STOCK ROM
Stock ROM can be downloaded HERE.
This stock ROM is based on Android 4.3 with the latest S011 update which was released on 21/07/2014. The size of the zip file of Stock ROM is 374 MB.
So start customizing your phone without any fear, stock ROM is now available!

IMPORTANT HARDWARE KEY COMBOS
Recovery Mode: Volume Up + Power
This is conventional recovery mode.
Xolo-custom Test Mode: Volume Down + Power
This is a Custom Hardware testing mode by Xolo which is used by Xolo service centre employees to debug any issues in hardware.
Fastboot Mode: To enter this mode, hold down VOLUME UP + VOLUME DOWN together and then insert USB cable (plugged in your PC) and your phone will automatically startup and will be in fastboot mode (There will be a Xolo Logo on the screen). We're lucky to have fastboot mode in our device unlike any custom protocol like ODIN in Samsung.

FAQs
Can we get CyanogenMod or any custom firmware (source-built)?
NO. As of yet, Xolo has not released kernel source code of Q1000 Opus2 which is a must to get source-built ROMs on our device. I have sent a request to Xolo-Care to provide kernel source code but they don't care to reply. The history says that Xolo has been unfavorable to developers (don't provide kernel source).
Is our Stock ROM built on AOSP open-master?
NO. Xolo has used CAF kernel and added a lot of custom apps (to system partition) which is of course, not AOSP.
Can we use Xposed Modules?
YES. Our Stock ROM is close to AOSP (no heavy themeing like Samsung Touchwiz), so yes.
Which GPU and Chipset are we running?
Xolo (on it's website) advertises that our device has Adreno 302 GPU but I'm pretty confused of SoC on this device because apps like: CPU-Z show that we are running Adreno 305 unlike advertised. Moreover, pdadb specs and some apps like: Antutu CPU master show that we are running on msm8212 but when I see the build.prop, it's ro.build.platform=msm8610. What I believe is, our device is an msm8610 with an exceptionally new range of quad-cores (exceptionally because msm8610 is dual-core) with an Adreno 305 GPU like some of new mid-range HTC devices come with.
Where's KitKat update?
It may be very soon that we'll be getting KitKat update because its predecessor: Xolo Q1000 Opus already got KitKat (which was originally launched with Android 4.2 JellyBean). We have much wider scope for updates now as our device comes with android 4.3 out of the box and is newly launched (in July 2014).

CAN ANY ONE TRY TO PORT THIS ROM IN THE GIVEN LINK
IT IS REAL 4.3.1 AND IT IS MTK 6589 BASED AND SUPPORTS ONLY SINGLE SIM

The very first thing is that its a 4.2 ROM based on Samsung UI.The API level in build.prop is showing 17 which is 4.2.
So I will request you to wait. There is no 4.3 yet for any MTK device.
Second thing, As like earlier its not booting. It stucks on boot animation and in log asking for some libnetcmdiface.so which is next to impossible thing to make a lib for the ROM.
Now I will request you all to please wait and let any MTK device get 4.4 first and then we all will start our work that we can for porting it to our device and other MT6577 device.

No custom roms for it...
Noone uploads for this device but still there an way to get ur phone exactly like KITKAT.
Including android version.
Install Xposed and then Xposed module "Eggster" and this will let you change the default easter egg i.e. jellybean
and then open root explorer and edit build.prop and change your device name , android version everything........
and install Xblast Tools
and GravityBox and full enjoy Kitkat Experience without any problem! :good:
You need drivers first.!
Just google 'enable adb drivers on nvidia based android tablets' and install drivers easily. After you sucessfully root, I want you to help me. Install flashify app and backup your recovery and share it with me , the backup (in a zip file maybe). Thanks.

Hey everyone. I wanted to know that if a rom can be ported, then what type of rom can be ported? I have ported two successfully. Just needed to know that can I port a Rom of higher version? My device has mediatek processor and version is jellybean with the kernel version ,3.4.5 . Want to port a Rom of the version Marshmallow made for mediatek devices including kernel version 3.4.7. Please guide me for any way to port this Rom. Even if it gets technical. Any information will be appreciated. Thx
Not all of the MTK processor can run fluently marshmallow, for example the MT6589 can run only with KitKat and older version, so first of all be sure that your device processor supports marshmallow.
How can I find that if my processor supports higher veversions other than kitkat? Cant find it on Google

It tells that my hardware failed to support marshmallow
*cough* finger sensor *cough* but the app's positive for lollipop. You know that the marshmallow is a refined version version of lollipop. Maybe, I can get it to work with kernel porting or I have to remove everything that state's "finger sensor" in the Rom?
If the app said that your hardware doesn't support marshmallow you can't run marshmallow

You know , even low end PCs can do the job sometimes , I remember , I tried to build AOSP Extended for my Nextbit Robin with a laptop , my config was :
• 2Gigs of Ram
• Intel Core 2 Duo
• An old Intel graphic card
• Running a 32-bit Linux
I successfully cloned the source , and I start building , but it failed because I needed 64-bit Libraries.
So give it a try , it will take time but it may work.

Hey mate,
I certainly can help you out in regards to rooting,
Firstly have you ever rooted a device before & which model 5044 do you have the 5044T 5044D or 5044Y, if your device is Optus X spirit from optus it will be 5044T,
With roms unfortunately there may not be one available for your device due to how new these are if you have 5044Y User154 has CRdroid which is android 7.1.2 im currently trying to release it for the 5044T but there is a null imei problem so im halted
Im also tryingto build LOS16 for these but im not sure if its going to work or not,
You wont find any rom from anywhere for this phone unfortunately due to how new they are myself & user154 have only just really kicked off the development for these with me Building the first working TWRP and philz touch for these and user 154 building the first working custom rom for the 5044Y variant,
Over time others will contribute to developing of the 5044 and things will get rolling,

Ill have AOSP 7.1.2 custom rom up in a week or less hopefully for the Optus X spirit,
It will come with default Trebuchet Launcher from LineageOS 14.1, if you want nova launcher on it just download it from the google play store when i release it,
Front camera needs fixing now and thats it so wont be far away,
This post originally also did have a rooting guide attached to it but i removed it as was taking up alot of space so what ill do when i get some free time is type one out in a .txt file zip it up and upload the link here so you can just download it and read instructions.
