It's useless.... the SD storage in D838 is simulated from internal storage, which means physically they are stored on same storage, NOT the external SD Card we added in....
Use Force2SD, it's work.

i think the SD in Force2SD is refer to internal SD, not external SD Card....
you are wrong. I checked. Force2SD move applications to external Sd card. Sorry for bad English.

Hey folks,
Should I not be able to access more storage space? I'm missing 4 gigs, roughly.
A while back I was forced to reformat my SD card, and now it shows up as /sdcard0/ in Solid Explorer. Might I have inadvertently partitioned it somehow?
See screenshot attached.
P.S. I'm running CyanogenMod 10; the full details of my having to reformat my sdcard are here.
If you shake the phone can you hear them rattling around in there?
what only 8 thanks in a day =)

You also have to account for the space for /system. The hox was designed with 16gb total. Broke up into different partitions. Sdcard, system, internal storage, and something else. There is a thread on here some where that explains it better. I'll see if I can find it for u.

So I managed to root my Kobo Arc 7, and I figured this would make it easier to use apps that would move apps to my external micro SD card. I guess I made a leap in logic. I tried every single app 2 sd application available on Google Play and not one of them will actually move my apps from the internal storage to the external one. Is there an app that actually works with a Kobo Arc 7 for this purpose? Alternatively, is there some kind file path manipulation I can do to make such an app work on this device? I apologize in advance for my marked ignorance with regard to this stuff.

I just tried Clean Master. It will allow me to back-up my apps I suppose, but I'm looking to actually move the "moveable" aps off the internal sd and onto the external one.
Use external 2 internal apk

I cant seem to locate information on unlocking the bootloader and where to get the correct CWM for this tablet. If you point me in the right direction I'll hook you up ?

Nothing to test, cwm works and its a backup. I'll see if I can pull images and make a stock zip like I did for AOSP. So that if it's ever needed again it will be easier.
Also check earlier in the thread for the location that cwm backs up to. For some reason it isn't the standard location.

btw dont know if you know this but there is an update for the ares 11a that upgrades it to android 6.0.1
to upgrade you need a micro sd
first download this

then you just stick the zip file on the sd and turn of the tablet put the sd in then boot it up
then unlock the tablet and it will ask you if you want to upgrade and then you just press upgrade
