile.
For example : after call is established Tasker will execute a cmd and the record is starting afterwards.

a susually you have to configure the phone at the beginning - one of the steps is xiaomi cloud: you can not skip this step or use cloud becouse it fc - I.m on 910C, rom 6.0, full wipe, TWRP 3.0.2

you can use other camera app. there are some bugs cant be fix until xiaomi update the patchrom
