How to restore WiFi icon on notifications bar - General Questions and Answers

Hey guys, unfortunately I have lost the WiFi icon on my notifications bar. I have rooted my phone and removed some bloatware.
I have a Samsung n7105 have searched the forums and people are suggesting on factory resetting but I am afraid of losing my stuff.

It maybe as a result of a root I did, looking at restoring. Very annoying bug.

Yeah so it sounds like you removed something important relating to the android system. You can go to factory settings, or you can first try flashing the newest gapps for the app yo be returned, or reflash your rom, then you won't lose any of your personal data.

Only a g in status bat data

I flashed a update to a touchwiz rom for my att galaxy s iii. Now I rarely hav e data and when I do its only a g. I hear that's slower than edge. I called a number to get my imei after a few days of research and it says 0/00. I got an app with the same results. What do I do now. I am hesitant that its my imei cause I am fine on WiFi and making calls and I can get data, its just slow. Any help would be grateful. Thanks

Anyone's YouTube app been buffering like crazy on mobile data?

This started for me about two days ago. I've uninstalled, cleared cache and data. I finally got it working again by reverting back to the stock pre-installed app. Anyone know where to get the version before this most recent update?

Reverting back to the originally installed app should help.

I kept getting FC's until I uninstalled the updates.
Been happening to me and I've been on WiFi.
What Rom are you guys on? I'm on stock and I haven't had this issue

It's also been happening to me over Wi-Fi as well.

I've had this happen to me as well. Could never figure out what it was but eventually the problem went away. My only theory is Verizon throttling me for using to much data but I don't know cause I average about 30-40gigs a month and it doesn't happen every month.
Getting the same over data

Did for me.
I tried a few older YouTube apks and I am happy with 5.3.23. Everything after that buffers like crazy for me.

no, different bars. when you pull down on your notification bars, the signal there. if white, then connected to googles servers, if colored then not connected. and using xposed could create issues in itself, undocumented issues.
Mmm... It's orange too, so I think it isn't connected..
How it's possible? And what can I do?

if its orange, then its not connected. first off, just try rebooting. if still its not working, uninstall the xposed completely and try again.
I have to uninstall the modules too?

yea. unfortunately, xposed brings so many undocumented issues into the mix that im going to need it completely uninstalled to help with your issue. i mean whats the point of trying to figure the issue out if you keep installed the one thing that can create these issues?
Nothing is changed after uninstalling and rebooting...

ok, now im trying to figure out why you arent connecting to googles services.. has this been like this for a while, or only started today? if it only started today, it can happen occasionally. id give it a day or less to see if it connects, i guess the issue could be google side as well.
Yes, it's happened today after configured Gravity Box...
However, I've read some topic on the web saying that it could be a root problem, even if I have never heard about this...
Mmm... I'll wait until tomorrow...
Thank you for the help, I'll keep you informed

all "root" does is give you permission to change system files, thats all. only way it can be a "root issue is if you went and changed system files(which i doubt). so if it happened after configuring gravity box, chances are that its related to it. again, xposed comes with many many undocumented issues.
Understood, hope it will work

thats called "heads up notification", i think its default on lollipop...i dont know if it can be disabled...
It totally can be disabled with Lollipop on the Galaxy S5 and is very easily done using the
This is another one of my complaints regarding the S6. I cant seem to turn this setting off!
What you want was easily done with Lollipop on the S5 but again, it seem that this functionality has been removed or is simply not working yet.
Esentially, there is no way to block txt messages from being shown on the unlock screen which is unbelievable.
Aww man.. that's just silly! Yeah its the heads up notification and its irritating the hell outta me..
