Can't install on USB storage or SD card. - Galaxy Tab 2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I've had this problem for a bit. I can't install most any apps on my Tab 2. I guess it's from an auto-update to 4.2.2?
Is it easy to downgrade? I just had to flash this ROM to get it back up and running but I'm stuck with this issue of not being able to install anything.
Can I just flash another ROM in Odin and get to an earlier version? If so, can you link me to it?

Nothing?

Go to samfirmware.com and download the 4.1.2 firmware. I believe that had app2sd. You will need Odin to flash it.
If you want KitKat with app2sd, you will need a custom recovery to install it. Just reply and tell me which way you want to go.

I can't get any of the GT-P3100 4.1.2 firmwares to download. They are all bad gateways.

Where is another place to download the 4.1.2 firmware?

[Q] installing OTA

hey guys im running a rooted stock JB on my note 10.1, and now im getting OTA updates... would it be okay to just unroot my note 10.1 and download the update, than root it again?
Because it looks like this update will help improve stability.
Any advice?

that is what I would do, unroot update then re root
You might find, some do, that the OTA will fail. If this happens then you need to go to Sammobile, download the rom for your region and flash using ODIN. You shouldn' t loose anything this way but not promising anything s accidents do happen...

How do I root my phone I tried the method here it failed...
Also how do I flash ME7 if I cant install a custom recovery?
Ok so whenever I try flashing CWM to root my phone it says it works in Odin BUT
The phone wont boot in CWM. instead what happens is it says something about command error and takes me to the default Android recovery....
I read that there were some updates made by Samsung which made these methods not work.
I found the below tutorial which works for the GT-I9500
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/47...-jellybean.htm
Will this work on the SHV-E300L since as the post says that some of the GT-I9500 recoveries work on the Korean Variants?

[Q] Downgrade from 4.2.2

If got the update and 4.2.2 is terrible. So I would like to know how to downgrade back to 4.1.1. There probably is a way to do it through Odin (which would be preferred) and if there is, can you give me the links to the downloads.

Did you try a wipe data/cache in recovery mode? This should help a lot, after I did the new 4.2.2 is not so bad, is at least "good" ad the 4.1.2.

No root before flashing. But if you flash the stock rom via Odin, you will need to root it again.
If you can find a flashable zip, then yes, you can use a recovery.
But OP simply wants to return to stock 4.1.1. You can get back to complete stock setup with the Odin process.
Search online for exact procedures.

It's better if you download any 4.2.2 firmware from sammobile and flash it through Odin, because it will make sure that you have the latest bootloader, then you can root it, flash custom recovery, and then you can update to lollipop, any doubt or help? Here is the link to file you need to flash :-http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/download/17730/P3100XXDMG6_P3100OXADMG6_XEF/
I am also posting the steps:-
How to Update Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 P3100 to Official JB 4.2.2 XXDMG6 Firmware
Odin can be properly used only if your Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 drivers are being installed on your computer. If the drivers are not there, get them manually or use Samsung KIES.
Download Odin on your computer.
Unzip the file on your PC and install the same.
Also, run Odin on your computer.
Finally, go here and download the Jelly Bean 4.2.2 file.
Place the file on desktop and on the same place unzip the package.
Enter the Tab 2 in download mode.
For download mode first turn off your handset; wait a few seconds and then press on Power, Volume Down and Home buttons at the same time.
Connect your device with the computer via USB cable.
Odin will recognize your tablet and on the program you will see the “added” message displayed and the ID:COM section blue or yellow.
If not, resolve the problems by reinstalling the drivers on the computer.
From Odin click on the option named “PDA”.
Pick the update file from your computer.
The re-partition section and the f. reset time box should be unchecked.
Click on “start”.
The XXDMG6 Firmware will now be installed.
In the end on Odin the ID:COM section will be green and the “pass” message will be displayed.
Then, you will be able to unplug the USB cable; also reboot your device.

You don't need to update bootloader if you are on 4.1.2 as it has a lollipop compatible boot loader,
You can get the custom recovery file from here, I am posting of my favorite recovery that is TWRP
Just click here :- TWRP
Of course you need a rooted tab for flashing it, you can just download it to your tab and flash it by using Rashr (it's a app available on playstore, just click on it to go to the google play page to download it) or existing recovery, that you most probably don't have.
And tell me anything else you want, but don't forget to press the thanks button

Need help going back to stock

I have a 7" Galaxy Tab 2 (P-3100 I think) and I am planning on finally getting rid of it. I am on Lineage 13 right now and I want to return to stock. I would use Odin but the problem is my USB cable is dead.
What should I do? Does anyone happen to have a TWRP backup of clean stock or something? Or is there a .zip version of stock lying around somewhere that can be flashed through TWRP?
