so far everything works.
Ignore post
Does Wifi/Bt on yet or is that broken.
I thought 2.3 wasnt on g1 yet cause of some of the other ginger threads saying it's not supported anymore..
LOL
might try it in the morning when i remove my g1 from the ps3 lol but looking forward to this "AOSP 2.3" build
"everything works"
wonder if its a 2.2.1, cyanogen 6.1 with a theme on top and build.prop edited to show 2.3
by all means im not slagging your work. i will test in the morning and edit post accordingly
Exciting news. Will test. Thanks for the Share.
Good try
In any case a nice froyo theme.

Wait, is this actually real?
Seriously why lie?
just a suggestion: when you post screenshots of the Market, you might want to find one where the Market is working. "no matching content in Android Market". You fail, sir.
Wow, the themes not even complete -_-
The menus are white not black, the settings aren't supposed to be colored like that, and the dialer is the old one from froyo/eclair
Troll harder, bro
So can anyone give final confirm: Is this actually a 2.3 based rom, or just a themed CM?

What issue do you have?
This is the awesomest news i've heard in quite awhile especially after hearing from andy that he won't be developing on ICS anymore.
Anyways, I hope this porting goes smoothly and finally we can get an awesomely stable and fast build !
What new features will this ROM offer? As in like performance, speed, battery life, or new UI?
@all - Please don;t be an A***ole and rate this thread as 1 star, it disappoints the dev greatly. He isn't doing this for money or other ****, its just an interest.

Some lg proprietary framework config **** :| anyway it builds lots of stuff! It's an error in mik's device folder. Removing incriminated folder makes me build succesfully.
For who asks: I'm now looking into codeaurora's ICS git.

@Bytecode i hope u fix the dsp in this as its buggy in 6.5.8.. Or is it possible to port the music player of CM9(if available) into this???afaik its gonna b new in CM9..
Have no more that error, but still similiar ones: Gimme a min and I'll post them. But now building codeaurora ICS
Removing overlay folder makes me build succesfully, and boots, but everything FCs. Too tired now, will try tomorrow. Also CAF is giving me troubles :|
Since you managed to boot, what is currently working on your ROM?
I mean, aside from the force closing apps.

Hello there,Finally I have a working PC to build stuff. So here I revealed my secret xmas present project
OMFGB,also known as GngerBread,is a CyanogenMod opensource fork created by t3hh4xx0r. Includes various options like God Mode, custom Launcher2 etc.
So,I downloaded the sources, and now I'm very, very close to make a succesful build. I only got a wierd error I'm trying to fix.
About bugs: There will be only few bugs, since this is basically CM7. My parallel project is CAF-based Android 4.0 ROM and CM6.
ETA: About two days

i'm trying
im using ubuntu 13.10 with kernel 3.11
using any other kernels gives me errors that are solved by reinstalling grub but the other kernels can't be loaded as the grub is not updated
i complied just once and it broke because of no space
now im trying a new 250 gb hdd and if i manage to finnaly boot ubuntu now i will try the damn compilation
i have the source code already downloaded so i will be lucky (on a pentium dual core 2.20, 3 gb ram ddr2 it took 270 minutes to repo sync)
p.s. of course ubuntu 64 bit but as i have ddr2 ram its slow as hell

the problem with 64 bit OS is that you sacrifice ram for a better cpu performance (almost 10%)
and sync repo takes a lot of cpu
but you need ram to sacrifice

Then create a file with the name local_manifest.xml in the local_manifests directory. To see this directory, you have to press Ctrl-H in your file manager.

Nopes, it didn't help as well. Tried below commands on Windows Machine.
C:\adb>adb shell cat /proc/kmsg > kernelmsg3.txt // It generated few o/p but I didn't reboot device after flashing ROM/Gapps, Mayb be it's capturing just flashing logs which are not useful for us.
C:\adb>adb shell cat /proc/kmsg
error: device '(null)' not found
C:\adb>

But it was back again to normal after that.
